This place is way overpriced for what you are getting. There is a huge bug problem- specifically lots of house centipedes. there were roaches everywhere and the bathroom toilet keeps clogging no matter how many times the tech comes out to fix. Horrible experience overall. Don't waste your time.

Moving out was horrible, we left due to bugs, cockroaches primarily. The exterminator said that no activity was found. However, we found dead cockroaches under the couch, cabinets, holes in our food bags like rice and pasta. which were double sealed with ziplocks.

Avoid Lynnewood Gardens if you can. Cars get broken into very often here because security sucks, rent is ridiculous. There’s barely ever parking in my lot (half the cars there don’t belong to residents). Maintenance team is good but there is much that Lynnewood offers. Located in Cheltenham which is the hood

Loved it here. things get quick quickly. very quiet, well kept. apartments aren’t bad for the price. definitely worth it.

I like that I was able to view my actual apartment that I would be getting as opposed to a model unit. Overall the community is alright. There are a lot of residents. I heard there are a few thousand residents so the community is really big. They have monthly events and a center near the leasing office where the events are held. Also a fitness room, game room, dog park, and basketball court. I haven’t had much problems with my apartment. No roaches or mice, and I’ve been here for over 7 months now. The walls are thin, but my neighbors are respectful and quiet so I haven’t had any issues with that. Beware, this community isn’t in the safest side of Elkins Park and borders North Philly. I would try to park on the street if you can as opposed to in the back parking lots as people have been breaking into and stealing cars up here. The back lots have no cameras and are pitch black at night. No lights at all. If you drive a Kia or Hyundai beware…. Besides the recent car break ins, I’ve had a good experience.

I moved to Lynnewood Gardens six years ago after downsizing from a much larger home in the city. My plan was to settle here briefly, while looking for a smaller home to buy. Well, six years later, I'm still here and enjoying the luxury of having someone else manage all of the maintenance issues and other annoying aspects of owning a home. I've found the complex to be well maintained, safe and comfortable. All of the staff that I've had contact with were professional and accommodating. I love it here. I enjoy the gatherings and fun activities. I love my neighbors and the convenience to shopping and transportation.Its a nice place to live.

I recently moved from NYC and thought this would be an ideal place to rent until I can purchase house but its an eye opener. When you schedule a viewing they show you the really nice apartments that sole purpose is just for viewing. When you get your apartment your expecting the same or something similar total opposite. The apartments come with an electric old stove with short circuit, small kitchen & bathroom. Roach infestation all over and we paying for the health club even if you don't go. The laundry on site is another issue machine always broken WITH REPAIRS TAKING FOREVER. For the price they're charging they need to do better. Been living here 6 months I regret ever moving here. My lease expires soon counting the days

I’ve been living here since June my first apartment I honestly can say I love it. Rent is a little too high I feel like but other wise it’s a good place a lot of things are close. Also anytime I need maintenance they come ASAP !! It’s quiet you would think because this is such a big community you would most likely see alot of people all the time but nope barely

Having toured the entire area, love what I saw, the proximity to stores, very quiet clean, environment, even easy access to public transportation. Overall, is a good place to live. Finally found a place I can call home with my dog! Lovely people. Nice rooms and kitchen. The whole experience was really good except they didn't have an apartment where I could have my dog at first, but they kept looking and finally found it. Thanks to Aprille for all of her patience with me.

My stay here at Lynnewood Gardens has been nothing but the best thus far. I have nothing but good things to stay. Anytime I call them get the problem resolved. I have wonderful neighbors that are very pleasant and caring. My account rep has been nothing but helpful and understanding. I plan to stay as long as I can god willing. Lynnewood gardens is WOW! I been here for almost 5 years and I love everything about it, I actually have nothing negative to say. if you are looking for an almost everything inclusive living environment, come on down and be a neighbor.

I'm about to move in soon and before i move in i had to check what has to be fixed or replaced. So I Request couple of things that i didnt really like and with in 24 hours, the problems got solved. i didnt met all the staffs yet but who ever i met so far they treat it me and my wife very comfortable. special thanks to Brianna and Angie from Leasing office Jen from Maintenance Center thank you for your love and supports.

I’ve lived in Lynnewood Gardens for over 16 years for the school district.The apartment itself leads a lot to be desired as far as space and amenities are concerned,but the community and neighbors are great! It’s a very kid friendly complex where your kids can be safe while outside playing. I’ve recently had the pleasure to deal with a staff named Adina.She’s understanding and kind,and treats you not just as another resident,but as a person. They found a gem!

Great place to live with your family. Beautiful landscape and staff is very helpful especially Adina.

All those good reviews .the rent goes up 40 dollars each year. I am on a “waiting list for a townhouse “no straight answer when one will be available “website shows one available.Pool membership increased,when I signed my renewal price was on it,was told they don’t know about that.Now I’m dealing with a barking dog.In 3 years I had one year of peace And quiet.

I enjoy Lynnewood Gardens. Mainly because of staff members like Dottie and "Renee" I believe - she works in Resident Services at Front Desk. They have an amazing staff and they keep the property very tidy with lawn care coverage, etc!!! I know that if I ever run into any issues, I can run to Dottie and she will help direct me. LG also throws great events!!!

I lived in Lynnewood for 8 years prior to moving in 2016 to what I thought was a “better” apartment community. Sometimes people get distracted with the flashy amenities of a new community, and not knowing they use these amenities as compensation for things like the inconvenient location. Just to realize the distance from where a person lives to where their daily destinations are should play a big part in deciding on where to live. I lived at my new community for two years before I made the decision to move back to Lynnewood. All the glitz and glamor of the chandeliers and bright lights didn’t compare to the greenery, the manicured lawns, the friendly neighbors, and the residential services that are offered at Lynnewood. Another deciding factor was management. Management is a vital part of the apartment-living experience. When there was something to be fixed or any issues to be address, the apartment management team was always ready to assist. I’ve been at Lynnewood for a year now. Soon I’m transitioning to a larger apartment. Looking forward to many more years at Lynnewood. T.B.

I have been living in lynnewood gardens for the pass year and I have nothing but great experience. Everyone is extremely friendly and it’s so quiet. My favorite person is Ms. Adina she has been extremely helpful and very understanding. She definitely makes lynnewood a wonderful place

When I move out, it will be because of the parking policy. The company (Pat's) that is contracted to tow cars is very difficult and disrespectful. They are hard to reach DURING their business hours, give misinformation, and purposely do not answer their phone at times. This causes me to miss work all because of an oversight. In four years, I have consistently paid my rent on time. I should not have to be hassled like this. I don't know anyone else who has to worry about their car being towed and struggling to get it back at their place of residence!! It happens to residents too often.

The administration staff were amazing amidst so much going on. Although the complex is very large residents like myself are made a priority. That's huge! In my chain of command I cannot wait to report such gratitude to Lynewood Gardens doing this time.

The process of getting a apartment was so easy and great Chris was the best person ever to work with and he took his time to make sure the process was smooth and easy he really is great and I would 100% recommend him to anyone. Chris answered EVERY SINGLE QUESTION with honest and realistic answers I would say go for it if your are trying to move there they have so much to offer.

I have been a resident of Lynnewood Gardens for the past year and a half. During this period I have had an opportunity to interact with staff, Joanne, Dottie and Angie on several occasions. They are both professional and engaging. They are pleasant, upbeat and have successfully assisted me with any questions, concerns or minor issues. In addition, I have attended many of the clubhouse functions, where Dottie, Joanne and Angie are actively involved in making sure that all tenants are participating and having a good time.

Moved to the area a couple months ago and needed a place fast. We worked with Chris and we moved in the next day so, that is pretty quick . The place is so huge with so many units that the even if they only have 1% availability you may have almost 20 units to choose from. With a large place, they do a pretty good job of keeping everything neat. The setting is park-like with big well manicured lawns with big open spaces and large shade trees . They also have the rent setup with the local electric company so that it is integrated into the rent where you don't have to go and create an account separately. They get the electric bill straight from the electric company and you pay it when you pay your rent. The laundry facility is probably the newest I have ever used or seen. New machines and regular maintenance. They use electronic cards for machine payment and give you a card on move in with 5$ loaded on it. The clubhouse, fitness room and laundry center all use biometric that only allows authorized users access within specific times. Parking is unassigned with parking lots, street, and garages. You get a parking sticker letting you park where allowed. The garage parking is fee based per month with individual locking garages.The rest of the parking is first come first serve. The residents are pretty friendly and usually say" hello" when passing in the neighborhood or in any of the common areas. The entire facility is so large that it is not gated. There is a private security presence onsite and the local police department also patrols the streets. The unit I have is an updated one bedroom. I paid a little extra for the "updates" which are mainly new appliances such as a dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven and refrigerator and my floors are hardwood. There are regular community activities that the administration puts on. The whole place is very well run and maintained.

Had a great experience with Lynnewood Gardens Apartments! We just moved here from KY and needed an apartment very quickly. They got us an appointment quick and we moved in 2 days later! Chris and Angie were great and very helpful! We are very happy with where we live and love the area.

I moved in bout few weeks ago and My experience here at Lynnewood Gardens has been great from the application process to move in day. I have access to pool, gym and laundry facility so all plus for me..The staff is very pleasant and always helpful the grounds are kept very clean and neat..It very peaceful and quiet where I am which is good cause I work at night and need rest during day.. Monica over at the Resident Center is always pleasant and welcoming no matter how many times I have questions lol I made a good choice moving here and look forward to enjoying my new space here at Lynnewood Gardens

I'm honestly shocked that some of these reviews are so good. The area is crap, there are giant cockroaches in all of the apartments, and some tenants had mice. I understand that pests exist and get into apartments but, in my experience, management did not handle it very well. I had bed bugs coming in from a neighboring apartment, but when I told/showed management, they were in denial. I caught a bed bugs to show them and they told me they were baby cockroaches and did nothing about it. I was forced to deal with this issue on my own. It took a long time to get rid of the bed bugs and I'm scarred for life.

Having lived here for 3 years I can tell you do yourself a favor and stay away. Seriously...unless you like thin walls and giant palmetto cockroaches. I moved into a two bedroom here not knowing the area as I moved in from another state. At first everything seemed fine until I realized I could hear all my neighbor's conversations clearly. But okay it was what it was and I could deal with that. And then the giant flying roaches started appearing. Mind you I don't cook and eat out often so there was never any food in my kitchen. They would send in pest control and leave boxes intended for mice and another method as well. Their methods never worked because the roaches would just keep appearing. Imagine taking a shower and having one jump on you, or opening your kitchen cupboard and seeing one crawling all over your cups! So disgusting. And they're not even normal sized cockroaches - they're huge!!! Think two inches...or google Palmetto roaches and see for yourself. Twice while I was living there they barricaded off a portion of the neighborhood due to some sort of criminal/police activity going on. The positive would be that the people that work in the office and maintenance really are nice and professional. But that seriously goes out the window when neighbors upstairs are having a party on a sunday night and you're trying to sleep or there are centipedes coming out the woodwork. Or when you go to use their laundromat and they're machines constantly stop midcycle and you show up to pick up your laundry only to realize you're stuff is soaking wet. Oh and to top it all off they kept a portion of my security deposit for "cleaning" purposes - the stove, dishwhasher and the bathtub. Which is hilarious since I left them spotless since I never used them! The tub was clean but it no longer looked brand new since it's called normal wear and tear after living there for 3 years. By the way they paint their refrigerators white as well as the bathroom tiles and tub...this is what makes everything look brand new. It's not until you move in and notice that it's not new it's just painted over. Then when it fades after living there for years it looks worn...be ware of a portion of your security deposit being kept to "clean" it!

The grounds are nice and the upgraded apartments look nice as well. It's pleasant when you first move in after that the honeymoon phase is over. Depending on where you are in the complex, you can have a nice or mediocre apartment. The nicer apartments are near the leasing office/club house of course. The parking is absolutely horrible, so good luck finding parking after 7pm. Grounds work starts at 7am daily so there is no such thing as sleeping in, sucks for people who work night shift. Its a fairly grassy area with lots of tree so the mice and bugs are rampant--expect a few roommates. Maintenance always come the next day, even if its a crappy job. Extermination request are completed within a week, but often just baseboard spray and messy traps. The laundry facility is a complete joke, only about 30% of the machines work at any given time. All amenties features like the gym, pool, clubhouse, etc are additional fees. Closet space is scarce as if the free hot water in the winter. My floors aren't leveled so things slide off my tables all the time. Mather Way is really quiet. You'd only pay electric and cable. For the price, it's awesome but your get what you pay for in size, charged amenities and unwanted roommates crawling on your things.

There is no security. You would think this community would invest in cameras at the least and/or put a wall/fence up to help bring down the crime but they refuse. When I first moved in about 5 yrs ago there used to be at least a security car that drove around. If there is one now I would never know because I never see anyone. Ive heard of burglary after burglary here. Ive heard of a tenant actually trying to break in another lynnewood residents home, hit and runs, car break ins and more. The only thing that I have been satisfied with is with the maintenance department. They respond very quickly and are always helpful and friendly. The leasing agent on the other hand is rude, ignorant and disrespectful. When I told her about the crime her response was, "crime happens everywhere." Ive lived in all different types of areas and crime never happened to me. Lynnewood Gardens needs to invest in security and also monitor cars that are illegally parked. The units are smaller than what Im used to. Closet space is the worst. I moved here like most people like me for the school district but now I dont need the schools anymore. My lease will not be renewed. I honestly think if the leasing manager wasnt so rude I would stay but she is just the worse and I hate the fact I have to deal with her.

I would like to give a huge thanks to Lynnewood Gardens for their professionalism and compassion. I have leased my property for over five years now and am very happy with the management staff and maintenance services that I have received. My children are thriving in the Cheltenham Township school district and I couldn’t be happier!!!! Thanks for everything!!!!

My daughter and I moved to  Lynnewood Gardens since December 2014 and we both love living here!  We viewed several different types of apartments and complexes before deciding on LG after visiting three times. The Leasing Office staff were great during the entire process.  Everything that they shared was true and aboveboard, which is nice--no switch and bait to the process whatsoever!   I believe that I've had two recent maintenance calls both of which were handled quickly and professionally! It has been my experience here at LG that maintenance is very well managed for which I am extremely grateful.  A few months ago, I had a plumbing emergency at 12:00AM and the emergency attendant had someone at my door by 12:16! Amazing response time!   I originally moved here with the expectation that I'd only be here a year. The professional management of this complex has won me over and I've just signed to go into my third year! I love the well maintained grounds, the beautiful clubhouse and conveniently local shopping. Once I got used to the shuttle schedule, I actually stopped looking for a car because its  more convenient to use that service and to rent a car intermittently as needed for other errands! My only lament is that there's no onsite storage options, there fore, I'm forced to maintain a small unit to store seasonal items.   The Clubhouse is awesome and the various gatherings have been so much fun that I'm always disappointed when I miss one! Dont be fooled by the pictures/ the way they advertise. My apartment started to wear and tear within the first two months of me being there. The shower tile started pealing off my window tile started to peal off. I can go on and on.

The leasing staff is horrible and especially Chris. They are rude, nasty and not very helpful. The utility bills are through the roof. The rent is high and the other tenants are noisy. The parking is awful and apartments have mice and bugs. The leasing staff did not want to do anything.

Been living here for 10 1/2 years and the people and area are fine. Maintenance office is horrible and unprofessional. I really believe management doesn't know. They were reluctant to replace my carpet after I signed my 10 year lease in December. And it's now August and I'm still fighting for new linoleum in my kitchen and bath. After 10 years it shouldn't be a question. Trust me it's only a $20 sheet of linoleum not fancy tile like on the website. There's a leak in the second bedroom that was supposed to be fixed months ago. They said it was fixed two separate times and painted the damaged area twice. The last time there were brown water marks in the paint 4 hours after it was done. Basically if you've been here a long time you feel like you are just a rent check. I just can't believe the owners know that water damage in walls is being left unrepaired. It's their investment being destroyed by lazy and unprofessional maintenance people. I'd be happy if I could live in the clubhouse because that's in great condition. There is a definite difference in the upkeep depending on where you live in the complex.

We have been living here for a little over a year and everything has been good except for some cosmetic issues. Whoever painted the apartment before us must have been drunk because there is spots of paint on the hardwood floor as well as drips of paint on the walls and doors. The molding is coming apart and the radiators are falling apart as well and look terrible. Also the hardwood floors have spaces in between the boards where crumbs and dirt collect. They're beautiful floors but the cracks are a pain to clean. Also, our ceiling in the bathroom leaked and was fixed and covered with drywall but it's now a huge lump on the ceiling that is ugly. Also, the oven and dishwasher are very cheap. The countertop in the kitchen is excellent but the cabinets not so much. It's a great price and community (even though there is crime and cops constantly in the neighborhood), but I just wish they'd fix the cosmetic issues. I appreciate the landscapers and maintenance as well as the leasing office and new club house.

Moved in a few months ago (close to a year) and I am happy. Snow removal was rough but it was a HUGE storm. Maintenance is quick to come out and I have had no issues with management. I like the gym and club house, I am planning on joining it soon. I hear they have a trainer according to one of my neighbors, and he is supposedly good. This is close to my work in Ft. Washington and traffic is usually not bad unless there is an accident on 309. Moving in was okay but the parking was hard for the moving truck, good thing I had a bunch of people to help me move. Overall I would say it is a good value for your money, I like the original wood floors (it is an older community).

Looking in from the outside, Lynnewood Gardens seems to be an excellent place to live. Great location and landscaping and very uniformed units. When I viewed the 2br model apartment, it was perfect. I was immediately sold. I asked was the unit I would be moving into be an exact replica... well, of course I was told yes, with the exception of the flooring. When I received my keys and toured my unit, it was very similar to the model unit. I was ecstatic until I noticed how badly painted it was. The paint job looks as if a lazy amateur completed the job. There were indentations in the walls and doors. The bathroom....., the bathroom tile and tub seemed to be painted over with regular paint. I was told later that they spray the tub and tile with a paint specifically used to make the bathroom look new again. So, if you're looking for a place to live Lynnewood Gardens isn't bad for the price and they offer plenty amenities. The best being the clubhouse and fitness center. However, I would recommend renting an updated unit, which are practically brand new everything. They're a little more costly, but it's worth it.

It is on the cheaper side but Lynnwood is good for the value. We had some issues when moving in from keys not being ready to bugs in our apartment. The staff was very helpful and quick with correcting the issues.

This apartment complex provides above average living space. It is conveniently located to public transportation, shopping areas and highway access. The area school district is also good. Nice landscaping, playgrounds for kids and pool. There is a new gym opening soon, which is also a plus. For me, the downside to these apartments is the lack of a washer and dryer in the unit. They do provide a laundry facility but this can often mean spending time waiting on laundry, time that could be better utilized elsewhere.. I would recommend considering this apartment complex as a family dwelling.

Lynnewood Gardens Apartments are a perfect fit for anyone who enjoys a quiet, natural setting which is close to various shops and restaurants that are accessible by walking and the various modes of public transportation in the area. The buildings feature various floor plans to accommodate families of any sizes. My particular unit is a 2 bedroom, one bathroom with an abundance of natural light and living space. The rent is very affordable for the location, amenities and the amount of square footage that is available. Additionally, Lynnewood Gardens offers a variety of amenities that range from clean and efficient laundry facilities to a brand new, beautiful club house where residents may go to play pool, work out in the modern Fitness Center, and utilize the business center for conference, and administrative needs. The community features a pool, tennis and basketball courts, along with endless tree lined courtyards that are all connected with a walkway which is perfect for a relaxing walk through a natural setting. Oh, and did I mention that center city Philadelphia is only a 20 minute drive away!

The setting is very peaceful. Property is well maintained and very family oriented.

This is my first apartment and I love it. It's quiet, beautiful neighborhood and close to everything. Been here for 9 years already and still going strong. I have had no problems or issues with anything or anyone. We are getting a fitness center and I can't wait.
