The buildings are old and the complex is built on a slope. This means the building is uneven and even the ground floor is uneven because it is not a concrete slab foundation. There are lots of cats living under the buildings bringing bugs. Security issues in the complex because it is not gated. The mailboxes have been broken into 3 times in the last year. And they have been left broken for 2 months. Cars left unlocked get searched at night by people looking to steal.

Worst management. Even for replacing a light tenant is responsible. Reason is when signed for lease lights are working ??. They are hiking rents crazily and poor maintenance.

I've never written a review before but I can't in good conscience not leave a review. I'm also a real estate broker and I would hate to not warn people. This apartment specifically building 1207 unit F had so many roaches it was ridiculous. I would see at least 15 roaches a day especially in the kitchen. I'm a very clean person but I think it was the neighbors in the building that kept them present. The only way I could get rid of them was with diatomomonus earth which is a powder I sprinkled around the apartment. There is no way that we should have gotten charged for pest control but the pest never left. They would be in the stove everytime I turned it on crawling last the time screen. I never wanted to have company it was just disgusting.

The pictures are deceiving. (I can't speak for the other buildings, but this one is built on a tilt.) This place is extremely overpriced for what is actually offered. Granted, the floors plans are excellent, the neighborhood is safe, and it's in an excellent school district. Just don't expect high quality finishes.

This place is good if you're a insect researcher, don't have to go to Amazon you'll see all sorts and size of bugs everywhere, for me it's disgusting, and you'll pay for paste control every month, very loud air-conditioning units just outside of bedroom window, time to time you'll pay extra 30-40 dollars for some excuse, just don't do it.

STAY AWAY! Ants, and cockroaches all over the place, even if you complaint they don't care. Like other reviewers said High Degree of IRRESPONSIBILITY @front office people. I would give them zero star if I could. Tip: Please don't move here. Productive day life comes from Quality sleep, because of the ants, and cockroaches i am not able to sleep properly.

Pest control problem. Get ready to live with roaches. The community seems to think track goes on the ground around the dumpster and not in it. The few maintenance men there are, are extremely overworked and under paid. Tried to use the free printing they offer and they are out of ink. Don’t know when they will get it. Gym is never in good shape. Not sure what they offer here that is actually nice. Wish they would spend the money repainting on stuff we could actually enjoy and utilize.

Too many additional fees - expect $100 on top of the rent each month. state-of-the-art fitness center - It would be nice if any of the treadmills actually worked and maintained. Manditory $50 per month on top of rent (MMA Connect invisible fee). Pest control - I have found roaches, mice, ticks, ants, and things i cant describe. I had to call pest control every month and i was still afraid to sit on the balcony because of insect bites. Manditory $9 per month on top of rent. Parking - Good luck finding a spot after dark.

The only positive thing about this property is that it is in las colinas and near a lovely park. Other than that this place is a dump! There are a ton of hidden fees, unkempt dumpsters, with trash spilling over, roaches and tons of stray cats that fight all day and make loud noises. I have recently discovered mice. This place is much to expensive for the quality of service you get. They will also constantly raise your rent. Don't do it!

This apartment complex is terrible!!!! Save your time and your energy and move down the street to any other apartments! First of all, look at how many available apartments are listed! They cant keep people in these things because the customer service is horrible! My neighbors moved out months ago, and their apartment is still vacant. My mailbox has been broken into 3 different times! That is 3 times too many. At this point i am having my mail held at the post office, and i have to go and get it a few times a week. The mail area is secluded, so its easy for thieves to break into the mail boxes and steal your W2s, and any other important mail. They also have a bad habit of turning the water off for days at a time, and expecting you and your children to just deal with it. I have had pest control leave my door unlocked. The worst part about everything that im saying is that no one is concerned or cares enough to fix any of the issues going on. When you go into the office to state your issue or complaint, they arent the slightest bit concerned. The way that Remington Hills operates is just purely unacceptable. The only thing that is good about this apartment is the location. But there are several other apartments in the area. GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A COMPANY THAT CARES ABOUT ITS RESIDENTS.

There are 3 major highways and, Walmart, Target, Kroger and Whole Foods a lot of restaurants. The neighborhood is relatively quiet. The staff is nice and maintenance can be hit or miss. I’ve had them fix things timely, sometimes they take months. The apartment complex is low-grade updated, the lighting and color scheme has a depressing feel. They have dumpsters and not trash compactors. The first thing I see when I walk out of my unit is a nasty, many times over flowing trash dumpster.

Great location....crappy apartment. I just moved here last week. The first place they put me in 1) looked nothing like what they showed me 2) was infested with roaches. I told them about it the same day I moved in (Saturday) and they basically told me oh well pest control won't come out until Thursday and if we move you to a clean/non infested place I would have to pay more in rent. They ended up moving me to a smaller apt that I like better but it was such a hassle to get placed into a clean. Apt. DON'T MOVE HERE ( this was a month ago) I just received a message from someone they moved into the unit below the infested on and it is still indeed infested.

Man, where to begin???? Literally the day I moved in I open the door and get punched in the face by a disgusting odor. Then I notice all the cracks in the walls, and I get to the kitchen and there's literally bumps on the sink countertop. I put down a bottle of wine and it slid. The same thing happened with my mugs that I put in the cupboard. I have pictures of Asbestos growing out of all the vents. Absolutely caked on, and I've only lived here for three months. It is disgusting, foul, and management is atrocious. The swimming pool wasn't open the other day when it was 95°, and you look in and see nothing but dirty leaves and yellow water. So moot point, I guess. This place is foul from top to bottom. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!! Anybody else have asbestos problems here??? Oh, and yes, I did send them a note about the mold and asbestos, and of course they don't respond.

I do not write reviews regularly. What motivated me to write this review was the awful experience of living in this apartment and not wanting anyone else to experience this without a forewarning of what to expect. I have a newborn child and I had to demand immediate termination of my lease because I refused to allow my child to breathe the air this apartment produced. The first thing I noticed when I moved in is that the ac vent was filthy, as if it had never been cleaned; it was covered with dust and particles that seem to have been there for ages. The dryer filter was also disgusting. It was covered with lint, body hair, and who knows what else. The carpet needs to be replaced. It has to be the original carpet from the original tenants. When you walk on the carpet you can feel the hardness from the dirt and soil that has collected over the years. I don't cook, nor am I messy, however I have experienced roaches inside the apartment on several occasions, and recently, days prior to demanding immediate termination of my lease, I saw them crawling through the windows from the outside. Even worse and more frightful is that between the walls you can hear something crawling or walking around. I have never, to be honest, seen a mouse in the apartment, however I am fearful to say that I believe what I heard between the walls are mice. I highly suggest not to choose this apartment and repeat the unpleasant experience that I have been though.
Remington Hills is one of the most reasonably-priced apartment complexes in Las Colinas, especially for the size of the apartments. It's within walking distance of a well-maintained park and nearby restaurants, and a short drive from several major highways that run through the heart of Dallas. The residents are generally friendly, but mostly keep to themselves. The complex's management seems largely disinterested in its maintenance and residents' satisfaction, and are often slow and uncooperative in handling residents' problems. The two pools and gym and clubhouse are often dirty; trash litters the sidewalks and parking lots; and many apartments and apartment buildings look old and unkempt. While management generally respond to service requests in a few days, they seem content to take a look at the problem and leave it unfixed for the resident to deal with. As a result, many apartments are left with broken windows, persistent leaks, and useless electrical outlets. This is a decent place to live for someone looking for an inexpensive, spacious apartment in Las Colinas, but management leaves a great deal to be desired.
My apartment is awesome the community is great. Its near 3 major high ways and the shopping is great.it's a multi racial mixed middle to upper middle class neighborhood. apartment are nice. i have had no problems while living here
I've lived at these apartments for 2 years and am moving out at the end of my lease. While we've been here the apartment management has changed and I would say its for the better. The current company had their kinks at first, but they have been very pleasant lately. The buildings themselves though are just old and in desperate need of foundation repair. We lived on the third floor and a door shutting on the first floor would shake our entire apartment. The management, to their credit, have notified the complex that they are rolling out foundation repair. I'm not sure how they're prioritizing it but if there were buildings worse than ours then that is crazy. Maintenance was always prompt and most of the time left a note in the living room letting us know they were there. Never really had any problems, except ants. Pest control comes out every Wednesday but only if you ask for it. The area is nice and quiet mostly. Lots of families in the complex. If we get another ice storm then good luck with getting out of here safely in your car. The lot/sidewalks are not salted ever and the entrance to most of the lots is uphill. Overall, I enjoyed my time here but I do really hope that the management company works a bit faster to do the needed repairs and keep up with the age of the buildings.
