Property Ratings at MAA Double Creek
ZERO STARS. Let's start from the beggining. Their roaches are the size of horses. And no matter how mant times they "spray" they don't go away. I have seen 2 large ones in the last week. The show apartment looks nothing like the real aparmtents. They are outdated and gross. My door has a hole in it that was barely patched over, it is still visable. The yellow paint in the aparmnet is gross. Not to mention the previous tenant only left 1 day before us. Gross. The front office and everyone in it are less than helpful. They are never responisve to calls or emails. They only care about theor flower beds and grass. MMA should look into this place. Good luck living here.

I have 2 years at this property and to be honest I have not a bad review all the contrary. I love to live in this place, starting with the staff that is amazing. Few work orders attended immediately. I feel safe and the amenities are amazing. I love the social moments where I can share with new residents. Property is clean and quiet. Thank you Diana and Viri for all you do!

I've been living here for 5 years now and It has gotten so much better. Especially with the trash. I see some residents not even make the effort to open up the compactor to throw the trash so they just leave their trash right outside the dumpster & I have notice there is a lot of " Monkey see monkey do's" around here. I literally throw my trash every other day & have no problem with the compactor. I'm happy with the staff and all the hard work the maintenance guys do for the residents when they do not throw their trash correctly. Where ever you go your always going to have difficult residents. I choose 5 stars bc I have definitely seen this place take a huge turn for the good

The staff working at the office are always nice and extremely helpful. However when it comes to allowing contractors into our home I believe it will be helpful if someone escorted the contractor into the home. Only the staff has access to the pin number to disable my security alarm and if a staff member is there they can disarm the alarm and re-arm it when they are done would be very helpful to protecting the apartment. Telling a resident to leave their alarm off all day just so a contractor can come in for 15mins or so is leaving that residents apartment at risk; and if someone was to break in the alarm company will not cover any damages or anything that renters insurance won't cover because the alarm was not active when the break-in happened.
Colonial Grand is more than an apartment it is a community. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The maintenance staff works fast and efficiently. The grounds always look unbelievably well groomed all the time. And the people in this facility are always really nice and friendly - whether you are picking up your mail, working out in the gym or sitting by the pool. It?s by far the best experience I have had in apartment living.
I love my apartment (they are so clean and nice, the pool is awesome, the area is quiet) but more than anything the staff really makes this place my favorite place I?ve called home. They know me by name (and even remember my dogs name!) are always helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind. Any concerns I?ve had have been addressed within a day. The staff really is great. I just renewed my lease and I?m looking forward to another year here.
All is good except for the fact that the apartment had roaches when I moved in. Property management did send pest control out once to resolve the problem and for the most part I've only seen a few since pest control came out. However almost 90 days after move in I recently did see another one in the kitchen area. Another issue is the recycle and trash dumpsters seem to be filled to capacity more and more often.

I have been here for almost 2 months and I love it. It feels secure, its kept up with and the ammenaties actually work! I like that I'm in the city but away from downtown. It's a great lay out for its price. Best apartment in south austin! And I am always looking for deals! Lol
Colonial Grand at Double Creek is a hidden gem. I have never felt more comfortable at an apartment complex than I have at Colonial Grand. The apartment grounds are always clean, quiet and the landscaping is always pristine. During the night, I never hear any disturbances from the parking lot or neighbors. The front office staff is friendly and willing to help out with any problem. Colonial Grand has a luxury feel with an affordable price.
Have only been here 2 months and has been a great experience. Very clean and beautifully landscaped community. Has a real ?community?feel. The office team hAs been very helpful with move in and since moving in. Any problems have been addressed and taken care of quickly. Love it so far
Work orders are done timely and I appreciated that very much. Thank you for the paperwork left for me. Residents events are so thoughtful.

These apartments are nice and quiet. Wish they would start towing cars that don't have a parking permit. There is no parking at night whatsoever. And no access to your own water heater? Seems strange but overall. Pretty good and nice place to live
These apartments are expensive but you pay for the area you live in so I guess it equals out. They have an amazing pool & cabanas. The gym is pretty awesome, just missing free weights. You are able to hear the people around move around ALLLL day long but it's what you expect from an apartment. The all black appliances really look good in the kitchen. Overall if money isn't an issue then this place is where to go, there are no gates around the complex but it is pretty safe & the people around are friendly.
Over all, a very nice apartment that's not too expensive for Austin. The only problems are the fees add an extra $150 to your monthly rent and the parking is terrible. There is almost never any close parking which is difficult with groceries and a dog who travels with me quite frequently. But the apartments themselves are very nice & spacious. Management is pretty good. They don't bug unless there's stuff on your porch.
