Property Ratings at MAA Sunset Valley
I have lived at the Grand Reserve in 2 different buildings for a little over 4 years now - & I love it. I love the location - everything I'll ever need is within a 4/5 block radius & even though it's right in the middle of town off Brodie, it remains to be quiet and tucked away in a little nook surrounded by the woods/greenbelt which I and my dog absolutely love. I have yet to engage with the new office staff much, but I have loved and gotten to know most of the office staff prior and they have always been awesome, but I wanted to leave a review to shout out specifically to the maintenance staff, Randall & Liam - & the rest of their crew (I'm sure I've waved but haven't gotten yall's names). I know even before Covid & the freeze they lost a few of their staff and for a while it was mostly just these two guys handling the majority of the entire property and maintenance requests. Even still, I feel they have always remained kind and prompt with my requests and even taught me a few things! When they are backed up or behind they have always communicated efficiently to let me know when they'll be able to make it out to help me, considering I know they have to prioritize by importance. The last few times I've run into them they've said hello and apologized for being a bit behind in orders or property upkeep so I just wanted to leave a review to acknowledge the maintenance crew because we (referring to most of the residents) should be thanking them for staying around and putting in the hard work they've had to do in this heat, snow, pandemic, etc. and I'm sure at times, had to remain professional with upset residents - but they continue to work hard, go down their to do list, and remain friendly anytime I see them. So thank you guys! I appreciate all the work you do for us and for the office! You all are awesome! - Lyssa & Dom

Love the location. It's close to great restaurants, shopping, gas stations, and everything in between. Office staff have been very helpful and also quick to respond to issues when first moving into my apartment. The community is quiet and safe. I would give this community five stars.
Everything has been great! Maintenance is always quick. I wish there were more lights around the complex at night.
I LOVE the staff, apartment, neighbors and location. Ammentities are wonderful. Would love to have a night time security detail because of 10+ car buglaries
I've lived at Grand Reserve for 2.5 years now and am truly sad to be leaving (but have to due to relocation for a job). The front office is friendly and quick to help with any questions, and is great about receiving and holding packages for you. Maintenance is friendly, fast, and always leaves your apartment just as clean as when they entered. While there has been turnover in staff the past few months, I haven't noticed any negative changes in the quality of service living here. The location of these apartments are perfect. If you're looking for walkability, these are wonderful as all of the Sunset Valley shops are across the street, as well as a few trails. It's also easy to get to major highways, with 290, I-35, and Mopac all just down the street. The apartments are well maintained and parking is pretty abundant. I've never had to park very far from my building, most times being able to park right in front of it. The only negative I've had while living here were bugs the first few weeks. I had an issue with large roaches getting into my apartment, but once I contracted with an outside pest control company to treat my apartment, it was no longer a problem. I would highly recommend these apartments for anyone looking for a place to live close to south or central Austin!
I absolutely love our property and its in an amazing location. The one thing I cant stand about our property is the fact my car has been broken into twice. I am not the only resident this has happened to. I will say if they had a security service patrolling through the night, I'm sure less of that would happen.
I have lived here for almost 10 years and hope to make it my forever home. The property is always well maintained, the office and management staff are personable and attentive, and the maintenance crew is knowledgeable, polite, and quick to respond.

This is my second year of residency at this location. I consider my experience to have been a good one. The neighborhood is very convenient, everything is accessible and travel from this location is also convenient. The servie and maintenance of the property is very efficient, fast and the people are responsive.
