Property Ratings at Lyric on Bell
First off I got approved and had a move in date. Was told prior to the move in that the apt was to have a washer and dryer and in the 1st floor…well, that wasn’t true…neither one. A few days before, a washer and dryer was moved into the unit…I didn’t sign lease yet because I wanted to have a walk through prior..so day of move in, I did wa walk through…IM SO GLAD I DID!! The apartment was NASTY…a box of trash was outside my door where the office never removed it, walk in and it smelled like DEATH…the toilet had urine all caked up around the bottom of it, tub had rust around it, mildew was all on closed door, no fresh paint in walls, floor boards had dead bugs and spider webs on them, corners had caked up black dirt, ceilings had spider webs hanging from them and windows had dust, bugs and caked up dust on them…IT WAS NASTY…I almost vomited it was so nast (apt 813)…so I complained and he took me to see 218…LORD HAVE MERCY…walking to the building had dog poop in the grass, walking to the apt, trash was all in the walk ways, trash bags EVEYWHRER…get to the apt and it smelled old…was not cleaned and had not been prepped for show…I was furious and embarrassed for them because it was nasty…I’ve heard nothing but good until I walked through…I was upset all weekend after this and now I’m out a promise to make sure everything is good and an apt…they should have at least scheduled a clean before they had someone move in..very disappointing

We would first off like to apologize for your experience on your tour of our community. After reading your review, we did a thorough analysis of every aspect that contributed to you not having a good experience. We do take pride in showing our apartments that are move-in ready, and we sincerely apologize for showing you apartments that were very recently vacated and had not been cleaned and updated. Secondly, we do have a groundskeeper who does an excellent job maintaining our community and making sure our residents have a place they can proudly call home. We are sorry to hear that there were pet droppings on your tour route. We are taking corrective actions to prioritize that these types of incidents do not happen moving forward. Thank you for your candor and we hope that you will allow us to show you all the reasons that Lyric on Bell is a place our residents are proud to call a home. We hope you have a great day!
If I could give zero stars I would. This place is unsafe, none-functioning, and is ran by an office on incompetent kids with horrible attitudes. I moved here just over a year ago and it has been nothing short of a miserable dump to live in since then. Broken dishwasher, blown a/c, smoke coming from sockets, daily drug deals (pothead neighbors), dog owners that don't pick up after their dogs, and of course the roommates I never wanted: I woke up one morning to find an opossum in my living room, it had chewed through the drywall ceiling leaving a hole in my ceiling that took 3 days to get patched with tarp, it took a total of 5 days before anyone actually closed the hole. The opossum problem worsened over the period of two months, I heard them above me while I slept, scratching at the repaired hole, I watched them chase after cats in the parking lot at night. I'm trapped in this hell as I fight with the office to break my lease, I beg you, do not move to this place.
I would not recommend this community to anyone, especially single women and families. The amount of crime is exorbant. There are drug dealers in every building, car jackings every night, and police are on property arresting or searching for someone almost every night. In the surrounding areas, there are murders and shootings every night. As someone who's lived in Antioch for 10 years, I wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy. Besides the crime, the apartments are maintenanced horribly. The apartments look vastly different from the pictures online when you move in and they didn't even screw in the screws all the way for my fixtures so I had things falling out of the wall left and right when I moved in. They have tons of bug and pest issues despite how clean you are (a squirrel even dug holes thru my wall causing a lot of damage). The 24 hour maintenance is a lie because in the summer it was over 100 degrees in my apartment for 3 days straight over a holiday weekend, yet they said it was a "liability" to come out so I had to wait it out until their business hours. Despite the community wide issues, the office spends their time trying to sue residents for looking for a roommate. They will make things up to try and sue you for "lease violations", even when you pay your rent on time and are a nice quiet tenant. Ridiculous customer service and attitudes from staff like you're at a Walmart, spend your money elsewhere and save yourself the stress. Not worth it.
My husband and I currently live here and they are terrible. Number one, they don't fix anything and number 2, we found a purple striped key when we came home once so someone had been in there without our permission. Also, thy told us we had to pay $2,000 because we didn't give a 60 day notice as well for us leaving and they told another apartment complex to not approve us.

Moved in a year ago, now I'm being forced to move out so they can "update" my unit. Normally the complex will wait until you decide to move to "update" a unit. I was told I would have to pay $500 transfer fee to move to another unit plus an application fee and a new deposit as well as the new price as if I am a new tenant which is 300 more than what I'm currently paying. Maintenance is terrible my smoke detector doesn't work & hasn't been working. Never in the year have they sprayed for bugs & it's too many trees around not to treat the buildings. This community is definitely not worth the asking price since all they have done is put in black appliances and painted the siding blue.
Not worth the increase in rent. New management not responsive. Repairs listed on move in still not fixed nearly a year later after many requests. Mostly it's the poor management - they don't care about the tenants- just the money. Seriously-LOOK ELSWHERE!
These apartments are nice and affordable but the management is horrendous. They took over three weeks to fix a heat issue with my apartment, and they also NEVER call back. I had to call almost everyday when I had an issue and even then they would promise and call back and never follow through. I had to physically sit in their office to wait for the management to get anything done. Not worth it even for its price and convenience to Nashville.

I recenly move in to this complex and I plesently surprised. Moving in I expected not to be the best place as i am paying almost 200.00 less than other apartments in the area it fit my butget and i went in with not to high of an expectation. From time that I applied to the time i moved in there been thing fix. When i went in to apply i was told that there new management company. They repaved the ashphalt, instald new mailboxes and are now starting to fix the exterior to the appartment complex. I am also looking forward to the new gym hope it does not take to long to put in. At moving in the process was easy the apartment was clean over all I got new carper and new floors in the kitchen hall way and bath room. I was plesently surprised, I like that it es mosetly quiet some time i can head kids runnning in the breasway but i guess that come with appartment living. I have only been livng here for 2 weeks but as of now i am happy.
For the amount of these apartments it's very affordable, but the process and them checking every address on your credit is ridiculous when there are other apartments that's way more expensive that do not put you through the hassle to get approved. In my opinion, they are not willing to work with you on certain issues that can be cleared. It's more so based off their judgement which showed me to not ever apply there again.
