We moved in in February 2024. The first 2 weeks of moving in we did not have any cool air. It is now November and we have had ac issues ever since. The main issues has been the leaking in the bathrooms from the “defrosting” ac unit. We now have signs of mold and mildew and maintenance resolved the issue by painting over it. Management was very condescending when told and said that we should have cleaned the mold and if we want any type of rental compensation we would have to go through the state. Stay away! These apartments are a joke. They make cheap renovations and temporarily fix issues. DO NOT BE FOOLED! THEY ARE NOT LUXARY!

I feel as if the apartment complex has wonderful potential, but like better management of the complex ground and maintenance and the customer service could all use a bit of work to really make this place luxury living. But as it sits now the security and service are not up to par and I would say this is not luxury living.

My experience at The Lumiere has been horrible. Some days I come home to no hot water. With no explanation as to why I don’t! The leasing agents are rude and unprofessional. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is terrible, they made cheap repairs and call it renovating. Trash is everywhere on the sidewalk and dog crap. Also, the halls smell like sewage all the time. They also do nothing about obnoxious neighbors. They love to advertise the pool, well good luck using it, it turns into the neighborhood pool with people that don't even live here, and yes this was all reported to management. If you do come on a tour walk around without a staff member they will only show you the 5% of these apartments that are nice. Please don't leave a comment like call our office I tried when I lived here and it took me calling 3 or 4 times to even get an answer.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and have really enjoyed the convenience of location and the staff here have always been nice. My only complaint would be upkeep of the complex… dumpster areas are always trashed out, the pool area for a complex of this size doesn’t seem to have a regular maintenance schedule and the hallways sometimes get really trashed out before they’re addressed, again maybe need to be done on a regular basis.

In the area for work, I landed at The Luminaire for my stay. The friendly staff made getting the apartment easy and the maintenance staff keep the facility in good shape. The apartment has updated appliances and the option for in-unit washer/dryer or the use of shared laundry facilities in each building. Within walking distance to the Lakeshore Mall, there are many restaurants and shops are nearby.

Allows large dogs but there's not a lot of greenery for your pets to relieve themselves within the gated area. Right next to a bunch of neighborhoods no great for dog walking, unless you're signing up for a unit communication via email w/management is non-existent.

Clean apartment complex, it's safe, been here since 2016, periodically they have trouble residents but overnight it's 3/5 for safety. Work orders can take a very long time and that's frustrating. The staff especially Mr.Jimmy is polite and he tries to go beyond your expectations to ensure you have a good home experience. The maintenance staff are friendly and get their work done when they get to it. Rent is a little bit on the high end but mangeable

This is an older complex and the price is reasonable for the rental unit. The staff are friendly and helpfull. Other neighbors are quiet and polite.

Great place for location. Space is small for the price, and the prices will keep going up due to inflation. Services are good and responsive. Neighbors tend to be loud, and no control when it’s after 10 pm during summer fun times! The pool lights are always on so do not expect to sleep well, get black out curtains otherwise.

Do not rent this property in the summer. If you're going to rent the second floor units then you will have high temperatures at your unit.

The rent is high, the inside of the buildings are filthy. Due to poor weather stripping, lizards and other bugs get into the apartment. No one takes pride in where they live. The hallway floors are filthy and littered with soda and food droppings. It's disgusting. You have to make several requests and wait endlessly for maintenance related issues. You literally step out of your apartment and into hell.

Property management does not seem to care about issues that residents have with the property. My bathroom sink has been out of order for almost a month now without any sign of being fixed. I have attempted to get it fixed 5 times now since the problem started. Please consider living somewhere else.

This apartment is a good option. You can tell that they were poorly renovated and there are some cosmetic damages to the building itself, but overall staff is very friendly.

If there was negative stars i would give that. I moved in and from then NO AC, water dripping from my ceiling, only super hot water from taps and shower. Management is not concerned to fix all the issues. Horrible experience. Also, rodents fill the entire apartment complex.

My first floor apartment has flooded 3 times from pipes leaking IN THE WALLS. They are fooling everyone by keeping the outside somewhat decent because the inside is falling apart. The plumbing is horrible and the water is disgusting, the plumbing backs up into the tubs and toilets. Really poor craftsmanship and full of roaches. Do not live here if you have a small child. Absolutely no security, gates are always open.
I’m amazed with such information yall have provided. I would have never thought about sound. Such detail into this and that of what’s available and what you may be looking for has all been answered. Left me with no questions to ask because you’ve simply answered them alll!

They came into our apartment many times without any notice. We caught them on camera digging through our closet. Took almost 2 months to get our deposit back and Nicole in the office actually YELLED at me when i asked her the status of the check. Also we had a MASSIVE problem with flies the last 3 months of living there.

Domt care about the people living here! Our bathroom toilet broke and we called several times and noone ever came to fix it! The carpet was ruined and the tile breaks easily! I have cut my foot so may times I just had to fix it myself. They have no visitors parking so domt ever being visitors. They will tow any and everything! Water was broken for months. The gate is always open so no security And they upped rent 3 times what I was. Space is small and uncomfortable. Horrible place to live.

Hot water broken every 2 months and not for a month straight. Imagine not having a hot shower in your home for a month and being told you won’t be compensated for it because they “have documentation that they’ve been trying to repair it.” It being the 40+ year old broiler. After that, find out from another tenant who is moving out that at the last minute, when your lease is up, they’re going to increase your rent by $300. This is “justified” by their random “improvements” that are cheap and unfinished still after being an eyesore for months. Their repairs have not included the important things that actually need to be repaired/replaced like the windows and sliding glass doors that let in/out so much air, the a/c units that are nearly impossible to regulate, and obviously the water broiler. Also, Some of their selling points: gated— gates are never closed — they used to be closed randomly, literally no pattern— just random and aside from that, the exterior doors— at the street— outside of the gate— allowing access to the hallways of the units are never locked— also, used to be randomly locked which is just as annoying. This has caused me to come across homeless people and their trash living in the stairwells. Please avoid this place. They are money hungry bullies that do not see their tenants as humans living a life: only cash cows.

a year ago Do NOT stay here. Idk where to start. They SELL you on a gated community and the gate is never closed. They SELL you on a joint washer/dryer that doesnt wash your clothes always broken. It takes roughly 3 hours to dry something and it's still extremely wet after. So eventually you pay money to use the washer in dryer that's shared. On top of that the fridge is old and the ice it makes I'm sure is contaminated! Its brown and has a terrible smell!
This place got a new owner,a new manager and new stuff then everything has changed. The car gate and pool and equipments of gym are broke over months but they don't fix any of those. This place should be "gated community" but how is it gated when the gate is broke? The pool isn't actually broke, they just don't let us use it because there is water leak and they don't want to pay leaking water fee anymore so they shut it down in the middle of summer instead of fixing it. They used to maintain gym well but now they don't care and machines are broken. They just took them away so you gotta fight over to use the only one machine. They used to clean the hallway and outside everyday but now they don't and it stinks. The manager says they are busy since new owner cut the cost and they need more ppl.But I see stuffs just play with phone without picking up any trush or fooling around at gym. When I can hardly walk without stepping on dead roach or pet waste stain in a hallway ,this isn't the place I want to live anymore. Now they raised the rent. I seriously wonder how they can raise it when they don't take care of facilities.
Besides the ongoing issue with our combo washer / dryer, the worst parking rules ever and the fact that half of our apartment never cools down or geta cold, The apartments WERE actually pretty nice, decent, clean and for most part fairly quiet. Yet for 4-5 months now its obvious apartments are and have been managed by the most incompetent manager who does not seem to know, do or care about much of anything & clearly it shows & noticed by plenty!! They pretty much also have a whole new staff, think besides maybe 2-3 older employees but clearly things dont seem to get done as quick or detailed as in past!! Earlier this evening my neighbor told us Ms Nicole is not working in their office anymore either which was surprising and a bit upsetting becauae she was always so pleasant, friendly and gave off a sense that she truly cared. So Since our recent experience and outcome on issues and a complaint made to & discussed with the manager wasnt handled properly or confidentially, we arent sure who or how to go about contacting staff if have any future repairs, issues or complaints?!?! But, Thankfully we as a family have agreed that in 3 months we wont renew our lease for a 3rd year and have already begun looking for our next new place to live! With all the issues lately due to being poorly managed, You definitely are going to want to Stay clear of these apartments!!! HONESTLY, YOU WILL END UP REALLY REGRETTING IT IF YOU DON'T !!! Just read other peoples reviews on here and the other sites. They aren't all lies and made up bull crap)!!!
Charged me for carpet coming up after 2 wks of living there. Said we spilled a cleaning agent, which we didn’t. Told me I could pay at move out then charged more than quoted the first time
I've lived at Chateaux DiJon since 2015 and have no plans to move. It is clean, well-kept, and the staff is friendly. It is located in close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and has easy access to NOLA, universities, and to the Causeway. The surrounding areas are mostly businesses, restaurants, and luxury townhomes. Excellent value for the space.
Fixed the hot water numerous times and still dont work. Parking sucks they have more apartments than parking spaces. Office is closed on Saturday so you can't pick up any packages. The monthly charges for trash and water are really high. Hallways are smelly. Wouldn't be a bad place if rent was lower but the price you pay you would expect a little more.

New plumbing for hot water was replaced during the summer and the hall carpet is being replaced in every building- started during the summer and will continue until all buildings have new carpet. Thank you for your input.
Great large, clean apartments with big windows on well kept grounds. Nicely appointed weight room. Laundry appliance in apartment. Friendly people in a quiet, beautiful, safe location. Walking distance to afternoon sunsets on Lake Ponchartrain walkway. What a find in a convenient location near Causeway Blvd and I-10 and nearly every location in Metairie.
I moved into this apartment complex last May and so far have had the worst experience. For starters the hot water never works the way it is supposed to. They have had to fix it at least four times for the whole complex since I moved in. I could boil hot water on the stove quicker than the water in the kitchen sink heats up. The roaches everywhere are disgusting. Parking is always a pain after a certain time. They have a terrible system for holding packages in the main office; especially since they don't hold hours on the weekends. For me I don't think I have ever had such a bad experience in an apartment. All you are really paying for is the location. Stay away!
Moved in about 3 months ago. Leasing agent was very helpful during my move in & is always very friendly. Only issue would be that there isn't any grassy areas for pet. Being that they are pet friendly it would be great if had a designated pet area or @ least offer more grassy areas for them. Other than that I haven't had any issues or see any other problems and have been enjoying my new apartment!!!
I really want to give this apartment negative score but it is not an option. The location is ok but they have the worst service. I lived there for 2 years but I finally moved out because I cannot stand their poor service!!! They placed the smoke alarm just 3 feet above the stove so no cooking after you moved in. I noticed this problem after I signed the lease. Most of the repair request were not done in 24 hours. And they always have the hot water problem. Imagine you wake up in the morning but no hot water to take a shower. The worst part was after I moved out, they not only held my entire deposit but also sent me a bill for more charge !!! When I went to do the walk through with them, the manager was "busy". Later she came back with hundreds of dollars charge about uncleanness. I left the apartment cleaner than I moved in and I had zero damage to the apartment! These are all problems you don't see when you go to sign the lease. They probably play this games for years to eat up tenants' money. DO NOT MOVE TO THIS PLACE!!!

1) the smoke alarms were placed where the fire dept advised us to do ( and we have a clear inspection record) and we have not had any problems where there are. 2) we rarely keep a residents deposit but in this case there was damage beyond normal wear and tear. 3) there is always some one in the office at all times - we do not close for lunch- and anyone can do a walk through with a resident. We work with all of our residents to keep them happy.
Chateaux Dijon is located in the heart of metairie. It's close to the mall and the interstate which is perfect for those who work on the west bank. The tenants here have always been friendly and respectful of other people's property. Pets are allowed here which is fantastic! The maintenance calls are always treated quickly and the front office staff treats you like family. The only con is how hot it gets in the summer (because of the large windows) but that's an easy fix with the proper curtains. I have lived here for three years and every year is better than the last!
So far so good!!! Just moved in quiet complex ...parking is a challenge. But I am working on it .
