Hello there, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. We appreciate you bringing this experience to our attention. If you are willing, please contact us at ResidentCare@maac.com and allow us 48 business hours for a response so we can work towards a resolution. We look forward to hearing from you.
This is my third time ever renting an apartment, and by far, renting here at the Grandview in Nashville has been the best experience. Because of all their amenities, plus the food trucks that come every Thursday, not to mention the amazing maintenance team and staff, I feel like I’m on vacation rather than living here. It’s only about an 11 minute drive to downtown Nashville. Originally we were just going to rent for 11 months, and then buy a house, but we have decided to extend our lease for another year. We’re just enjoying the proximity to downtown too much, not to mention the enjoyment of living here. I thought it was going to be difficult going back to living in an apartment, after owning a house for 20 years. My husband and I were greatly surprised at how comfortable it was to downsize. Plus it takes me a fraction of the time to clean our three-bedroom apartment, then it did our huge house in California. It leaves us a lot more time to have fun downtown!

Hi there, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything additional we can do for you. Take care!
We moved to TN to be closer to family. The apartment is nice however people do not follow rules. Theres dog poop all over where people don't clean up after their dogs like they are suppose to. We have neighbors on the ground floor who smoke weed all day long and the smell comes into our living room and bathroom. We can not open our windows or patio door or even enjoy the patio due to the smell. We have mold around our windows from where they don't seal. We have to constantly dry the water in the window seals. I definitely will not be renewing our lease come October. We have only been here 3 months and already regret it.oh and forget about gated community the gate stays open so long that 3 to 4 cars will speed in behind you when you come through.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are sorry to know you are disappointed in our community. We want to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our residents to enjoy, so it is disheartening to hear we've fallen short. We will discuss your concerns with our team. We value your input, so please give us a call or come by the office if there is anything further you'd like to share.
I have lived at Grande View for a little over a year now and here are the pros and cons. Pros: The apartments themselves are in a great location. Close to the city, close to natural parks, close to shops. Neighborhood shrubs are well taken care of. Overall aesthetically pleasing Good maintenance team. Quiet area. Very safe. Cons: Washing machines and dryers are the worst I’ve ever had. They refuse to replace them but instead send someone to look at them, tighten a few screws and remove some dust. I have never been able to dry something in one cycle. It generally takes 3 cycles on “high heat” which obviously has a negative impact on the electric bill. There are a ton of bugs. All different sorts. Especially in the summer. This is out of their control obviously but their measures to keep them out of homes aren’t the best. Despite asking them to remove the hornet nests from my balcony railings before spraying , they simply sent a guy to spray around them so eventually they just came back. The windows and sliding doors are not properly sealed so large flying bugs will get in through the holes and heat will leak out of them in the winter. Mailbox is not secure. I would not feel comfortable sending important mail off through the boxes on this complex. I have to go directly to the post office because someone has been vandalizing the mail boxes. Also, since the first outgoing mail box was destroyed a new one was created via a hole cut into another box, however, a soft tug on the hole will open the entire wall of boxes. I have tried to send off cards only to come back the next day, open the “new” the outgoing box myself and find that they’re still there. There is always a pile of abandoned furniture in the furthest corner of the complex . I noticed this before i moved here and was told that they have someone that comes on the weekdays to collect it. This might be true if they said every 2-3 weeks someone comes to collect it. Obviously residents are leaving their old things where they don’t belong but management needs to be more proactive about cleaning it up.

We're really grateful for your in-depth review. Our team is constantly reevaluating our performance in order to ensure that residents can enjoy the best possible living environment available. That said, we acknowledge that our washing machines and dryers may benefit from some upgrades, and we've noted your concerns with pests and our mailboxes as well. Please feel free to visit our leasing office or call to discuss these matters further, as we'd love to help things improve right away.
Worst experience in dealing with an Apartment Complex, or Landlord in general. They consistently make commitments that they cannot keep, and the overall upkeep of the apartments, and grounds continue to disappoint. I notified the office that one of the stair treads was severely damaged and in need of prompt attention to avoid it breaking and someone hurting themselves, Chelsea brushed the whole thing off, by saying "we ordered 100 steps, and the guy is getting to it, but there is no way for me to give you an exact day/time that it will be fixed." I certainly hope nobody gets hurt as a result of the carelessness, but if someone does, it might teach them to pay better attention to maintenance of their buildings. Additionally, when attempting to move out the entire office staff continued to make the process incredibly difficult and frustrating. We are moving as a result of military orders and Kathleen is claiming that the orders aren't sufficient and will not allow the lease to be terminated. I regret making the decision to call Grande View home for the past year and a half, and hope anyone who reads this will think twice about doing the same. There has to be a better complex out there than here. Literally, anywhere would be.

While we appreciate you taking the time to leave such a detailed review, we're sorry that your experience here has been so negative. We spend considerable time and resources to educate our staff on the importance of providing top-notch customer service, so we're saddened to learn that you feel so let down. We will discuss your feedback with the parties involved to determine whether we need to make changes to our procedures. Thank you for your candor we wish you well.
At this point I've been with Grande View for well over a year (1.5 or so) and can't comment the spot enough. For the price point (which is admittedly terrific), every person that has come through my front door seems almost shocked at what we are paying for it. Everything within the complex is very well maintained, and the staff has been nothing but helpful whenever a problem comes it -- be it amenities, minor rent issues, or anything in-between. Everything about Grande View feels very homey -- some apartments (if you spring for it) come with fireplace and vaulted ceilings, which do add to that vibe. It may lack some of the posh-er features of some of the downtown trendy apartments, but once again, you are getting a great deal with space and cost. My only issue? Food delivery (and visitors) are going to have trouble navigating through the huge complex. Some extra signage would help.

Thank you for being a loyal resident of our wonderful community! It's heartening to hear how much you enjoy the top-notch service and excellent value we provide. We also appreciate your suggestion about signage. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything you need!
We moved from Maine to come live at Grande View, and that being the case we weren't able to see the apartment in person... they took pictures for us, which failed to show the details such as mold in the shower, nails sticking up through floor in the bathroom, and that the gates were frequently broken and left open as well as a trash compactor that was always overflowing. My fiance and I are so frustrated and disappointed, living at Grande View is the worst decision we have ever made.
Had read the reviews and wanted to give Grande View a chance. I have regretted that decision since quite literally day one with the apartment in poor condition upon moving in, nails sticking up through the floor and loose nails scattered around the carpet. Dryer has consistently broken and they have had to visit 5 times so far, each time taking days to respond and forcing us to transport and dry our clothes at a laundromat which is incredibly inconvenient and costly. Maintinence people are nice but no doubt overworked as a result of poor management. I've only been here for 2 months and I'm so disappointed.
Grand view apartments itself is great! I love the apartment itself. But the staff is rude and lazy. They do not help their residents all they say is NO! The are more concerned about a rent than about assisting there residents and making sure they are having a wonderful experience with their community. When the gates or trash compressor breaks it remains broken from months. They brush things off like it’s no big deal. I loved the apartments just not the staff

Thank you for your candid feedback. We expect our staff to be helpful, courteous, and kind at all times, and we regret if you've had negative interactions with a member of our team. We'd like to address this issue in a timely manner, but we'll need more information to help us resolve it. Would you mind giving us a call at 866-620-1130 to tell us more about your experience? Again, thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
Apartments are outdated and shabby, in desperate need of an upgrade. Appliances very 90's and unreliable, oven burners don't always work, washing machine doesn't always spin. Water stains on ceiling in one bedroom, leaks whenever the people upstairs use their dryer. Worst of all, smoking is permitted INSIDE of these apartments! As a result, our apartment constantly reeks of cigarette smoke due to chain-smoking neighbors. Garbage is always piled up in the dumpster (as a result of inconsiderate residents disposing of furniture in them constantly and jamming the compactor, I have seen maintenance out there all the time working on this problem.) We have had multiple packages that were reported "delivered" go missing. These apartments are ridiculously overpriced for the quality/location. I could (and plan to, when my lease is up) lease a brand new apartment in the Cool Springs area for not much more than this dump.
I love my apartment! I have lots of room from my two spacious bedrooms, two expansive bathrooms (one has a Jacuzzi Tub), screened porch and open living room. I never feel cramped. There are always neighborhood activities to get involved in if you feel so inclined and two pools to cool off in during the hot summer months. I really love the convenience of being able to wash my car at the car wash provided for residents. Everyday when I leave work and drive up our beautifully curved manicured lane and roll through those welcoming gates I smile because it's good to be home.
The apartments are very nice, the area is beautiful and close to downtown. The staff is friendly. The only minor issues include the hot tub never working and the garbage dumpster is too visible, as it's always overflowing and an eye sore.
This apartment complex is very nice. It was the perfect fit for what I needed at the time. Clean, safe and affordable. Location is great. Target, Publix, Etc.. All within a few miles. And also just a $12 Uber ride from downtown. Only problem is it didn't come with a microwave and the fridge did not have an ice maker! What a bummer. It's 2015 guys. Other than that very pleased.
Grande View apartments is the place I had hoped to call home for years to come. I had a year long lease that seemed reasonably priced being in a great area of Bellevue, nice apartment, amenities, landscaping, pools, etc. Moving from Chicago, IL I realized I was getting more bang for my buck pricewise. Although all of this true, the management from before day 1 was troublesome. I was led to believe my apartment had a fireplace, tall ceilings, hardwood flooring, and so on. None of these selling points I was told were the truth when I saw the pictures of my apartment. So when i questioned the management about these false details they claimed it was all a misunderstanding. I moved here sight unseen and I was given inaccurate information and that's the bottom line. Once I moved in and needed a repair done or had a question for management in general, it would take weeks or never a response at all in some cases. The gates for the "gated community" are always broken. The free tanning beds aren't always operable. One of the pools did not open weeks after the supposed opening day. If you are willing and able to keep to yourself and can deal with things here and there in your apartment that need fixed but you're able to ignore, this complex may work for you. From what I have gathered, the management will sweet talk you into renting their property in anyway possible, then forget about you once you've signed your lease. The complex is beautiful and the apartments are nice, but the management is unfriendly and unreliable. I am not renewing my lease and am looking elsewhere due to my unsatisfactory experience at Grande View.
I feel that a 4.5 rating could be applied but half-stars weren't an option. There is always room for improvement in a complex & Grande View is no exception. That being said, I've resided in 5 apartments from TN to NJ to Manhattan over the last 15 years so I know apartment life. I've lived at Grande View for 6yrs & live in a 3bd/2bth. I've found the office staff responsive but due to frequent turn-over, it's difficult to cultivate a relationship. Once you have a friendly contact, they seem to move on. Workers tend to be young so that might be a factor. The maintenance staff has consistently been quick, polite, and do a great job. I've seen the same faces over time and that helps. I've only had 1major issue -my water heater had to be replaced- and it was handled quickly. The grounds are landscaped and well-kept. In the spring & autumn, I would say picturesque. There is a 24hr gym, which is smallish but nice. There are also tanning beds but I've never used them. There are two pools, a clubhouse, tennis court, 2 small playgrounds with swings, and a sand volleyball court. In my time I've never really engaged those facilities. I do run/walk, as do many other residents. There are natural inclines and a rather large hill at one end, so you definitely get intensity options. Negatives are the front gates & trash compactor. They are always broken. By residents, but still, it's super annoying. I don't envy mgmt dealing with that. They are always trying to engage residents to create a community. Joint rummage sales, book club, pool parties etc. These go off with various levels of success. I believe that's more a reflection on the personalities of the residents than anything else. You will encounter college kids and families. The place is pet friendly but there are additional charges and limits (I.e. 2cats). We were looking to buy a home in the last year but being honest with our situation - I have a young, special needs child -we found staying here works for us. Expenses are controlled and we don't have to worry if the roof needs replacing or the washer/dryer goes out. This is the right place for us at this time. We were living on the 3rd floor and carrying her, as she grew, was becoming difficult and unsafe. Management worked with us to get into a 1st floor, handicap-friendly apartment. Their compassion is another reason we stayed. Stuff like that matters to me. Overall, it's clean, safe, and fairly quiet place that can definitly feel like home.
