Toured this complex today and sadly, the amenities are very outdated. Stuffy model apartment was shown, outdated appliances, only carpet options, and no detached garage, so the highest floor can’t even get a garage. Great location and all other amenities are there, just wish they updated the kitchen and had a few detached garages. We would seriously consider if so!

Scheduled a tour and canceled due to bad reviews. Leasing agent called me 10 times in 2 hours, left four voicemails, and only stopped calling once I answered and told him to leave me alone or I’d report him for harassment. He proceeded to email me three more times. It really makes you wonder how desperate they are to rent apartments if they feel the need to be this aggressive in this kind of housing market.

I was recently visiting with my sister and within an hour we killed almost 15 worms (centipedes)which she's experienced since June. She has experienced mold in her bedroom on the window and she has been sick for almost a month due to it. I was watching the manager on security camera and she talked to my sister as if she was if ignorant and just allowed mold to grow on her window. I spoke to neighbors who are experiencing the same things

I’ll start by saying, we’ve only been living here 4 months and it’s been a nightmare since day one. We did a walkthrough the day we moved in and it looked like they did absolutely nothing to prepare the unit for a new tenant. The second bedroom had a huge red stain in the middle of the carpet, the drain was missing from the kitchen sink, the shelf in the front closet was hanging by one screw, the fire alarms were dangling from the wires, and only one button on the microwave panel worked. They did fix all these issues...it just took them weeks to do so. Another issue is the bugs. Yes, believe every review about bug issues that you read about this place. Thankfully, we have not had any mice in our apartment, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were somewhere in this complex. So glad we pay for pest control.. And although the bugs are bad, I’m capable of killing them or bringing them outside myself. The real problem is the zoo that lives above me. These apartments are VERY cheaply made. The walls/ceilings are paper thin, and I’m unlucky enough to have gotten stuck beneath a family with useless parents who allow their children to scream at the top of their lungs and run/stomp through the apartment like wild animals at all hours of the day. But the office REFUSES to help. “They have determined” that these noises are par for the course in apartment living. (Although in the walkthrough, the apartment manager heard the noise from upstairs and said for us to let them know if it continues because it’s excessive). I’ve lived in numerous apartments and have NEVER been woken up at 6:30am EVERY weekend due to inconsiderate neighbors. The only solution the office has given is to move us to the fourth floor, which doesn’t work for me. All I want is to be let out of our lease, because if I need to be inconvenienced to move again, it would be far away from this sorry excuse of a living environment. DO NOT LIVE HERE. No one should ever have to pay this much money to absolutely hate being home. So unless you want to live in an absolute dump with awful neighbors,save yourself a lease-long headache.

Staff is awful and inconsiderate of your time and money. Place is not good.
I have lived here for almost five years,for the most part without complaint. But the dumpster issues here are horrendous. The manager is rude and there is always a problem with the staff sticking around. Never know who you will get. Finally seems that they are trying to rectify the maintenance turnover. We finally seem to have part of the maintenance staff,doing their job and then some.....hats off to Joe.......A .

Long story short, we have moved into two different apartments within the complex. The first one was infested with German roaches after a fire from another resident. Pest control came every single week and nothing worked. Then after dealing with it for two months and having a newborn, we moved into another building just to find out that this building was ALREADY infested with German roaches. Talked to other residents within the building. The office manager then got an attorney involved because we did not want our 4 month old daughter around these chemicals anymore and asked if she would do something different. She didn’t agree and made it seem like it was our fault that we were dealing with this issue, after she already told us it wasn’t our fault. The office staff sucks, buildings are infested with German roaches, and both buildings that we lived in have horrible black mold. Yes, we did tell them number of times and they told us that it was our responsibility to clean it. According to the health department it’s thier responsibility to fix the issue seeing that it is very dangerous for Residents. Just stay away from this area, especially building 5 and 6. It’s not worth your time or enjoy. Let alone you’ll get very frustrated with the property manager because she constantly lies, she constantly makes it seem like it’s the residents fault, and she does NOTHING to fix the problems. You’ll see plenty of reviews about her, she is absolutely horrible. .

Stay Away from this place! ! ! Each year they will randomly increase your rent with no justification whatsoever. My rent has been increased by over $100! I went to their website and found my identical apartment listed for $100 cheaper! Don't bother talking to management, they are worthless, unprofessional, and rude. They didn't comprehend that my identical apartment is being sold for over $100 cheaper on their website. They intentionally raise your rent because they think you are too lazy to move out. Good luck with that tactic, and they can enjoy the empty apartment on their property because of their greed. I guarantee my current apartment will not sell for the amount they are trying to get me to release it for. It will be listed on their website for much cheaper. Also, the maintenance crew will enter your apartment without giving any prior notice. If you are in the shower, they will knock and come right in. Stay away from MAA properties! There are newer, better managed, and nicer apartments in the area that are much cheaper.

Oh boy. where to start. It isn't uncommon for me to receive three emails from three different people within the office in a given day, they are so disorganized. The office manager misspelled the words 'writing' and 'moving' in a most recent email to me. Why you would hire someone into an office position that can't master 3rd grade era spelling is beyond me. It doesn't seem like too much to ask for for the staff communicating with me to be literate in their communications. Enclosing some pictures of the trash situation. Terrible. I've also been charged for a year for standard upgrades I was promised in writing before I moved in, but never received. I've showed this correspondence to the incompetent manager to demonstrate I've been over paying for a year essentially, and like everything else you try to deal with through management it was a total debacle. Broken glass everywhere. Extremely poor maintenance. Pot smokers have grown in numbers so if you aren't a fan of the smell, go elsewhere. This apartment is in a block of three, and out of curiosity I've toured the other two. Please, anyone in your right mind choose any of the adjacent options. They are far nicer.
Terrible place to live. Mice and cockroaches are a huge issue. Maintenance is out of touch, and the trash situation is obviously what causes the bugs. In 2016, management obviously aggressively sold without planning to support those living here. Dog waste is left everywhere. I'm from Charlotte, and I have lived in a few apartments around there. I've never seen such a poor community. Please, take it from someone that lived here. I'm soon relocating to a friends where - for less money - they have none of these issues! I have been dumfounded at how this company functions. Manager, Nicole, is useless. 5/10 times I've politely emailed her about maintenance issues, she is on extended PTO. Staff circulates so quickly the new people, while obviously trying their hardest, don't know enough to be helpful. Steer clear. Ultimate irony? I used to run an apartment community early in my career! I would never imagine a place like this could exist providing such poor service.
There is a huge trash problem here. It doesn't get collected enough, so every week from Tuesday-Saturday you can't put anything in the compactor. You have to be on 24/7 alert to get trash in before the compactor is blocked. The leasing people are super aggressive but obviously didn't plan on this many people, which it seems like is something they should plan for. I thought it was just me at first, but I have a friend two building over, and am also friends with a family in the building directly adjacent to mine. Here is what i've heard, after asking around about whether it was just my apartment that had issues. -Maintenance usually has to get called 3 times (I've literally tracked it) to fix anything correctly -The manager, I think the name is Nicky or something, is really rude. I thought people got into leasing because they like being around people? -Because the trash is so bad, cockroaches are everywhere. My one friends says they have mice also, although to be fair I don't have this issue. But yeah, other bugs are everywhere Recycling is also a problem. It isn't done properly so like the trash it spills out into the street for 5/7 days of the week. I moved here from Tennessee, and I wish there had been more reviews when I signed my lease. The stuff I hear from my neighbors and experience personally most days is just nuts. The second my lease is up I am getting out of dodge. This place is really, really unprofessional. I manage a chain of retail stores, and I honestly don't understand how this business has any remaining customers.
I have been living in this apartment for the last 2 years and can't say anything bad about it.I love this apartment complex. It is located in a beautiful surrounding. It is close to lots of shopping and restaurants (Brier Creek and Brierdale Shopping Centers). The common areas are well maintained. It is safe and and very convenient to do walks and runs.
