Lenox Park begins just steps away from the retail center that is Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza, but you’d be wrong if you think the high-rises and traffic of Buckhead make their way to this tranquil neighborhood.
Founded in 1931, Lenox Park stretches northwest from I-85 to just before Peachtree Rd., bounded by East Roxboro Rd. NE and Briarwood Rd. NE. Among its tree-lined streets and dense landscaping lies an incredible variety of homes. Newly renovated apartments share the streets with Craftsmen and ranch-style homes. The neighborhood’s namesake park and its charming pond is a popular spot for a jog or a picture session. If you’re lucky you might find one of Lenox Park’s old urn-and-column style markers — only a few have remained since the area’s inception.
Lenox Park is mainly a residential area, but it’s close to the two most popular shopping centers in Atlanta, and if you work in Buckhead it’s a prime spot for renting.

Property Ratings at MAA Gardens
Moved into a cockroach infested apartment to start it all off. They could not get anyone in for pest control for one week, were not willing to help with anything. They did two pest control treatments with absolutely no change in the cockroach status. They they moved us out for two weeks without ANY compensation. We then moved back in, STILL COCKROACHES. They moved us units and made us sign a new lease without telling us the dates were going to change so we were locked into this hellhole for an extra two months. The new apartment we were moved into was very dirty. They said they were going to send a cleaning crew out to clean it, that never happened. GOOD LUCK talking with anyone in the front office. You have to call them approximately 10 times before they answer the phones. If you do leave a message there is absolutely no timeliness to their callback. I found a dead bird in the pool the other day and called them to notify them and they called my roommate back two days later--no pool treatment was ever done. The front office people are SASSY, let me tell you whoever answers the phone will never be able to help you with your issues and you will be referred to the property manager, who likely will also not be able to help you. The gates are always broken or damaged. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing. The walkways are absolutely revolting they say they ~clean them~ but the dog pee that stains the floor would say otherwise. Garbage is always overflowing its crazy disgusting. Could not recommend this place less. Maintenance is actually so great, quick response times and get the work done well. Only one more month left on my lease and I am counting down the days.

Been here since December .. counting down days to leave. After February of this year everything went down hill drastically and quickly… Violence, fire alarms, break-ins, health hazards with trash and mold, are just a few of the things. They cover it up real nice with “ renovations” With a cute courtyard. But besides that … You’ve got a spoiled and disgusting cake with some pretty icing to cover it up.

Do NOT move to this property! I’ve been here 9 years and I can’t wait for my lease to end to get out of here! There have been endless issues in the last 8 months including unavailable amenities because of delay and poor construction management. The violence has increased 200% in this year alone with no action being done except countless and worthless property emails. I’ve had to call over four times in the last three weeks for work orders to be completed properly and they are STILL pending. The management in the office rotates quicker than a revolving door and they fired one of the best maintenance men. They are looking to increase rent by several hundred dollars a month and it is NOT worth it any more when you can pay the same price for a much newer property. I have a group chat with my neighbors and not a single one plans to renew when leases end. Not to mention the trash issues being constantly overflowing at the compactor attracting bugs and animals is disgusting along with the consistency of frequent dog poop and pee all over the common grounds. This place became a real dump and they are doing nothing but making worthless threats without backing it up. Not to mention they have people at the pool screaming or playing loud music all throughout many nights. Don’t be surprised if you often smell illegal drug use and see sketchy individuals conducting illegal business on the property. Do yourself a favor and do NOT live here!!!

Not sure why pool and gym are both listed as amenities since the gym is currently closed (with no information about when it will reopen). They have not yet started redoing the pool, and summer is about to start. Wouldnt it make more logical sense to do the pool first, when it's cold and can't be used, and the gym during the summer, when more people are outside? Or at least provide your residents with dates for when the construction will start and end. Or tell them this will happen before they choose to sign a lease. Also, stop charging us a community /amenity fee since we don't have either one.

Hi, thanks for your praise and kind comments about our team. We hope you have a great day!
We’ve been experiencing issues with our water for about 3 weeks and for some reason they can’t seem to get it fixed. They have had to shut off our water multiple times but the problem has not been solved. The water in our kitchen sink is coming out brown, about the color of iced tea. We can’t shower, wash our hands, use the bathroom, wash dishes, wash clothes, cook, or drink water unless we purchase bottled water. These are disgusting and unacceptable living conditions.

A terrible experience. My roommates and I were placed in the wrong apartment on move-in day and ended up next to a freight train, MARTA, a dumpster, and a construction-grade trash compactor. Not only are we not in the apartment we were told we were applying for, but the walls are so thin that you are able to hear your neighbors above you use the restroom. Roaches were such a persistent problem that a roommate has woken up with one on her face. The cherry on top: should you ever have a noise complaint or security issue, the courtesy officer does not return calls. Should you be chased by loiterers from your car to your apartment, MAA's response is "we are not liable for your safety and cannot guarantee it." Management also failed to sign our lease for 7 months, and only did so after we attempted to put in a 60-day notice to get out of a bad situation.

I moved out a year ago and am thinking about moving back. It wasn’t the greatest place, but far from the worst. — What I do have to say is you need to pick your unit wisely and ask to be taken to see its location before signing. Apartments towards the back of the complex will have issues that you won’t experience towards the middle (where I was) or front. A previous reviewer complained about trash smell and the train noise. I had no problem with that in my apartment, but recognize it would be a problem towards the back. — The apartments are very dark. And living on the first floor was horrible because the apartments face courtyards where people walk their dogs at all hours. It’s really creepy having someone outside the bedroom window two feet from your bed at 4am. For the same reason, you have no privacy on the first floor and can never open your blinds. So do not rent a first floor unit. This was the main reason why I moved. — First time visitors and delivery people WILL get lost trying to find your apartment. The place is a maze and has poor signage. — The demographic is very young/party crowd. People make a lot of noise in the common areas at all hours. I didn’t have a noise issue with the apartments on either side of me, but walking noise from the apartment above is the worst from any place I’ve ever lived. — The package room is a huge pain. They made improvements while I was there, which did help, but still so difficult to find your packages. — There were a lot of car break-ins, but only to unlocked cars — I didn’t have any bug problems. — Maintenance was great and any issues were fixed by the time I got home from work. One time they even replaced light bulbs when they came to fix something else totally unrelated. — On the rare occasions that I did have to deal with the leasing office staff, they were actually the best I’ve had in the apartments I’ve lived in. — I think it’s decently priced and absolutely loved the floorpan I was in. It was a great size and layout. Also a huge fan of the covered parking (and the fact that they don't charge for it - a rarity in the area these days). I would recommend it if you pick the right unit. — I CAN’T BELIEVE I ALMOST FORGOT THIS!!! The fire alarm is constantly going off in at least one of the buildings and there is never actually a fire. Such a safety hazard because you learn to ignore it. At one point in the 3 years I was there, there was an actual small kitchen fire and everyone completely ignored the alarms

I recently moved out of Post Gardens to move from living by myself to splitting rent with another roommate. If it wasn't for that, I would have stayed here a long time. The staff is very friendly and attentive to issues. They respond to emails very quickly and are helpful in addressing issues. The maintenance staff is the same way, they are quick to respond and helpful on their first visit. The location is perfect as it is in the middle of Buckhead. The only complaint is the train tracks run behind the complex, but this is only an issue for a specific number of units. Overall, living here was a great experience, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your exceptional review for Post Gardens and for recommending us to others. We wish you well and hope you are enjoying your new home.
Post Gardens was the biggest waste of money. Post Properties is by far the most disgusting property management group I have encountered. -They elect to replace the carpeting after each tenet. You WILL be charged for it when you move out. ($900 for 900 sq feet) -You WILL hear the train no matter where you are in the complex. -The only apartments filled with natural lighting are the demo apartments. Yours will be dark and dingy. -If you live toward the back of the apartments you will smell the overflowing garbage year round. The smell will reach the rest of the community during the summer as the garbage sits, uncovered, in the sun. -Community amenities will break/be out of service, etc. They will also take months to fix. -Maintenance will take ridiculously long to respond to your requests. -Centipedes will take over your apartment and nothing will fix it, even weekly exterminator visits. -Poor ventilation will leave your closet damp. The list goes on, but I think this gets my point across. You will be severely disappointed and seriously over charged with the apartments.
I absolutely love living in post gardens. The rent is a good price for the Buckhead area. The location is great. It is near by Lenox mall and close to the Lenox marta station. It is located within the Lenox park area which is a nice area to walk and ride bikes. The apartments themselves are very large and spacious. I also love the community itself. They have a beautiful pool that feels like you are at a resort. There are flowers and beautiful plants and trees all over the community with nice sitting areas as well. I have lived here for the past two years and I would recommend it to anyone.
Post Gardens is a nice apartment with good amenities. I live in a one bed room and it is nice and is very roomy
These apartments are in a good location and a great first apartment. I would recommend for someone just starting out, but these are not super luxurious by any means - no granite, hardwoods, etc.
I have been living at Post Gardens for 2 years now, and will not be staying a third. Aside from the fact I feel like it is about college living with the neighbors above me, there are quite a few things that will not make me stay. Over the last year, we have been asked to pay an extra $10 for water (pool/lawn care) and electricity (parking deck/gym) which is beyond ridiculous considering our rent is jacked up each year. We have some of the loudest upstairs neighbors and I have called time and time again for complaints and they send some off duty security officer that first has to stop at my apartment, before addressing the issue. This often taks 30 minutes for him to show up, and often times it's after 12am, even on week nights. I do not find that an effective way to solve the problem. The leasing office is also not as friendly as they could be, and are usually a bit rude. We have had a few break-ins and car theft. I understand that is not uncommon in Atlanta, however I do not feel as if the office has taken any steps to further prevent this. Like most apartment complexes, this one is cookie cutter and things break. Maintenance is pretty good about coming to fix, however it is only another matter of time. Only positives are the sizes of the apartments, I am happy with that and the closet space. However, overall I will not be staying here another year. Good luck!
