Property Ratings at MAA Centreville
This is a pretty descent complex to live, we renewed our lease for another year after having several setbacks due unreasonable rent increase and finally getting a good deal once the price dropped of what we used to pay. Besides this issue we're comfortable living here. The apartment itself is spacious and most of the units have new appliances in the kitchen area. Maintenance crew is responsive and great, administrative office staff is just ok.

Hello, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. If you ever need anything else from us, please feel free to give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day!
This was my first time renting an apartment. Was it the perfect place? Meh. My neighbors were a little noisy, the location of the complex from DC was rough and the trash compactor broke, giving people an excuse to throw their trash wherever. HOWEVER, the management and maintenance have always been to wonderful and responsive. We had 1 mouse, we reported it and it was dealt with in a matter of days- since then, no mouse. No pests, very nice sized, affordable apartments. This was a great first renter experience. All fees were written out, the payment system was easy and overall it was a great first place to call home. We're moving out to be closer to the city, but we were incredibly satisfied and you will be too.

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about Post Corners at Trinity Center! If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help!
Don't even consider living here. We have only lived here for two months and we were ready to move out the day after we moved in. This apartment complex is so noisy due to the poor infrastructure of the buildings and the constant construction work being done outside. If you live on the bottom floors or you have floors above you, you can hear every single footstep the person above you makes. I have literally heard the neighbors above us drag something across the floor before. You can hear your neighbors beside you vacuum their floor, their dogs barking, and even them shutting their front doors as they go in and out. There is constant construction going on with repairing sidewalks and the parking lot. And when I say constant, I mean the construction continues well into the evening past 7:00pm, so good luck trying to relax when you get home from work in the evening. Aside from the noise pollution coming from every outlet possible, the apartments are extremely outdated for the amount you're paying. The appliances had to have been the original from when the apartments were built. The bathtub/shower and sink in the bathroom are painted? With what and why, I don't know, but the paint is literally peeling from both the bathtub and the sink and it looks disgusting. Not only that, what is being revealed below the paint is rust and other discoloration, which I am assuming is why they painted it in the first place. Though, I still don't quite understand why you would paint them rather than replace it, but it seems very lazy on their part. The expensive price you're paying to live here is going somewhere but it's not going towards basic updates on the apartments, that is for sure. I won't even touch on the rat situation as others clearly have...yes, they are here, I concur with the others that have left a review on this matter. The front gate is also always broken. They fixed it the day before we moved in and then on the day we moved, in it was broken again. Just don't do it... we will likely be ending our lease early because I don't think it's possible to live here comfortably without so many inconveniences.

Hi, we are so happy to read such a great review about Post Corners at Trinity Center! Thanks again for taking the time to leave us this information about your recent visit. Take care!
PESTS AND SAFETY. Full story below. I moved here in 2018 and the place was nice and the front office staff was very accommodating. If there were any issues, Kaylie, the assistant property manager at the time made sure that the issue was resolved as soon as possible. I was moving across the country for a job and the entire front office staff was great at helping me get settled in even though it was a Saturday. After I got moved in, I had no qualms about going in person to the office and talking out any issues that were going on and the staff were very nice and worked hard to make things right if there were any problems. Around 2019, when the new front office crew took over, the community went downhill fast. Maintenance requests are handled in a very haphazard manner and not completed fully so original issues persist even after the "work" was completed. As a previous poster mentioned, the safety of the area is now being called into question with some of the violent crimes being committed close to the community and the gates are always broken and left open. The "contractors" are always called to fix them, yet the problems seem to still persist. I'm a larger guy; lift, do BJJ, former military, and am a concealed carry permit holder, but if I was a single woman without personal defense and firearms training, I wouldn't live here. As other posters have mentioned, there's now a pest problem. In my case, I've had a persistent mouse problem for about a year. Their "pest guy" just put a trap under my sink (not where they were coming in btw, which was under the oven along the wall). I had an issue with a window last year. I went to speak to the front office and they were insulting and condescending when I mentioned that I've seen plenty of general contractors and work trucks out in the community when they cited COVID was the issue not getting the window fixed. The front office person implied that I didn't know how to read placards or what a contractor's truck looked like. To get any movement on the window issue and now this mouse problem, I've had to be up front and mention that I'm considering reporting them to the county for unsanitary living conditions and improper maintenance of the property. This current management team has failed their tenants on so many levels. Even with all these failures, they have the audacity to raise rents. Word of advice, consider other places in the area unless there is a turn over in management for the better.

Staff in office never answers the phone, tried emailing as well and have never gotten a response. This has happened multiple times, also the gym seems to fall apart everytime I go in. I don't understand why we pay an amenities fee for broken stuff in the community it doesn't make sense at all.

I don’t recommend this apartment if you are sensitive to noise and the vibration that comes with it from inconsiderate neighbors. Management reminds us about “quiet times” but they have not been able to enforce it when I complained about noise during quiet times. This is not an apartment you can call home, where you can relax after a long day, or even enjoy a good night’s sleep. I don’t know how many times I called leasing office to complain, and not get any resolution. It’s frustrating and I have rented three other apartments and this is the first time I wrote a review. This is a friendly warning if you value sleep and relaxation after a long day. This is not a nice apartment in my opinion if you are sorrounded with inconsiderate neighbors. Not only do you have to deal with your neighbors above you, there’s also the problem of neighbors slamming their doors knowing that the doors to this apartment complex are heavy and slam on their own. Management knows this is a building problem, and again there’s nothing done on their end to fix this issue.

I like the location of property Also like the management Very responsible for listening issues or taking care of complains Great job on snow removal making sure for safety of residents I really like to live here
Staff is responsive and helpful. Common areas well maintained.
Excellent community, very clean surroundings, helpful and friendly staff.
My living experience has been going well so far
I like it here so far. Close to everything and staff is helpful if you have a question. Excellent maintenance team and quick response time
Great location, easy access to shops, mall, highway. In general the community is quiet and service requests are answered quickly
So far everything has been perfect! The apartment is stupid nice and the leasing office is always friendly and helpful. The maintenance team is also quick and very professional! I will recommend to others looking for a new home
The property is very clean and for the most part it is quiet. The majority of the people who live here are well mannered and courteous. The maintenance here is very efficient and will complete things in the first visit. The property is pretty well maintained, the landscaping could be better and is pretty basic. The garbage and recycling center is awfully inconvenient especially in the Winter months and more often than not that area looks horrible. For the most part I am pretty happy here, aside for some of the residents who don't seem to care about those around them and the extra noise from rowdy people on the highway I can't think of any complaints. Cheaper or more reasonable rent that doesn't increase every year would be nice but this property seems to be on par with the rest of the county.
I really love the property. Our apartment is big and spacious and I think we got it for a good price. Everyone who works here is nice and the property always looks fantastic. Even in the snow!
I have enjoyed living here so far very peaceful community with not much going on noise wise
Everything has gone well so far. No major complaints. All of the staff has been very kind and helpful! The only complaint I have is having broken down vehicles taking up parking spots for long periods of times as well as recent noise issues with neighbors. But nothing too awful.
I have rented about 14 different apartments in my life and I have never experienced the situation I am about to describe. I was looking for a place closer to work and after touring this property I found an apartment that fit the bill. I filled out the application, paid the upfront fees (about $300), and returned the lease signed that they sent me about a week after visiting. After returning the signed lease, I put in a notice to my current apartment that I would be moving out. Two weeks passed and I got a call with a voicemail message from Post Corners explaining that they have some bad news that the apartment that I signed a lease for is no longer available. I called back confused, how this could even be possible. They explained that the current tenants decided to not move out and that they technically never signed the lease on their end. Yes, let me reemphasize this. They strung me along making believe that I have reserved an apartment and then told me sorry, even though you paid the fees we can not give you this apartment but have another option that is $400 more a month, after I already gave my current landlord a move out date. I expressed my frustration, and they said that they would return $250 in upfront fees, but keep the $50 application fee for their inconvenience. Yes, for their inconvenience! In my opinion, this is basically steeling someone's wallet then giving it back them, but telling them they are keeping $50 for the inconvenience. This somehow should be illegal. Two months have passed and I still have not been reimbursed the other $250. If this is any indication of the management at this place, it is not good. So the moral of the story is that know if you are considering renting at this place, you stand a very strong chance of losing $300.00 for nothing in return and a situation where you are forced to find another apartment immediately. Never encountered anything like this in my life that would describe almost like a scam. Save yourself peace of mind and look at the other apartments in this area.

Thank you so much for bringing this unfortunate situation to our attention. Our staff strives to provide top-notch service and accurate information for our residents at all times, so we are disappointed to learn of your negative leasing experience in our community. We would like to talk with you in more detail and see if there is an acceptable solution that works for everyone. Please call us at your earliest convenience at 866-620-1130.
I have lived at this location for 4 years. I used to love it here until a new management company came and took over. There have been some changes for the better such as new paint and new water heaters (coming soon). This is a gated community and I this was one of the main reasons I moved here, but except the past few months the gates are constantly broken. At least one or more of the entrance or exit gates is always open. I almost got hit exiting through the front exit gate because cars are now entering the complex through it, since it is always open. Two weeks ago a man got stabbed at V5 club/bar across the street and this past summer a man’s body was found in the lake across the street also. So why are the gates not working? Where is the security I am paying for? I always receive all communication through email if the leasing people or contractors are going to be doing maintenance in or around my apartment. However, yesterday I came home to my apartment door being painted and open and my dog almost got out. I was not notified in any way. These are multiple security and safety issues. I do not feel safe leaving my apartment anymore because the new management team changed the rule about breed restrictions. There is no longer a restriction on aggressive breeds or pet weight. This is disturbing because my neighbors have a very large and aggressive German Shepherd who tried to attack me while I was bringing groceries upstairs last weekend. The young man holding him could barely hold the dog back. I called the leasing office and was told that “they would be happy to speak with them but there are no breed restrictions and if this happens again to call Animal Control”. There is also another man living on the property who owns a large grey pit bull who tried to attack me and my dog walking one evening. It is very scary to now walk my dog, especially at night. Now, I received my rent renewal for the next year and it has been increased by $50. So, what am I paying for when my safety and security is being jeopardized on the daily basis here?

We moved to Post Corners June 2016. We transferred from Post Park which is a great community to live at. I am going to give you the list of problems we had from day one all the way through the end of the lease term which was June 2017 when we moved. 1. Mail box keys did not work. The attempted to have this fixed 5 times. It finally was fixed August 2016. Two months after moving in. 2. Ice Machine- Broke first day on move in. Fix three days later 3. Hot water Heater leak- Flooded our sun room. August 2016 took 4 days to fix. They had to have repair people come in to fix it. 4. Cabinets falling apart. I was promised upon move in that new cabinets were going to be installed, which never happened. 5. Bedroom window screen never replaced, asked twice. 6. Hot water pressure never fixed. 7. Hot water Heater leak again. 2 days to fix. 8. ROACHES from near by apartment. They could not get ride of them. 9. Property never clean on that side of the community. I never saw a cleaning crew in my entire year there. Near the leasing office was clean. 10. They pride themselves on being a gated community. The gate was broke every week on our side. I never saw ONE week were the gat worked the full week. The staff are nice. The property is old and in much need of a upgrade for the prices they are charging. Please beware they will be nice upon move in, but very little help once you are in. Please make the best chose. Happy Apartment hunting.

We greatly appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us about your experience at Post Corners. While we are disappointed to learn that it was a negative one, we do value your feedback, as it is extremely helpful and allows us to constantly improve our services and property operations.
DO NOT BE FOOLED. If you are on the second or first floor, you can hear every foot step from upstairs and if there are rude/loud people living upstairs, you will be miserable. Management will not do anything about this and this issue was not mentioned prior to us signing a lease, which I do not appreciate. The walls are paper thin, we have had issues with the heat, hot water, refrigerator, and mold on the windows in the bathroom and bedroom. The gym is a joke, very little equipment and it's out of date.
I have to begin with management, very easy-going manager Erin and whole team. They always ready to help, if you need to move out early or get bigger apartment they always will work out something for you. Apartments are updated, spacious and clean looking, big size closets, nice updated kitchen, washer and dryer in unit. Also it's a gated community which is very big plus. Complex has pool, gym, conference/party room, car wash (with vacuum), garages, storage rooms, tennis court, dog park, grills, rotondas, urban garden basically all this small perks which makes you feel very comfortable. Landscape of the apartment complex looks very beautiful itself. And I have to mention maintenance - always ready to help, usually they come same day, only once they came next day and only because it wasn't any major problem. So I would definitely recommend this apartments. I live here several years in different apartments and have to say never was disappointed.
Post Corners is a nice, safe, gated community. Well kept grounds, as well as a nice 24-hour fitness room that can be accessed with your gate key fob. The fitness room is also rarely crowded which is nice. I would however have problems exiting or entering the gate about once a month, and would have to use the other one, which made me late for work many times. Both gates never broke at the same time though, and they do keep them open during lighting storms, snow, ect. Maintinence is reliable, however in my time renting here I've needed to call them fairly often, which made me question what I was really paying for every month. I had reoccurring issues with ALL of the following: disposal, dryer, water temperature and one of the toilets. I also had the lining of my front door come off twice. This complex is generally a nice place to live, however I don't think it is worth the price compared to other apartment complexes in the area, especially with it rising each renewal.
Post Corners offers apartments with high ceilings, walk-in closets, and nice living space. The management is consistently good. The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained. This property is within walking distance to great stores, and restaurants. This is a wonderful place to live.
I've lived in many apartments, ever since I was a teenager. This is by far the best apartment complex I've lived in. Nice staff and such. But they are raising our rent so we will be looking elsewhere for a 2-bedroom apartment so our baby girl can have her own room.
Post Corners Trail is a beautifully green & yellow-painted apartment complex located just steps from restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and a path for exercise. The community area is clean and bright, and includes a pool, workout room, grill areas, a dog park, shared garden, kid's playground, and a tennis court. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick and responsive. The inside of my apartment has lots of closet space and is nicely carpeted. My shady, cozy balcony is perfect for relaxing on a summer night. All of my neighbors are friendly, and I would not want to live anywhere else!
