Property Ratings at MAA Radius
had a few hiccups during our move in process but Brittany and Mallory were amazing with communicating with us and helping us along the way in getting into our new apartment and even giving my roommate advice on how he should setup his room. All around great service and plan to stay for as long as I can

Hello, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help!
Save your money and move somewhere else. Read the reviews, everyone has the same problems, constant hvac problems. A/C goes out for days even weeks at a time yet you'll get charge a hvac fee. Smart key door locks malfunctions, if you ever forget you hard key you'll get lock out. If the office is close you're out of luck. They'll refer you to their locksmith but if he doesn't feel like coming then theres nothing you can do. Fees on top of more fees. If you ever have a problem and want to speak to corporate good luck they'll never call you or return your calls. Don't get fooled with the fake 5 star reviews.

Lived here for two months and that is how long I have been waiting for maintenance and management to correct and repair said items. Maintenance never respond to repair request. When I moved in the walls were dirty ( not painted) in all rooms except the living room. Paint all over the floor in living room and hall. Previous owner had a large dog and it scratched up the door facing in the balcony. Asked for it to be painted and balcony floor power washed. I am still waiting. Garbage disposal smells and my work request is still pending. Can’t wait until my lease is up.

Hi, we appreciate your positive review about your recent experience with us! We are always more than happy to assist you if anything else comes up. Take care!
After living at Radius for two years, it became apparent that property management at the complex level (primarily the Property Manager, as the other two office staff have left and been replaced at least twice), needs additional training in customer service, leadership, and communication. Something routinely said by former residents is that management and maintenance have difficulty following the timelines they establish, enforcing policies/regulations (to include, but not limited to, illegal drug use and illegal parking on site), and communicating in a proper and timely manner with residents. Even working with corporate to resolve situations shows that the complex staff and corporate are not on the same page. The complex itself is nice on the outside but the apartments were constructed shoddily and using incorrect installation methods, which management and maintenance have acknowledged but have been dealing with as they come up instead of being proactive. Additionally, as a "pet friendly" complex, they have routinely failed to demonstrate that fact by creating issues with residents with animals while the same complaints are being submitted towards residents without animals; whereas the complaints regarding residents without animals go unaddressed. As well as the "dog park" that is continuously becoming less pet friendly (ex. removing majority of grass and placing gravel).

The staff is very accommodating and I feel safe living here.
I am very happy living at this property. It is very safe and well maintained, both inside and outside the buildings. The management is very responsive and helpful to tenants. The location is excellent since it is near major highways and thoroughfares and many cultural venues and shopping areas. The maintenance staff is excellent and very responsive and knowledgeable.
Amazing! Office staff is great and maintenance staff is great. No complaints about anything. Everything is done in a timely fashion. Would recommend anyone to live here.
My wife and I are grateful for the hospitality and great service here at Radius Apartments. The maintenance team is very professional and provide exceptional prompt service. We look forward to upcoming community events that makes us fell welcomed and apart of a bigger family.
Quiet, clean, safe, well managed and maintained by a professional staff.
In the year that I've been at Radius Apartments I've had a wonderful experience so far. The property managers are helpful and quick to respond to requests and inquiries. They keep us up to date with any issues or events that are happening in the complex. The maintenance staff ensures that any requests are taken care of quickly and efficiently. When I moved into my apartment I was pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and appliances. Everything looked well maintained. The one thing that I did notice about the building was it lacks emergency lighting in the hallways and stairs. We were without electricity for a couple of days during the summer and the hallways were pitch black. The door to the stairwell had to be open in order for us to see some part of the way down the hall. Overall I'm really very satisfied with my experience at Radius Apartments but the safety issue with emergency lighting made it a 4-star review instead of 5.
While living at radius in every experienced any problems at all. It was very quiet and the management was always helpful and ready to assist. The apartments stayed in the best condition.
I absolutely love everything about Radius EXCEPT the new HVAC procedures. I have been here since 2016. I hope the HVAC issue can be resolved so the residents have control over their own units again.
In general the experience has been good except for one shooting incident and failures on the HVAC system
I have really enjoyed my experience. Quite building, courteous staff and professional maintenance.
I have rented from 5 different places since graduating college and this is by far the worst. They pretend they're your best friend until it's move out time and they charge you crazy amounts. If you have a pet especially, run far far away. They'll blame any tiny thing they find on pet damage and charge you through the nose. Don't make the mistake I made.

When we moved in 2015 this complex was amazing. It was sold 6 months later and the new management company almost immediately changed it for the worse. You can see it in the reviews too, when we moved in almost EVERY review was 5 stars! They have since plummeted to mediocre at best. The priority shifted from providing a great experience and unparalleled level of quality that their residents were paying for to an emphasis on squeezing every dime they could out of tenants. For example: monthly trash fee was doubled, added a mandatory pest control fee $7/mo, you're FORCED to pay a statement fee to see how much you owe each month for rent!!! Its $0.95 for an eStatement or $4.95 for paper. Things like this should be included in rent, not levied onto resident. I assume it is so they can advertise a lower rent and recoup their cost with tenant fees. The lease changed too, it turned into a blanket lease used as an excuse to retain the security deposit and upgrade the apartment with the previous tenant's money. Unfortunately I was not in a position to move at the time and naively believed them when they said not too worry because the list of charges was more of a "cleaning guide". The facilities and amenities are fantastic with great finishes and appliances in the units, low noise levels, great location, and awesome club house/gym/pool, etc. However even though this these thing are still there, it all started to erode once new management took over. Things don't get fixed or done as quickly and quality amenities are falling off. Overall my experience was actually good but the fees, lack of attention to details, and poor move out experience really soured me and left a bad taste in my mouth. I like the staff here; super friendly and helpful but the policies they are forced to implement are just bad. I'd consider myself to be a great tenant and have never had an issue getting back a security deposit in full; but MAA is the epitome of predatory property management and a plague on the rental industry.Their policies forced me into buying a house earlier than planned just to get out but now I could not be happier to never have to rent again. I can't recommend this complex. 18 months ago I was raving about how excited we were to live at Radius and how great it was. Ever since MAA took over I stopped recommending it because I just no longer felt the price was justified. I will not ever live at or recommend an MAA property in the future, no matter how nice it is.
I love my Radius community and the people I have met there have been amazing. I live having the trash shoot on my floor, having an elevator, my own water heater, large dog park. Definitely have some major issues. New cleaning staff is very unprofessional; the grounds has trash everywhere; dog park hasn't been mowed and it is impossible to clean up after your pet appropriately; maintenance only does bandaid repairs so issues persist; constantly threatening you with fines in monthly posted news letter; after a young lady (maybe about 8 years old) with downs syndrome had an accident in the pool the following month's newsletter has a "reminder" to have your children in diapers to prevent accidents... I found that to be tacky and insensitive; staff shares personal information (this happened to me personally and as far as I know I am the only one to have it happen to...but once it's too many); recently increased rent by 8% (I've heard of rent raises up to 3% @ most but 8%!!!??); when increasing rent, no additional amenities offered and previous amenities taken away. Waiting to see how they handle our process of moving out... will post additional review to follow up.
Do NOT move here! Recently these apartments were sold by Drucker & Falk to MAA. Before when Drucker & Falk owned the property I would have given an amazing review, but since MAA has acquired these apartments things have been terrible. The main reason we moved here was because the place was very pet friendly and they had a guest suite for family and friends. Since the new ownership, doggie clean up bags are never refilled and they no longer take care of the dog park. They also got rid of the guest suite. Luckily, my husband got new orders for the military and we had to break our lease. We expected to have to replace our carpets due to our dog having accidents, but we never imagined how much a hassle it would be dealing with this company. We turned in our keys Aug 23, 2015. We called weekly to see if they could give us the estimate. Half the time they didn't answer their phones in the office. We finally got a statement 9/30/2015 in the mail for $758.99 (not counting all the fees they added on that our security deposit covered). We repeatedly asked for a receipt from the carpet replacement company, all emails pertaining to that went unanswered. On 10/9/2015 I got a 2nd statement in the mail from Radius saying they had made an error in the carpet replacement charge. The amount was $523.89. They still had not emailed us with any of the receipts we asked for just sent the new statement without a word. My husband called the same day we got the 2nd statement to verify the amount this time was correct and they said everything was correct. Today 10/13/2015, I received a letter from a debt collection company saying my husband and I owe $758.99 to Radius. Upon talking to the debt collection company I was told Radius hired them 10/1/2015 that is 1 day after I got the 1st statement in the mail. 1 day to pay charges that we had called and tried to dispute with Radius. Radius never mentioned any of this when my husband called 10/09/2015. We are now fighting the debt company to prove we don't owe $758.99 but $523.89. We have filed a claim with our rental insurance (10/9/2015) since they cover $500 with of pet damages. Here we are only 5 days after the 2nd statement (proving their error) was sent to us dealing with our rental insurance company, Radius, MAA Corporate, and now a debt collection agency. Radius will attempt to rip you off! Beware and make sure to ask for receipts if the carpet needs replace!
When I moved in thought it would be a great and secure place to live because it was new and had a high dollar security system. but after living here have found that the security system doesn't work and the amenitites and staff isn't like how they sold me.
I am renting a one bedroom on the third floor. It has plenty of space for a bachelor like myself or for a couple. The bedroom is very big with sufficient room for a California King bed, nightstands dresser, and television. Plenty of closet space even if you have a fair most of stuff like me. The bathroom is plenty big with a large mirror and sink, one of my favorite things is the hotel style shower curtain rod. The kitchen with the stainless steel appliances looks really nice with enough countertop room for all of my gadgets and then some. Including a double deep sink. The only downfall is freezer space. The refrigerator is big with a double door but the freezer side is lacking a little. The living room is very large with a floor to ceiling type doors leading to the balcony. It is decently sized for a couch and a recliner, a large television and a computer desk but with my lifestyle that can become a little crowded. I haven't tried a sectional couch but I don't know if that would be functional. I live on the third floor and I have a very nice view one side I have a park and the other the town. It is not too noisy(definetly tolerable specially because of the outstanding insulation) The community is very nice and well kept. With a very nice pool area, They are pet friendly so if you have a pet your buddy can have plenty of friends when tough to the dog park in the property. The staff is courteous and very understanding and they do their best to ensure you have good living conditions. I'm giving Radius four stars out of five . Because it is slightly more expansive than the surrounding area but you get what you pay for.
