Urban Center Irving is a small commercial district offering plenty of options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Lake Carolyn rest in the middle of the area, anchoring the neighborhood. Urban Center has a variety of lakeside eateries, retail stores, and apartments offering gorgeous views.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I was hesitant to post this review until after we moved out because I didn’t want to burn bridges but after our experience tonight, we want to give warning. Signing a lease and moving in was a nightmare. We were a little bit rushed to move in but the office had no communication with us at all. We went on vacation right before we had to move out of our prior apartment and we called twice a day trying to hear back about our application. The office claims they called us back but there were no missed calls the whole week. Finally we got an email that our apartment was about to be released and continued to call until they answered. It’s clear our apartment has water damage but nothing was told to us prior to moving in. We don’t have a ceiling fan (we assume because of said damage) and we don’t want to pay for one just to leave behind when we move out. Bummer but whatever, not the hill we care to die on. There was also no hole for the dryer vent, no window rods to open windows and multiple doors that didn’t open or close. We were told the apartments across the street would be finished by Oct, but they weren't finished until the week we moved out. We lost our view of the lake but they still had the audacity to raise our rent 25%. Today, our A/C went out for the THIRD TIME since we moved in ONE MONTH AGO. Seriously?? Tonight we submitted an emergency maintenance request to get it fixed around 10 p.m. and every time we called for an update, they were vague and “couldn’t give an ETA.” So now, almost three hours later, we have to leave to get a hotel because our apartment is almost 90 degrees. For the third time in one month. Pretty annoying to lose money on a hotel because of inadequate maintenance. If you’re looking for an apartment with quick maintenance and good communication, this is not the place. They rarely have people in the office to help and they always act busy with other people like they only have a couple of seconds to help you. I can count on one hand the number of times they answer our phone calls and the A/C situation is just absurd. The pool is closed for weeks on end during peak season and the gym is consistently over 75 degrees. The trash is ALWAYS piled up because they refuse to tow the car that illegally blocks it (instead, they send emails asking residents to keep their trash in their apartment).

Spent 4 years here and saw a lot of staff turnover. Current management is nice.Place is great for singles and plenty of night life around. +ve Great location and bigger floor plans for the price. -ve Elevators frequently break down. Trash is always overflowing. Pool regularly abused by non residents. Not enough Parking spaces and frequent dings on cars. Breezeways are not cleaned often. More upgrades are needed to compete with others newer communities. Suitable for anyone on a budget and wants to live in the Lake Carolyn area.

I have never left an online review anywhere in my life before, but feel inclined to warn others of my experience here. We were sent a virtual tour of an apartment and upon move in we’re told our unit was entirely different unit than what they had sent us. There was construction going on near the corner of our unit. Mgmt said this would wrap up in two weeks, however, the construction lasted for the first 6 months of our lease. Meanwhile we had a plethora of other minor repairs to deal with through the lease term. Our shower tile was moldy and had to be repaired on two separate occasions. The water pressure in our shower continuously leaked driving our water bill up. At first they said they couldn’t fix, then 3 months later they did fix it. Next we dealt with a major flood in our apartment due to the winter storm. We were forced to leave our apartment for almost 3 weeks while construction and restoration teams worked. We had to pay full rent during this time AND paid over $300 in utilities to power all the electricity the restoration teams were using in the apartment. No rent relief was provided, and this work continued for two months to restore our unit completely. It has now been 8 months we have lived here under constant construction in or around our unit. Then the apartment decided to do maintenance on the fire sprinklers. Holes of dry wall were cut from our walls to check for leaks. As I write this review today the holes the maintenance team made have still not been patched. During this time a second leak was caused (this time not due to weather) and flooded our bedroom. More fans in our unit and another high electric bill was in store for us. While we are dealing with our second major flood in just a few months, the apartment Mgmt accidentally issued out our parking spot to another resident, so our car was wrongfully towed and we had to pay that expense out of pocket. Our AC broke and we lived the heat for two days before they were able to repair. We have paid full rent since we have been here, and when our lease was ending MAA Mgmt not only provided zero relief for this horrible experience, but said our rent would raise over $200 a month if we stayed. This area is beautiful and has so many apartments to choose from. I am baffled by Bella Casita price point for the worn down complex they offer. If you enjoy construction, this place is for you! If not, I would advise any other apartment complex in las Colinas before I recommend this property.

Yes, Texas has ants but this place is infested. You will see ants coming out of the shower head, kitchen sink and bathroom sink. The pest control puts "traps" but these are useless and they tell you not to kill the ants! In the morning you wake up with a tooth brush full of ants. Also beware because you will be taking these insects with you to other places, because the ants love to hide inside your cellphone and laptop. The leasing office will blame it on your apartment not being spotless and just keep sending useless pest control measures.

The complex has one non-centrally located trash chute that at least twice a week will get so full that residents would have to pile their trash around the chute which would smell terrible, I felt terrible for the residents that lived next to it. There were several cars broken into and even stolen during our stay luckily none of ours but we weren’t home much so that could be why. Residents do not pick up their dogs poop around the complex and let their dogs walk without a leash. I don’t want random dogs running up to me when I’m just trying to go home. Service requests would take days and multiple times to fix something. The office staff never looked helpful and we had multiple packages that “never came” even though it was confirmed “delivered at front office”. Please don’t stay here, there are plenty of apartments just down the street for the same price or less that are WELL worth it.

Darren is a poor agent. Unwilling to help. Police are always here and there are constant break in or security issues. Trash is paid for and never maintained. With all the competition, your dollar can be properly spent nearby. Corporate please reach out

breezeways are always filthy with trash, lint, dust, dirt, spider webs. The cheapest apts on lake Carolyn so very attractive to rift raft to come and live, all those who were rejected at nicer communities
Like the title suggested, it's just ok. I feel like for what you pay it should be better. The location is great. If you commute, DART is literally a two second walk. The pool is very nice and that area is kept clean. On the weekends there are always about four different types of music being blasted by different groups of people, so that can get annoying. I've also seen, quite a few times, people bringing food in the pool along with glass bottles. Which just is people being stupid. If one of those breaks, it is a serious problem. Parking can get tight on the weekends or late at night. There doesn't seem to be anything enforcing non-residents taking up parking spots. So if someone is having a pool party, expect to not find parking. Seems there are always a lot of people that are not residents at the pool. The gym is nice and clean. They just opened a virtual workout room so that is also pretty nice. The apartment themselves are a good size, nice appliances. Large bathrooms. Felt the carpet should of been replaced when I moved in since I know the people before me were there for at least five years. Felt it also could of been cleaned better before I moved in. Another downside is I can hear the people above me constantly. Even if they are just walking around, it echoes. There is a new apartment complex being built right next store so if you are living on that side of the building be prepared to be woken up every morning at 7am. Even on Sat. No fault to Bella Casita for that, but that is what is happening right now. It's quite horrible. The staff seems very nice. I haven't had too much interaction with them so not much to say there. Things they can really work on is keeping the breezeways clean. The amount of spiders/bugs and spiderwebs (even cocoons of who knows what) covering everything is disgusting. Throughout the stairwells as well. Until the staff starts towing cars or fining people for doing stupid stuff, nothing will change. Again, it's not an awful place to live, but it's not great either. I will not renew just because there are so many other complexes in the area that are newer and nicer for just a little bit more.
This was our first apartment together. We stayed in the 850 sqft 1BR/1BA unit facing the interior of the parking lot. The staff is very helpful and overall courteous to the tenant's needs and issues. When we moved in, the construction on the apartment next door started and so began the early morning construction that woke us up at 6am on the dot. That's not on any fault of our apartment, just bad timing. However what's somewhat irritating is the lack of sound insulation the windows in our unit seem to have. It's as if we didn't have any windows/wall there to block the noise. Coupled with the fact that for some reason, the birds here seem to want to chirp at nighttime during the fall-winter-spring seasons makes for a very, very annoying sleep. The parking isn't that great to be honest. We had the "Open" garage parking when we moved in, which became non-existent as more and more "Open" slots became "Reserved". So essentially towards the end of our lease, we were paying $50 a month for 2 "Open" slots which were almost always taken by someone else. But I doubt they're doing that anymore for future tenants. Overall, small issues aside, this wasn't such a bad place for a first apartment.
