Property Ratings at MAA Bellevue
If you love hearing horrendously loud trains after midnight, you should totally live here. I lived at this apartment for a year and due to the these train noises that always come around at 2-3 am, I couldn’t sleep EVEN ONE night without getting woken up! And mind you, MAA apartment managers will not warn nor mention anything about it to you. My families immune system got ruined in one year because our sleep kept getting disrupted! So if you value uninterrupted sleep, I wouldn’t recommend moving here. Just avoid this spot!

This is the second MAA community I’ve lived in and it’s the best community in Nashville to live in! Aside from the convenient location, the management, staff and maintenance are all great, helpful responsive and kind. Highly recommend

I absolutely love living here. I have been here for almost two years and I feel so grateful to live in such a lovely neighborhood. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The neighborhood is peaceful, and my apartment is everything I wanted. I had the pleasure of working with Barbara when signing my lease. She listened to what I wanted and picked me out the PERFECT apartment. Since then she has treated me like family. She is always there to help with a smile on her face. I feel so comfortable and at home here.

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to Barbara here at Colonial Grand at Bellevue! We can't wait to see you again, have a great day.
I’ve been living at Colonial Grand for more than a year now, and ever since my first day of moving in, it has been a “grand” experience indeed! The neighbors are friendly, the environment is beautiful and serene, a great place for a family and pets included. The staff in the leasing office are, by far, the best in the business. Barbara has been working with me and my roommate from the very first day. She makes it her business to know every one of her residents by name and goes above and beyond to ensure that residents have all their needs met. I recommend Colonial Grand to anyone looking for a great place to call home.

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about Colonial Grand at Bellevue! Also, thank you for the recommendation, and have an amazing day!
We have been living at Colonial Grand for about a year and a half now, and it has been the best apartment we have lived in. Barbara in the office is great, and she always answers any questions we have promptly. The maintenance crew comes out the same or next day even on non-urgent requests.

I could not be more impressed with, and grateful for, the great service and care I have received from the staff at Colonial Grand apartments! They are always at the ready to assist. And I love my apartment! It is spacious and quiet. I feel very safe here as well with its being a gated community. Maintenance is always done in a timely way and with satisfactory work. I would recommend Colonial Grand to anyone!

I lived here for nearly 4 years and it used to be a great place to live, great maintenance and great people at the leasing office. Now is a different story....where to start.... they sell it as "luxury apartments" when the kitchen and bathroom are at least 10-15 years old including the A/C unit. Speaking of A/C unit, be prepare to pay hundreds dollar of electric bill just for have a barely conformable temperature in winter! Hidden fees, you have to pay $110 of internet in addition to your rent and no, you can not avoid it! Trash, you pay for trash, but the compactor is constantly overfull or broken, so if you live nearby, be prepare to have a lot, and I mean A LOT of bugs in your apartment and of course, the smell is constant. Maintenance, it used to be great until this year... you have to call multiple times in order to have something fix in a proper way.... A strong suggestion, there a lot of other apartment in the area, look for something else and save your time and money!

Thank you for being a loyal resident and for your review. We are glad you have enjoyed your home for so long, and we are so sorry that you are no longer happy with a few aspects of our community. We will be sure to escalate your feedback regarding trash and our maintenance team's response time to the appropriate team members. We would appreciate an opportunity to make things right. Could you please give us a call or come by the office at your earliest convenience? We would like to gather a few details about your situation. Thank you for your patience!
This place is awful, management is awful, they will charge you a fee for anything. I just came to pick up a package from the office and the leasing manager told me she threw it away because I did not come fast enough. Very rude and unprofessional. Please beware
I moved here in June and my apartment smelled so bad from the previous tenant. I had to call multiple times to get them to spray for bugs. You have to pay for pest control that they barely do and I’m convinced they sprayed sugar and water because it attracted more bugs. You also have to pay for trash removal and the compactor is down for days at a time and their suggestion was to go all the way to the other side of the complex or pay more money for someone to pick up our trash. Overpaying for a lot of things and your rent is never the same price because of water.
I wish I’d seen these reviews before I moved in. They’re nice to you up front and everything looks wonderful but after you move in good luck. Building is to old and maintenance is non existent. Overpaying for a decaying building. My advice keep looking.
Comfortable and convenient to shopping, entertainment and dining.
I have been living at Colonial Grand for four lease agreements. I reluctantly stayed Simply bc staying was easier than moving. However, recently they have changed the property management team in the office and I could not be more pleased. The maintenance team is friendly and helpful. They now actually clean through the breezeways, which was never done before and our units looked old sad and run down unless we personally swept out the debris. The office answers the phone now AND is pleasant and speaks to me as if I actually matter. The changes have been an amazing positive difference. I would recommend anyone looking for a new place to chose Colonial Grand. My only complaint is with the residents who own dogs that do not clean up after their dogs , but that has nothing to do with the property its self and most likely anywhere you live with a community.
The leasing staff have been very helpful. Maintenance is extremely responsive to my work orders and will also perform follow-up. The grounds are always clean. However, since I have been living here, the gate has been broken several times and will sometimes stay inoperable for weeks. The wildlife always makes for fun times when I leave my apartment.
Great place to live!
I love Colonial Grand Apartments because it is kept clean and they respond to any issues with professionalism. They care about you and your "home".
I have enjoyed living here. I never really hear anything through the walls which has always been my complaint at other complexes.
Very satisfied. They keep the grounds clean, landscape well kept, fitness centers are good and all the equip in good working order, friendly & helpful staff, etc. The lighting is good but I would encourage more lighting around the mailbox area (at least the one on the downstair side of Bldg 3.
I am divorced but have four children, so apartment life at Colonial Grand is appropriate for me. I have been here 1.5 years, and as a short-term opportunity before I purchase a home, this has been ideal.
Great place to live. Great personnel
I?ve lived at Colonial Grand at Bellevue for 10 years! I can?t think of another place to live than in Tennessee and choosing Colonial Grand at Bellevue as my home! Simply put, the best living possible!
Colonial Grand has been a wonderful place to live. I've been a resident for a couple years now, and they've taken great care of myself and my wife. If we have maintenance needs, they're taking care of asap. Rent is reasonable, location is great. The front office staff is always nice and helpful as can be! Great place to live.
I have enjoyed living at the Colonial Grand for almost 6 years now. The amenities are fantastic. I use the fitness center and the pool regularly. Because this is a gated community, I feel relatively safe walking my dog early in the morning and after dark at night. The front office people (Jason, Lisa, and everyone else) are always pleasant and helpful. I always feel that they listen to my concerns and take action when needed. The maintenance guys (Michael, Kyle and the other guys) respond to requests promptly and efficiently. I never have to wait very long for repairs to be done. Landscaping is awesome. It was the landscaping that attracted me to the Colonial Grand in the first place 6 years ago. The recent addition of apartments and renovations of the existing grounds has only improved my satisfaction in living here. Although the rent does increase yearly, I am currently satisfied that I am still getting great value for my money. There are some areas of the property that needs improved lighting. I would like to see more attention directed on ensuring that existing lighting is always working. That is not always the case and it is frustrating as so many tenants have dogs and it can be difficult for traffic to see us in the street. I would certainly recommend the Colonial Grand to anyone. It is a great place to live.
Repairs are done in a timely manner. Issues are addressed properly through the leasing office. Prices rise continually. Parking spaces are wide but there should be one designated space per apartment and guests should be required to park elsewhere. Residents with more than one car should park the additional car further away. Handicapped parking should be variable according to the needs of the actual resident with one additional for guests as these are constantly unused near my building.
I?ve lived here for two years now and just signed our lease for another year. The staff here has been wonderful if any issues come up and the maintenance staff is very responsive and quick to get work orders done! The pools and gyms are maintained year round and they have made both very inviting. The apartments are spacious and renovated beautifully! I?ve loved my time here and would recommend these apartments to anyone!
The staff are incredibly helpful and caring. The grounds and amenities are first class and exceptionally maintained. Our apartment is lovely. I can't imagine living in another complex with so many benefits!
Great people and leasing office. Grounds and Pool area are well maintained except for the outdoor grills. Due to their usage they need to be serviced better.
Colonial Grand is the best apartment complex I have ever lived in! I switched complexes and instantly regretted it! As soon as my lease was up, we came running back!
The property is immaculate and positioned perfectly in Nashville close to parks and amenities while being only 15 minutes from downtown. We love the friendly office staff and they always have popcorn and homemade cookies waiting for us! The maintenance team goes the extra mile to respond to our requests quickly. Feels like home!!
Colonial Grand understood my needs, and paired me with my perfect apartment. Their amenities are close by, and they are always willing to help with any problem I may have. I would make the choice to live here again.
Quiet and get maintenance response promtly. Like the layout of my apartment.
Overall it?s been a wonderful experience. It?s safe, clean and a wonderful apartment complex.
Maintenance is good, grounds are well kept. Quiet property. Parking is horrible in the new phase. Didn?t use to be bad. Parking was great when i moved in around July but by January I?m having to carry things from the other side of the next building over. Apartments are nice. Phase 2 definitely is better insulated and has much better hvac.
I like the location of the apartment. Its pretty quite and everyone here, including the staff are real nice. I do have a few complaints though. I hate the price Im paying for my apartment, but I suppose I cant escape that with high cost of living in Nashville. My second complaint is how people speed through the parking lot! One car almost hit me and my dog because they were speeding! Another time somone almost hit me as I was pullinh out of a parking spot next to a giant pickup; I couldnt see and pulled out slowly and they flew past me almost taking my back end with them. People drive through here like its a surface street. My 3rd complaint is that there is poor lighting in some areas at night. 4th complaint is that a lot of people dont clean up after their dogs.
My experience here at Colonial Grand Bellevue has been very nice. My unit is one of the older buildings on the property. Therefore the appliances need to be replaced in my opinion, and there is little counter space in the kitchen. When things breakdown, the maintenance grew are quick to respond to my request. My unit is quiet, and the property outside is clean and well maintained. The office staff and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. I am on my second least here, and at this point would not be too unhappy if I had to stay another year, although my hope is to purchase a house soon.
A very nice, cozy area tucked away just off of Old Hickory Blvd. Perfect location. Minutes from both downtown Nashville and Franklin. Spacious and clean apartments are very reasonably priced and affordable. Love, love, love living here! The staff are all incredibly nice and personable!
I enjoy the atmosphere, but I don't like that we HAVE to choose AT&T internet AND cable. I typically only stream, and I feel like I'm being forced to pay for something I wouldn't normally use. Also, AT&T had terrible customer service, and it was frustrating that I couldn't go to another company. And having only 1 dumpster far away is kind of a pain, but not that big of a deal. Overall, I really do enjoy living here.
I have been at the property for 2 years now. The parking lines in the parking lot need to be repainted, better lighting needs to be added next to walk ways. A side walk next to the main road in needs to be added. The grills need to be better maintained.
We moved in a few months ago and really enjoy living here. It is very clean and maintenance is very quick to respond to any small repairs. The only complaint that we would have is the proximity of the train that runs along south of the property, it can loud at some points.
all is good... my one wish would be to have patio door with screen... if more were built recommend wider outdoor patio/deck... even one foot wider would make big difference
I wish I could right a better review about this complex but I can't. Since moving in I have been unable to drink the water in the apartment because it tastes like bleach. The office said that was just Nashville and TN in general. (Untrue as I grew up in TN and have lived in Nashville with no problems before.) Since August, I have been dealing with a neighbor's cigarette smoke seeping into my apartment. Multiple times they have tried to resolve the issue and have been unable - it always returns. It has left all my stuff smelling like smoke not to mention continuously putting me in a unsafe living environment. I had company in town one weekend and a relative who was allergic to smoke had a horrible time. On more than one occasion, I have reported the issue to the office and was told a specific time frame they would get back to me. However, more than once they didn't follow-up through and I have to follow-up on getting the issue resolved.
Not about quiet living..continuous neighbor problems. First experience was domestic fighting where police were called on at least 3 different occasions in the apartment to the left of me. (I did not call police, they did.) Immediately after they moved out, new neighbors moved in upstairs that throw parties until 7am with music so loud my wall vibrates. Hot mess... that I can not get out of until lease is up. Office does not care about your experience and only out to make every dollar off of you that they can. Do not get into this situation. Do not be fooled by the gates for security because they are hardly ever closed. Walls are paper thin.

The place looks very nice on the surface and my BF and I were initially pretty happy when we moved in BUT that changed fast at the first maintenance request and every time since. Shoddy workmanship and cheap materials means nothing ever gets replaced or fixed just a bandaid that breaks a week or 2 later. Workers are rude and change over in the front office means no accountability. Don't move here.

I moved here in July 2015 and have fallen in love with the area. The staff are so friendly and the apartments are brand new so it is perfect. Absolutely love it here!
My boyfriend and I just moved to Nashville and we've been at colonial grande for about 3 months now. We love this complex and the surrounding Nashville area. I'm currently attending pharmacy school and he's working a job at bass pro to make ends meet. Rent for life would help us out tremendously!
These apartments are brand new(well the section we are in). We are the first people to live in this apartment. The older unites were actually more expensive....strange, but true. Nice wood floors on the first floor and very quite and energy efficient. Which in this city we have heard that is very important. Our first months energy bill was just under $90 in the month of July and we keep it at 68 at night and 73 during the day. So pretty good so far. They do make you pay for AT&T Cable even if you don't want it. Which is fine because we want it, but if you don't want cable your still paying that bill
Very quiet and the maintenance department rocks! Every request has been done in 24 hours and frequently the same day. Couldn't ask for better!
