Trinity Park is defined by fun -- this is the location of the PNC Arena, the Carter-Finley Stadium, and the NC State Fair. It is also home to the Centennial Biomedical Campus, the JC Raulston Arboretum, and the J.S. Dorton Arena. Trinity Park is one of Raleigh's most vibrant neighborhoods, located roughly five miles northwest of Downtown Raleigh.
Sports fans appreciate having the PNC Arena in the neighborhood -- and so do concert-goers. The PNC Arena is home to the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes and the NC State Wolfpack basketball team, but it also hosts special events, live music, and special performances. College football fans can head to Carter-Finley Stadium to cheer on the Wolfpack football team. The State Fair, held in the fall, features special events, live shows and music, and rides and games.

Property Ratings at MAA Trinity
I have been living here for 3 years now and this place keeps getting worse and worse. When I first moved in, they would have fun little activities and food trucks come by. Now, they don't come by at all, despite the fact that rent goes up every year. Like, where is that money going to??? Not for the apartments or the community. I moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom and it's the worst! Mold and water damage, MORE BUGS(which I didn't even know was possible), and the water and sewer bill increasing no matter what I do. I tried calling about the bill but they say there is nothing they can do and now I'm struggling cause rent is higher than what I agreed on. Dont even get me started on traffic during events at pnc, which is every other week. If my job wasn't right down the street, i would be gone. Listen to the reviews. Don't come here. You can get far better for the same price somewhere else. Save the heartache.

Pictures are not at all what this place looks like. They make extra money by towing cars by changing lease rules without notifying tenants. Lease was signed and unexpired sticker was given and 8 months later car was towed.300$ ***move in day apartment had living roaches, blood, nasty hairs & blood in shower, in cabinets, the place was FILTHY!! Apartment manager took a look and said we will give each roomamte 25$ off next months rent. Spent over 100$ for cleaning products etc!! There was sticky blood in kitchen on floor. I have videos and photos to back up this post. Also the 3rd floor cement on patio was cracked and rail was very loose! The cement is not level. The bldg is rotting with broken rotted barrier walls holding up stairwell. Take a look around and ask around. This place is a dump! Moving out after 1 year. They will make up for tenants leaving by towing tenants cars! FILTHY DIRTY and they could care less. Also in one year filters were NEVER changed they were nasty and it cost 37$ to order special filters. Our expense. Also no yrly bug spraying (even though they claim they offer this & garbage drop is near entrence of complex. Big inconvenience. Ceiling in apt is wet and falling in. Just another thing in addition to what a dump this place is!

Look elsewhere and save your money as well as your sanity. Rent here is sky high for a basic apartment where you can actually rent luxury elsewhere. Trash and dog poop all over the community.

Hello, it's upsetting to hear that you did not receive the top-notch service we strive to provide. We take your time seriously so please allow us 48 business hours to respond to your inquiry. Thank you.
Cockroaches galore in breezeway in warm weather. They come inside. I found one in my bed, on top of my pillow. Dog poop throughout complex. I counted 60 piles of poop on my walk, not including the whole grounds. Management doesn't enforce rules. Maintenance doesn't pick it up. Furnace filters are no longer replaced. I have black mold outside every vent in my apt. Maintenance did change filter on my request, leaving work order stating the black substance on my ceiling and walls was from burning candles. ??It's still there. Garbage compactor broke since before Christmas. Garbage flows over, animals scatter it. Looks more like projects than luxury. RUN!

Thank you for your candid feedback. Providing clean, comfortable, and attractive living facilities is our priority, so we are disappointed to read your comments. We are also disappointed to learn that some residents are not cleaning up after their pets or don't properly dispose of their trash. Based on your feedback, it sounds like policy reinforcement might be necessary. Your satisfaction is our priority, so we're always looking for ways to improve. Please contact our resident care line at 866-620-1130, so we can gather additional insight and share it with the respective team who can work on resolving your concerns. We look forward to hearing from you and making things right.
This community leaves a lot to be desired. The management team is adversarial and too busy to be bothered with residents. However, 75% of notices to enter your home are late. You are given less than 24 hours before they arrive. I have lived here a year and every month there is a problem with the trash compactor that results in you slinging kitchen trashbags 8 feet in the air to get them in a dumpster. Please keep in mind that residents pay for the privilege of slinging garbage over you head. On top of these regular occurrences, they towed the new car that I owed for less than 12 because it didn't have a sticker that they could not provide. When I informed them that I couldn't go to work or anywhere else until we resolved this, I was threatened with police involvement. I can understand calling the police if you feel unsafe but I asked her to call, text, or email the manager 3-4 times which she refused to do because it was the manager's day off. I felt like this was a scene from Facebook or YouTube. I pay an exorbitant amount of rent, nonetheless, the complex tows my new car without the proper signs and the staff threatens me with police intervention but still refused to contact the manager. I feel emotionally violated. You home should be sanctuary not a place of victimization.
In the year I’ve lived here I’ve had the most unpleasant experiences. Mail and packages stolen or misdelivered TWELVE times. Increase in rent based on “market value “given with 60 day notice but had to deal with weeks of unreturned phone calls and office visits before I was told the original manager I spoke with regarding keeping my rent the same quit. Still another two weeks of corporate office calls, and back and forth with the assistant manager before the matter was resolved. Rude and extremely unfriendly current management staff only one employee there is friendly and literally the sweetest woman in the world. You literally feel like you have to beg them to take any concerns seriously. Neighbors steal, go out of their way to use anything outside of your apartment that doesn’t belong to them and even though staff requests you come to them first before confronting any neighbors with issues they don’t do anything when you do.

Thank you for your feedback which alerts us to areas that we may need improve in our community. We are disheartened to read your concerns about lack of response by our team and allegations of stealing by neighbors. We do not condone illegal activity of any kind, and we are alarmed by your report. Please contact us at 866-620-1130 so we can further discuss these concerns and how to resolve them. We look forward to hearing from you.
Where do I start? Rude management team. They have way better things to do than help, with any maintenance request. Don't bother inviting friends over because they are all over towing someone's car whose been parked there for 10-15 mins.over priced for the age of the apartments. Have a friend who lives here who feels uncomfortable by the management that's a big problem. So instead I moved to the next apartment complex down and They are so much nicer and cheaper. Maintence men and man in office need a reality check on how to treat your people in your community.

We sincerely apologize for your unfortunate experience with our staff, as the satisfaction of our residents is our top priority here at Colonial Grand at Trinity Commons. Feedback like this helps us evaluate management and make improvements where necessary. If you would like to discuss our actions and these issues further, please come by the leasing office or call us at 866-620-1130.
I have lived here for two years. Lots of college students and recent grads seem to rent here since Carter Finley Stadium, PNC Arena, and the NC State Fairgrounds are within walking distance. College students equal noise and trash. The apartment complex's proximity to the aforementioned event venues is a great selling point but also makes traffic frustrating at times. The location is also within a short drive from downtown Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Durham, Cary, and RDU which is very convenient. The management team does not communicate well. I have walked to the pool or gym, on more than one occasion, only to find out that the pool or gym were closed or the grill was out of order. A simple email from management to the entire community would have saved me (and others) the trouble. During recent parking lot repaving, they sent out a nice, detailed repaving schedule. However, when weather caused delays, there was no follow up email. Parking lot sections were closed days after the schedule said they would be and that should have been communicated. The staff is very friendly and nice and they do address problems promptly but that is basic customer service that I would expect from a fry cook. If I am paying almost $950 per month for an old, worn out, dark, one bedroom apartment 15 minutes from downtown, management should proactively communicate to the community any changes to normal services. They raised rent by 10% after the first year. They charge a $50 Time Warner Cable (TWC) cable bill on top of rent that you cannot opt out of. Since moving here, TWC has changed the services that they offer twice. Now I must rent a digital cable box from TWC in order to access the cable that I am required to purchase. Mid Atlantic Apartments (MAA) is the parent company and, from talking to other people who have rented with them, this is par for the course. To me, they seem primarily concerned with squeezing every last penny from their properties. Rent is overpriced even for the area. The apartments are old but priced like the luxury apartments around the corner. I should have moved out last year. I will not be making the same mistake when my lease is up this year.
I have been living here for over a year and absolutely LOVE it! This is a quiet neighborhood and everyone I've encountered here from staff to residents has been pleasant. Also, no breed restrictions. Only complaint is that it's pricey but well worth it!
The apartment is very nice, and the prices are decent. The complex is fairly quiet, safe, and extremely dog friendly. It's a great place for college students and recent grads.
I've lived at this complex for about a month and it has been one of the best apartments I've lived in. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, there are pools and a pretty nice workout room on the property. Everyone is very nice, it's not far from NC State's campus, and it is a pet-friendly community with decent rent prices.
Main Pros: Location. Close to downtown Raleigh, but also near Cary. Very near to several large employers such as Wells Fargo. Good for young professionals. Community. Two pools, two clubhouses, social events, great area with tons of trees for shade. Main Cons: Confusing bill. Took awhile to get a straight answer on how much the full monthly bill would be, since they tack on a lot of extra charges. Ultimately worth it, but you won't be paying the sticker price.
The community at Colonial Grand at Trinity Commons is a wonderful place to live. It is in a perfect location, on the board of Cary and minutes for downtown Raleigh. The school for younger children are great some of the highest rated in the area and my children love it. The community has two pools, basketball court, tennis courts, gym and business center. Floor plans are spacious but I would rather some more closets and a little bigger kitchen area. In all we love living here.
You will hear the term "Water bugs" all the time for roaches. During the summer they are out in full force and can get quite annoying and disgusting. I have actually have had on two separate occasions them run across my forehead when I was sleeping. Joy and the maintenance crew are the only reason this place is tolerable. I will be moving next year.
