Located six miles northeast of downtown El Paso, Normandy Park has access to urban amenities while keeping enough distance to retain its country charm. Low-maintenance plants and landscaping material suitable for life in the desert characterize the quiet streets that wind through the area. Residents marvel at the view of the rugged Franklin Mountains rising tall along the horizon. Flat terrain and low-rise buildings protect the view for everyone to enjoy. Look for apartments and houses for rent across the neighborhood to the northern half or southeast corner of the area.
For shopping, Normandy Park has it covered. At Basset Place, take in an IMAX show, recharge at the food court, and shop the big box stores. On a smaller, homegrown level, get a taste of railroad history with spirits and wings at Track One. Vintage rail cars house this local-favorite restaurant.

Property Ratings at Luna Verde Apartments
My wife and I have had issue stemming from this complex from day one, we had signed 3 different leases for the same apartment because they couldn’t get it right. When we gave them our deposit they left our money order in an unlocked drawer that nobody knew where it was until we went to the office to make sure they had it and help them find it. We’ve had roaches every single day no matter how hard you clean or spray the apartment. Our apartment was neatly flooded due to clogged plumbing, we couldn’t use the sink for days until it was fixed, we’ve had leaks from floors above us that caused mold to grow in the bathroom that they couldn’t get rid of. They’ve had to turn off the water multiple times due to various leaks. The area is prone to blackouts. There have been issues with people breaking into the mailboxes (luckily ours wasn’t hit but it’s pretty obvious they tried). The other tenants let their dogs poo and pee everywhere so you have to dodge it just trying to enter your apartment. The building itself looks as it’s decaying and the stairs feel uneven and dangerous. They will enter your apartment without you there even though you clearly state you don’t want anyone in the apartment without you being there. This complex has given us so much unneeded stress and anxiety about bugs and various other issues that I’d never recommend this place to anyone. I’d consider this place a health hazard to even be around.
Would not recommend to anyone to live here unless you are a fan of roaches because they are all over the place. You can clean everyday of the week and I promise you they will still make their way in. The has been a problem for every that the complex has yet to fix
$250 for a pet “breed restrictions may apply” What they do not tell you is they allow strays! Especially cats! This apartment complex is INFESTED with stray cats That attack people who walk dogs or throw trash thinking they’re gonna harm their kittens. Yes kittens they breed like mad. dirty and unhealthy. Call animal control and send them the bill.
I was in the process of building my house, my realtor recommended Mountain View since they have short leases and furnished apartments available. I rented a one bedroom apartment which was totally furnished, it was spacious and just really nice. The girls at the office were always very nice and even went out of their way to help me move some boxes when I was clearing the apartment. I would definitely recommend Mountain view!
Short term contracts are really inexpensive. Great property, no issues at all. The office ladies are very professional. 5 minute drive to the airport. Great for corporate rentals. Pet friendly community.
Don’t live here! The apartment hallways smell like weed all the time. The maintenance men take forever. I received my apartment with a hole in the ceiling and the stove didn’t work. The buildings are built very cheap I felt like I was going to fall through the floor. Dogs are left outside on the balcony 24/7. My new car I just bought was kicked in by another resident. The office ladies are just money hungry. This place is not worth the headache and anxiety it causes you! DON’T LIVE HERE
I've lived here for a couple of months now and I have somethings to say about mountain view apartments! First off I think my apartment is nice and if at anytime I need anything even if its a light bulb i call and they come and change it! pretty great! Now when i first moved they offered me free wifi and cable with spectrum. Seriously its pretty nice too!! so i think you should come check it out!
Great staff and maintenance crew!! Just moved to a 1 bedroom and I'm very pleased with my apartment.
I just moved to Mountain View Apartments. Since I have been here all the girls in the office have gone above and beyond to make my move easy and fast. I needed a apartment right away and within 2 days I applied and moved in. The apartment is cute and cozy. Thank you Mountain View staff.
I recently moved here and I can say that this aparmtment complex is very nice to live in! The staff they have are great people, the maintence are so polite and have helped the complex with so many things and are usually quick to repair. The ladies in the office are so sweet and have always answered my questions and make sure what i need to be taken care of is and in a timely manner. They are doing updates to apartments and even installed free wifi and cable for us!! they have amenities that arent found in many! they have 2 pools and a water park, not to mention they allow me to have a dog that can play in the dog park and keep me company. The prices are also well and have programs that the others i looked into don't. I dont know the specials now but if i refer someone i get money for it too! i have saved so much money compared to any other place ive rented at. If you are military they have good prices and help you a lot. I would recommend for you to go in and see what deals they have and see what they can do for you!!
I have leaved here for a while now and have been very satisfied with these apartments. The apartments are older but they have been renovating many and updated the hallways and stuff. They just added cable and wifi in the apartments for free and i love it so i can work for home and do what i need to. The new ladies in the office are so helpful and give me great service. The managers are so sweet and always ask how i have been and if i need anything which is so comforting. The maintenance are beautiful as well, they always tend to many things quickly and try there best to do their job correctly. I recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a place to call home and be able to pay rent that is cost friendly.
This apartment complex has improved so much! I love the staff there , very polite! The maintenance is very attentive, may take time but doesn't wait weeks at a time. The apartments are pretty good prices, pretty nice, and have great amenities! They have 2 pools, open late , have a water park area which my kids and even myself enjoy and have a dog park!!! Wide selection of breeds which is awesome. I heard they are getting FREEEEE wifi and cable on Novemeber and cant wait to get it installed. The manager is so attentive and the other girls that work their are so helpful and sweet. I would recommend the apartments to many people!!
Avoid this place if you can! Roaches everywhere...if that isn't enough to keep you away then I don't know what is. They got rid of garbage bins outside so people have to leave their trash bags by the sidewalks which attracts roaches and the smell is horrendous. Management isn't very good and takes FOREVER once you put in a work order for the maintenance people to even come, if they come at all. You definitely get what you pay for.
A couple months ago our fridge went out it took them more than a week for them to come and replace it. They claimed they never got the messages even though we left several. Now our air conditioner went out and have yet to come fix it. This is ridiculous.
I had an unpaid balance that I eventually paid off in late fees. The day after I paid it, I saw a charge online for another $50 for "late fees." I called and asked why I was being charged when I had already paid my balance. They said they would take the charge off, but never gave me a reason for it being there in the first place. I moved out May 11th. I cleaned my apartment top to bottom. They sent me a letter dated May 17th telling me I owed an additional amount that my security deposit didn't cover, even though when I checked my account on the 15th, I actually had a credit of $14. I had torn the carpet from moving a futon so they had to repair it, but then they charged me extra for cleaning the carpets, when I had already done that. They charged me for "cleaning and sanitation" when I had thoroughly cleaned the entire apartment. I asked for an itemized list of everything they were charging me for. The woman I spoke with just said "we have to clean and sanitize the bathroom and whatnot." But if I cleaned the bathroom, why did you have to charge me for it? And why are those costs of cleaning an apartment for the next tenant passed onto me if I cleaned the entire apartment? They give you a list before you move out, telling you the charges if they have to do everything themselves. I made sure I did as much as possible so I wouldn't be billed an outrageous amount later on. Apparently that wasn't enough. I had to argue with the woman about getting a list of what exactly was cleaned and the prices for it. Don't move here if you can help it. They'll invent bogus charges just for funsies. The area isn't bad at all, but management is horrid. Although they do need to do something about allowing tenants to keep their dogs on the patio. And the water is constantly shut off for "repairs." Things are always leaking. And if you need something in you apartment fixed after 5:00 pm, good luck getting anyone out until the next day.
Mountain View Apartments in El Paso, TX is an amazing place to live if you are barely moving away from your parent's house or need a temporary place to live. The rent is great/economical, and they allow a broad range of pets. However, maintenance is VERY slow. You aren't allowed to have ANYTHING on your balcony or they charge you a fee. There is no "pet rent" a month like many other apartment complexes. The walls are thin, so you can hear all of your neighbors' arguments or loud noises. They have a dog park and 3 pools that are all open late. However, the BEST thing about the complex is that they give you 1 month of FREE rent!
I would not recommend these apts unless you are desperate. The roofs leak the common area ceilings leak into the hallway and light fixtures when it rains. The area floods, the storm drain sits clogged since I moved here two yrs ago. Management does not uphold the leasing policy. People drive in off the street to go swimming in the pools for tenants.they hold huge parties at the pool on weekends. People picking through the garbage dumpsters everyday. I have never seen so much animal neglect in my life. Leaving pets on the balcony in the hottest part of the day with no shade, food, water. Feces and urine stench when you walk past. Water is shut off at least once a month for emergency repairs. Rent is raised every year though they don't do anything to make the complex better. The laundry facilities are a joke & don't try to get a soda from the machine, it's always empty or steals your money. On 6 different occasions someone tried getting into our apt not knowing someone was home. Not to mention vehicles being stolen. Car alarms are constantly going off when a plane flies over. I am looking forward to leaving this month!
It was fine and all but they put us on the 4th floor which I hate. You cant even put down a pencil or it will roll away from how lopsided the apartment is. We have lived here for a year in a one bedroom and it is small but a decent price, until the apartment jacks up the price with "electricity". I currently have leaks throughout my apartment which they have not fixed even though I already called twice. I cannot wait to move from here.
