Urban Center Irving is a small commercial district offering plenty of options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Lake Carolyn rest in the middle of the area, anchoring the neighborhood. Urban Center has a variety of lakeside eateries, retail stores, and apartments offering gorgeous views.
Entertainment options here are endless. Over the past three years, we have had roaches no matter how many pest control requests we put in or actions we take on our own. I don’t know if it’s because we face the canals or what. Rent is too high to have to deal with this amount of roaches. I killed four roaches one night and four roaches in the morning two days later. The pest control here is a joke. Maintenance takes forever to come, and the property isn’t being kept up with well

I lived at Colonial Reserve for a year and relocated to something closer to work. I had a awesome view from the 4th floor and every night was quiet. Parking garage is great for when a Texas storm comes through. The staff is courteous and responsive to all my questions. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in this apartment and would have stayed longer if it was not for my work. I strongly recommend Colonial Reserve if you are interested in living in the Las Colinas area!

I took a tour at this complex today because I wanted to see what it looked like- getting an idea of complexes in the area. It as THE WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve EVER had. La’Nyce C was the only one in the office and as soon as I enter the leasing office she was on her phone, not doing her job. She didn’t make any eye contact with me, she didn’t greet me, no customer service whatsoever. She was so rude from the beginning. So we walk to the apartment she is taking me to, she lets the door almost hit me in the face, and walks so fast leaving me behind. Doesn’t make any conversation with me about the apartment- she was on her phone the ENTIRE TIME. Once we get into the apartment I’m touring she is just in the corner on her phone- ignoring me. Is not showing me around- isn’t engaged at all. I asked her a question and she responded very rude and sarcastic. Once we leave the apartment I ask her “Do you hate your job” ” she said no I don’t hate my job I love my job you just didn’t give me any information to work with and since you didn’t give me any information there’s not much I can tell you” ....I was SHOCKED... The way she spoke to me was probably the worst I’ve ever been spoken to I literally just wanted to look around the complex to get an idea of what I was going to move into. She didn’t apologize after I told her she was unwelcoming and unfriendly she really did not care. I told her she made me not want to move her due to her lack of customer service. The manager of La’Nyce is loosing ALOT of money because this girl is so rude and isn’t doing her job. I’m not surprised if I’m not the only one she’s done this too. She didn’t apologize for the way she made me feel and simply she did not give a crap I will be posting as many negative reviews as possible for this place. Don’t move here, I can tell they don’t care about their residents, and the apartment itself is ugly.

I've lived in multiple apartments across the metroplex, but after living here for 11 months, this is my first negative review. Upon move-in, the apartment was extremely dirty and paint drips littered the floor. This added an hour to our move-in time as we had to clean the entire place, as well as place a work order to repaint and clean up the existing paint(only for them to do another sub-par job and spill more on the floor). However, most of the work is done by a third party so I didn't think much of it. After talking with multiple residents, this is a reoccurring issue that has yet to be addressed. Within the first couple months my AC stopped cooling when temperatures were hot. It took them nearly 48 hours to even walk into my room for the first time. Typically, AC issues are priority at most other apartments. My AC stopped working another FIVE times(no exaggeration). At one point, it took them 2 months to close out my work order with no communication in the meantime. This should be inexcusable due to the online platforms that remind them daily of outstanding work orders. Turns out there was a leak somewhere in the building affecting multiple apartments, and all they did was continually patch everyone's system for a few weeks. No accommodations were offered, and when I finally asked on the last outage, it was not entertained at all by the property staff. If you're looking at this property for the basketball court, stop. After work hours(when any normal person can play), it is full of neighborhood kids who are not residents. Little pet peeves...when I toured they promised protein snacks certain days of the week, as well as fresh towels in the weight room. I believe they snacks were in there twice, and they replace the towels once a week which are gone within the first day. From room to room, it's fairly quiet but the hallway is extremely loud and echoes because of the concrete. As mentioned in other comments, I'm sure they'll try to charge me when I leave as well even though I'll leave it better than when I got it. They charge $30/month for valet trash even if you do not use it. Parking is alright but can get a little tight at night. Overall, location is great and the lake is beautiful, but to pay "luxury" rent and get unsatisfactory customer service, I'd spend my money elsewhere. There are other much nicer properties in the area with comparable rent.

Honestly I am unsure on where to start. I was skeptical in becoming a resident with this complex to begin with but figured I would give it a chance. There is no level of customer service and I have heard repeatedly from other neighbors that management is arrogant and power hungry. They use every opportunity to get more money out of the residents by any means necessary and I cannot wait until the lease is over with at this point. Stay far away while Michael and Chuck are in charge of this property, they are terrible to do business with. If it wasn't for the sweet leasing agents, they would have no hope at all - so my one star is for the leasing agents.
I ultimately decided not to move to this location because of reasons unrelated to this property. I was very impressed with the leasing office, most notably Justiss. She was responsive, accommodating, and very patient as I was very indecisive. She answered all my questions and concerns during the tour of the property and was extremely knowledgeable. Very modern feel to the complex with a decent amenities and a ton of floor plans. The property is a little older than others in the area but it is well maintained. If I decide to move in this area, it will definitely be on my short list of places to call home.
1 bd, 1 ba 718sqft - high ceilings, large island, huge closet, king bed fits in bedroom with end tables on either side, no washer and dryer included (hookups in unit, laundry service onsite), allocated water, valet trash (a little pricier than other places), expensive pet fees, nice but small pool.
This is the perfect up and coming area with lots of new builds. You actually get more for your money in regards to floor plans, quality of materials used in the design plan, i.e granite countertops, real wood or concrete floors , and even spacing and square footage compared to the new units going up in the area. While the aesthestics of the common areas may be better with more upgrades in newer builds, the quality of life here is still better. This area is centrally located with easy access to shopping, grocery stores, downtown, etc. It has an uptown feel without all the hustle and bustle.
