Property Ratings at Lynn Hill
I’ve lived in townhouses and houses and now this apartment. Honestly, it’s exactly what I expected. I live on the bottom floor so I’ll occasionally get a few pests, (like I have the last 8 places I’ve lived) but I just put out sticky boards and it’s okay, also the apartment complex has a pest company come out every now and then to check, so that’s a nice feature. I can hear people walking around upstairs, just like I expected to be honest, and you can hear TVs or people talking loudly in the hallway, however the walls themselves seem fairly thick, so it is very rare for me to hear my neighbors, mostly just the 1 person upstairs. The price was reasonable and the heat/gas/water being covered by the rent was a big plus. I don’t have a washer or dryer in my unit, unlike some other units, however it is directly outside my door on the bottom floor, so it’s not bad, and as I said the walls are fairly thick so even when other people are doing laundry I can’t really hear it. (maybe sometimes if somebody leaves the laundry room door open). Also, I’ve never had a problem with the laundry room overcrowding. I once had to wait for someone to finish, but that was only because I put off doing it myself for so long that I had to do it that night haha My biggest complaint actually isn’t with the apartment as much as it is with the landscaping company that they hired. Every time they come and cut the grass they end up blowing all the dead grass and any trash they find on to my patio. (obviously you won’t have to deal with this issue if you live on the second or third floor) As I said, overall it’s a great place, and I don’t mind dealing with minor issues as long as my rent/utilities are at a good price point. Sidenote, the renovations they’re doing to the buildings look great, and my apartment faces the little park area where they have a playground and some built in charcoal grills, so it’s nice to see and experience a kind of community space.

Lynnhill apartments have been an absolutely wonderful place for me to live. All utilities except for electricity included in rent. Plentiful parking, though no guaranteed spaces. No problems with rodents, been in a 2nd story apartment for over a year now so I think it's safe to say I won't have any. Insects are an issue, but not one that can't be solved if you stay on top of your apartment. Keep your apartment clean and call in/schedule the exterminator every month or so to keep them out. (Keep in mind, calling in the exterminator is also free!) Maintenance has been wonderful and exceptionally helpful. I have had my garbage disposer, bathroom fan/vent, oven light and overhead light fixed. The light in my personal dryer of my washer/dryer in unit combo had the light go out, and while they didn't have that light on hand, they put in an order for it to have it fixed. The military discount to rent is nice as well. Only concerning thing is that the area is prone to having some bandits trying to steal tires or car rims. Recommend to keep your car parked away from the main street or having wheel locks to help prevent this. Haven't had any attempted break-ins to my apartment though thankfully, and even if there were, the doors are exceptionally heavy with metal bolt locks. Needless to say, I do still feel safe at home. Lastly, I want to mention how much of a pleasure it is to work with the management, Andrea and Ryan. They are both exceptionally wonderful people and have always been able to answer any question I've had promptly. I couldn't ask for better service from them. Thank you for the comfortable living accommodations Lynn Hill Apartments! :)

They have very bad mice problems .. complained many time but they can’t get rid from them

I am sorry to hear about this. We very much appreciate the 5-star rating, but I'd like to address the problem you described. If you could contact me at Lynnhill2@marylandmgmt.com, that would be great. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
In the last 5 months I have captured 3 rodents. Everytime I Complain, they sense a pest control, which is a big joke because they don't do much, they just put sticky board behind the stove where the mice probably doesn't even go, so I went to Walmart and got the traps and laid them where it made sense. I have caught 3 until now and I have no idea where they get in from. My apartment is pretty clean. Plus the most frustrating thing is I have to literally beg the leasing office to send someone to discard the caught mouse. It's apparently not an emergency..my dog can't stop barking at it and it creeps me out. I wish I had moved out the minute I saw the first mice.

Dear valued resident, We are so sorry to hear of your most recent experience. After reviewing your maintenance history, our maintenance staff as well as the contracted extermination company, listened and took our suggestions into consideration. Maintenance diligently sealed and patched any areas of concern or suggested concern. A notice should have already been received regarding an upcoming scheduled appointment in your home. Please be sure to secure your pet,as we will not be able to enter the home to treat, if the are not. Thank you for expressing your concerns as well as residency at Lynn Hill. We truly look forward to working together in the New Year.
Moved here a few months ago in November to a second floor apartment (there are three floors in each building). This could really be a great place to live. Unfortunately, the building is old, the floors/ceilings are very thin, and the floors squeak TERRIBLY. I can hear EVERY step that my upstairs neighbor makes. Walks to the kitchen? I can hear it. Dog upstairs barks/runs across the room? I can hear it. Yell? I can hear it. I've been awaken out of my sleep due to the floor squeaking and dog downstairs barking. It's the most annoying thing ever...so annoying that I would never renew my lease here hence the poor rating. On the other hand, parking is open so that's good; updates are nice; maintenance requests are fulfilled quickly; and gas/heat/water is included in the rent.

Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. Please understand when living in a multi-family dwelling, noises are expected to be heard by neighboring apartments. We were made aware of your concerns and had maintenance inspect. We followed up with you shortly after your original ticket was entered and investigated. You stated everything was going well. Please understand, it is important that you communicate your concerns to your leasing office as they are your first point of contact. Your review has been forward to the office. Please contact them directly or at Lynnhill2@marylandmgmt.com so we may help alleviate your concern. Thank you again for your review
I'm going to make this short and sweet. First my apartment smells like constant smoke because my neighbors smoke below me and it comes into my apartment through the vents, management can't do anything about it. I have found over $1,000 worth of belongings missing, wonder who's coming into my apartment when I'm not home? Oh and the drugs and alcohol around the apartments is so awesome. Not worth the money, find a place you won't get robbed at.
U not get what you paying high rent less facilatlys
Good basic apartment complex. No frills but the apartments are a good size. The office and maintenance staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice balcony area for each apartment as well.
