Property Ratings at MAA South Line
I’ve been living here for about 3 months now, and everything is pretty solid. Living on the light rail side makes the apartment really quiet except for Friday and Saturday nights, but the noise doesn’t bother me since I’m not normally home those nights. There have been some initial maintenance requests that have taken months to get fixed. It seems like they’re just understaffed since it take up to a month to get a maintenance request fully finished.

Hello there, we appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback. If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help!
There's always dog poop in the hallways. Fire alarms are always going off in the middle of the night to the point where nobody even leaves the building because they know it's a false alarm. They make you pay of this locker system for your packages, then just let the packages sit unattended in the mail room. The best part is half the lights and signs are broken in the hallways, so there's just garbage and loose wires everywhere that isn't the first floor leading to the model apartment. Tow trucks also block the exit/entrance all the time.

This place is the worst. The fire alarm has gone off every week and often in the middle of night. Neighbors blasting music until 4am. Dog poop and pee in the halls weekly. Residents throw up in the elevator. People smashing glass bottles outside on the sidewalk where dogs walk getting glass in the dogs paws. Don’t bother with this place. Trying to move as soon as we can.

Beer cans and trash is constantly all over lobbies and hallways, not to mention all the broken glass from car break ins that in the parking deck. If you also value your sleep- don’t waste your time here. Neighbors enjoy blasting music for everyone in the complex to hear until 3am/4am. An absolute garbage place to “live”.

The only thing going for this apartment complex is it's location. There are empty beer cans/bottles and trash everywhere all of the time, the trash rooms are always filled with trash because either A) the trash chute gets clogged by some inconsiderate person or B) the compacter isn't emptied regularly, the courtyards are littered with dog poop, and in my courtyard at least they haven't replaced the poop bags or emptied the trash can in almost two weeks if not longer so the entire courtyard smells disgusting. My ceiling leaked and it took them three weeks for them to send someone to fix it after they promised it would be done within a week. They didn't respond to my contacts but didn't hesitate to send me an email attempting to fine me for my renter's insurance being expired (it wasn't). The common lounge was closed from mid December until May 18th when we were told it would be done the second week in February. The pool is typically dirty and was closed for two weeks randomly at the beginning of this season. The gates leading to the courtyards are consistently broken. There are many other places in South End that are much nicer and better prices so if you are considering living here I would STRONGLY suggest that you look around at literally every single other possible option first before signing a lease here.

Do you love partying like you’re 20 years old and littering like it’s your job? Are you looking to live with over 100 adults who have no respect for their neighbors? Do you crave a whif of barf on a Sunday morning in your hallway? Then post south end is your castle. Post south end has a pretty sweet location on the light rail and has ramen and crepes in the same building as you live. Other than that though, there’s not that many pros. The hallways are filled with stains, the courtyards are filled with poop, and the apartments themselves are low quality compared to others at their price point (I’d recommend junction 1504, midtown 205, one305 central, or post gateway). It takes at least 3 requests with maintenance to get anything done. The girls in the main office don’t appear to enjoy their jobs and love to use the phrase “I’m the only one here today so you should come back tomorrow” at which time they will once again be the only one there. There are 0 trash cans at the facility other than the trash chutes and the specimens that live here love to litter the hallways with their busch light and little caesars pizza. You can expect to find marsh gra beads, bow ties, and dog pee in the hallways at least 3 nights a week. The exit sign in my hallway was broken for 2 months and despite my 3 requests was not fixed until after we moved out. There was barf at the entrance from the garage to my floor for months. It slowly corroded away with my self respect living in this place. People drive through the garage like they’re about to join the cast of fast and furious. In my 6 months there were at least two accidents in the garage. Parking is not monitored as anyone can park within the gates without a sticker so good luck finding parking after 7 pm. The arm to the security gate was broken the entire 6 months I live there. I suppose they didn’t see a reason to fix it as the degenerates would get drunk the next day and proceed to break it again but as I pay monthly rent for upkeep, this drove me partially mad. The courtyards reek of urine and are piled with dog poo. This is partially because the people that live here, as states before, have no respect for anyone else but also because of the lack of trashcans and dog pick up bags. The fountains are a beautiful swamp green. The pool is fine but attracts the kind of people who still “ice” one another at age 25. In conclusion. Don’t do it. You’re better than this.
RUN!! NEVER RENT here! RUDE STAFF! This is the worst company ever. There are much nicer places in the area that are a lot better, especially at this price. A friend told me about her bad experience but the apartments looked so nice, I tried it anyway. BAD IDEA! The staff is very unprofessional. Good luck if ANYTHING goes wrong. There are much nicer places in the area that are a lot better, especially at this price.

Our team works hard to provide the best customer service, and to ensure every residents' experience is enjoyable. That said, we are always seeking to improve. Your comments and feedback alert us to things that we need to change, and it is greatly appreciated. If you’d like to continue this conversation, please contact us at 866-620-1130.
The Post at Sout End property is great for young professionals. The building is full of many people in their twenties and thirties and there's always something going on in the area. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars nearby and the property staff is really helpful. Apartment floor plans are fairly spacious and have a modern taste to them. The only downside that I've found with this property is that there are often some irresponsible neighbors who have no problem leaving their empty beers around or knocking down the parking garage gate or exit signs. Luckily the property staff are quick to address these issues.
The complex smells horrible, pool is never cleaned, gate to parking deck is always broken, staff isn't too friendly, cars get broken into. I don't know why anyone would pay this much to live here.
