I was very interested in the home until I spoke to a guy this morning about my inquiry. He was not knowledgeable of the property but just kept pressing me to apply without answering my questions. He just had a non-chalant tone and didn't care. The property looks really good though. But, it still looks like their in need of new management. That's all it took for me to discontinue my search with them. It sounds like they're just trying to fill up space and don't really value any future tenant.

I moved out from my apartment 3 weeks ago . Now they have taken my security deposit because of charges that are not true. I have emailed and went to the office and no help. They sent me Ledger through email and i went to the office Asking carli to explain it to me and she would not. She said i just need to go though it . They are saying i owe for carpet cleaning and 2 spots to be cleaning and gonna charge me 135 dollars. I ask to go back into the apartment to see these spots they were talking about and take pics and they would not let me. I ask for the receipts for the carpet cleaning and they will not give me those and Carli also said that the carpet has not been cleaned yet. I ask to speak to the manager that walked in while i was in the office. And she would not speak to me she went and hide in the back room. I am being charge for water charges that was never was brought up will i lived there. I was never late on my rent and the water bill was add to the rent. Which i paid every month. I have tried to talk to these people all week all they wanted to do was say i owe money and not explain anything. They have bad customer service . Plus while i was living there i had a loud person living above me that nothing was ever done about that either. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! You will have trouble with them . I wish i never lived there . And then on top of that what the internet says is Corporate is not Corporate!!

This place is so great, the office staff is unbelievably helpful and sweet. They really made the decision easy when looking for an apartment. Good customer service is hard to come by these days and they’ve got it!

I like that 535 Brookwood is an established property with attractive exteriors and landscaping. The high ceilings and crown moldings make my apartment feel like a home and not a box. My neighbors have been respectful and I feel safe when I am out walking my dog. 535 Brookwood is also conveniently located for my life (work, shopping, leisure). The property management staff have been great to work with.
I have been living here for four years and enjoy living here. The Staff is nice and professional and the grounds on the property are kept in great shape. I highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone moving to the Greenville area, who wants to live a little bit out of town but still be close to Greenville.

Property is well kept. Maintenance respond fast for any repairs. People in office are friendly and willing to listen to any problems you have and find a solution fast.

I love my apartment. It?s so spacious and inviting. The people who live in this neighborhood are all very friendly and the majority of pet parents are responsible when walking and cleaning up after their pets. I have had few problems since I moved in 6 months ago, all of which were easily fixed by maintenance while I was at work. The office staff is inviting and the neighborhood events are well planned. After moving every year for 7 years I am glad to have found a place where I feel comfortable staying long-term.
I?ve lived at Brookwood since July 2013. It?s been quiet for the most part and I?ve had little issues within those 6 years.
This is a high-quality apartment community for what I pay per month. I've been here 2 1/2 years and have had little to complain about. Maintenance issues have not been common, but I've always been impressed with how quickly they're resolved.
I feel safe. It is very close to all the places I need to go. My apt is up to date, except for the carpet; it was completely worn out when I moved in. I love the open layout and all the windows. I love how Janice is always helpful and has all the answers. I love how we are informed of what is happening in the community and how we are made aware of issues such as car break-ins. I love the outdoor fireplace, gym, grilling area, the dog parks, and I?m really looking forward to relaxing by the pool this summer. The apts aren?t crammed together, there is lots of wide open space. Every resident I?ve met in the past four months has been super nice and helpful. I LOVE living here!!
Very nice place to live just feel the parking area needs more lights at night....a little to dark for me other than that everything is OK parking can be a problem at times especially during the holidays when people have company that takes up our parking Wish every apt had one place to park.....so many apts have 2 people which means 2 cars.
I feel safe, the property is well maintained and neighbors are nice and friendly. The maintenance crew come in a timely manner and fix any issues I've had. The apartment itself is nice and well kept.
Safe, responsive staff, quiet surroundings except for the outdoor heat pump. Don't rent an apartment next to a outdoor heat pump if you want to sleep well.
I love this small community in a quiet setting. Staff is wonderful and accommodating.
DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU HAVE A PET!!! sure they have great big dog parks, and allow any breed, but if anyone says anything about your pet, even if its a lie, they will believe it and they will kick out YOUR DOG. NOT YOU!, You will still be hold to the lease!!!, you just have to give up your dog to the pound because they said so. They dont even bother with discussing the claims with you, they just up and give you 48hrs to remove the pet. But you are still hold to the lease. And then... when you are trying to come to terms with them, they NEVER ANSWER YOU!. You can call, and call and email everyone, but they will still not respond. Really poor management. The person across the hall from me hated dogs, and started saying these lies that got my DOG kick out. A pure breed BORDER COLLIE that belongs to my autistic son.

We rented here bc they were the only ones to take Great Danes (totally awesome!). While the place is beautiful, we had nothing but issues. First one was a HUGE deal for a family with small children and who don't smoke (son has asthma and it got really bad being here) was that our main bath smelled like an ashtray and smoke ALL the time. So our family of five that was paying for two baths was down to one (horrible). Next, our upstairs neighbors were chain smokers, which made our patio unusable and made our outdoor furniture disgusting. NOTHING was done to try to stop it (the smoke itself, not necessarily the people) or make being there any better. Just shoulder shrugs and the offer of a hepa air filter for the furnace (I have dogs so I already bought our own and it did nothing for the cigarette smoke). And to top it off when we had to break the lease early bc of our sons health issues we were charged outrageous fees. So if you smoke or don't care about smelling like an ashtray then this is the place for you. Just bring your ear plugs bc you can hear EVERYTHING!!!! Not to mention your water bill isn't your water bill, it's everyone in your building pooled together and spilt evenly. We were NOT told about that when we signed the lease. Bethel schools was pretty much the only other perk to living here.

This is the perfect apartment complex to be in if you want to be in the Simpsonville/Greenville area also want a more quiet area. It is close enough to local shopping centers yet far enough to avoid crazy traffic. The complex is very well maintained on the outside. Grass is always green and the neighbors are so nice! The insides are amazing. Newly renovated. Very pet friendly complex.

Lovely floorplans and attractive apartments! But management does nothing to address or correct tenant concerns. Our AC went out six times and every time we requested service management brushed us off despite it being 90 degrees outside! Absolutely nothing got fixed and we were treated like outsiders instead of tenants that paid on time every month. We had black mold growing in the AC closet due to the water leaking from the AC being messed up. This is unacceptable and hazardous! Also the amenities would be great if they worked. The fireplace never worked!
I've been very happy living at 535 Brookwood. My kids and I love the pool and playground. I love the location and I feel very safe here. The on-site officer quickly dealt with the one apartment noise complaint I ever had.
It is truly esthetically beautiful.It has beautiful pool.
