Property Ratings at MAA Village
I thought I had found the perfect apartment: the landscaping is beautiful, pet rent is cheaper that other places, washer and dryer in unit, fireplace, lake view... my only complain is that the fitness center is not open 24 hours. They open it at 8:00 AM (by which I have to be at work) so the sauna, cardio machines , and tanning bed can only be used 8AM-10PM. Also, management is... not great. I had to pay $50 in dog fees because someone said I didn’t pick up after my dog. When I complain and ask for the evidence, the never replied or got back to me with an answer.

since I have lived on the property , I have experienced nothing but positive things, from the grounds maintenance the clerical and management staff. well manicured grounds maintenance and work orders are usually taken care of the next day if not the same. The management team work together to make me feel as part of a family showing concern and that they value the-residents and not just another person paying rent.

It?s great, but can get pricey!
Thin walls, expensive heating as the furnace equipment is not meant to deal with temperatures below 30 degrees, $225 per month in January to keep the completely surrounded apartment to 65 degrees.
Overall, I really love the space here. Aesthetically, things are pleasing both inside my apartment unit and across the grounds, maintenance requests and questions with the front office have always been addressed in a very timely and appropriate manner, and all the staff I?ve interacted with have been really nice. One thing that I don?t love is that in the year and a half I?ve been here, rent has increased while amenities have decreased. So I?m literally paying more for less. There is no longer 24hr access to the gym (so now I have to pay for a gym membership because I can?t workout here at 8 and still make it to work on time) the hot tub was taken out, and the tennis court has been removed. I understand that the tennis court was replaced with a ?dog park,? but honestly I think the tennis court space was better. Residents used it for multiple purposes: makeshift dog park (and it was larger than the current one, so it gave pups more space), cricket practice, enclosed play area for kids, and occasionally tennis. I think it?s really unfortunate that we lost a multipurpose space to be replaced with something that only some residents have use for and have it billed as ?an improvement for residents?.
The office staff has been friendly and helpful!
I have been satisfied with living at the Village Apartments. The staff are delightful and maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. The grounds are clean and the landscaping is pleasing to the eye. Walks are peaceful in our own space.
Since we have lived here, our experience has been an awesome one. We truly enjoy the community, it is very friendly, comfortable and enjoyable!
The customer service that is received from the office staff and maintenance providers is very good and helpful. However, I think my neighbors in the upstairs apartment over my first floor one are noisy during quiet time. They also throw their outside trash down. At times, I think there are more people in the apt. then the number is allowed.

I absolutely love living at The Village! The apartments themselves are quiet spacious and the floor plans ensure that the rooms flow from one to the other. The outside of the buildings are well maintained as well as landscaping; the property is beautiful and clean! The staff are very accommodating and friendly. They have always been able to provide exemplary answers to any questions that have arisen and are up for friendly conversation if they are not busy. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that the beautiful pond attracts a lot of mosquitos but this issues is in the works to be resolved.
I have been here since 2010. My apartment is quiet and comfortable. The complex is in a very good area with shopping medical facilities and a bus stop nearby. The maintenance staff is very good.
Everyone has been super friendly and helpful. Any issues I have had has been addresses immediately and taken care of. I would definitely recommend to any and all of my friends.??
Staff is phenomenal! Grounds are always kept clean and maintained. All maintenance requests have been fulfilled in a timely manner.
I really love living in this apartment complex. The leasing office is great and very welcoming. Most of the time maintenance requests are completed within a days time. My only complaint is the mosquito and spider population around here.
Leasing office staff helpful & friendly. Area is clean. Seems safe; well lit. Wish the exercise room woild open earlier though.
We have lived here for almost 5 months and have loved every second of it. Very quiet and great upkeep. The staff is always very helpful and happy! We have loved it!

Management changed about a year ago and it's pretty bad now. They seem to be screwing everyone when moving out now! We moved in 3 years ago, been perfect tenants all the time, just moved out and delivered a perfect looking apartment AND opted into their $200 move out cleaning fee despite turning it in clean just to have a hassle free experience. Just got charged with almost $400 to replace the carpets! No stains, no rips, no anything, apparently they want to change the carpets IN THE ENTIRE apartment solely because of the normal discoloration of having a bed over a spot for 3 years in the master bedroom and somehow think this is our responsibility. Carpet wasn't even new when we moved in. Tried to reason w them and they wouldn't even budge. Some of our neighbors got charged for like $700 for carpets when they moved 6 months ago. I'd stay away. ...................... This is the move out side of it, if it wasn't for that I'd give it a 3. Maintenance team is excellent and requests are dealt with promptly but apartments are pretty old, some had roaches problems - luckily not ours- but we had mold problems and upper neighbor had water leaking to our bathroom. Space was nice but a bit expensive for what you get and location and amenities, they're basically non-existent, not sure if they still advertise hot tub- they were up to recently but it's no more-, pool is frequently out of business and outsiders are there ALL the time and no one say anything, fitness center flood often and the tennis court is un-even, lived there for 3 years and not once saw anyone use it for tennis, just kids running around. Many tenants don't clean after their pets too, again, nothing a deal breaker but you're certainly paying for stuff you're not getting, and the move out process was last straw, would never rent from any MAA property again as they don't seem to care, just check Google reviews for the last year this seems to be the running theme but no action has been taken to ameliorate the situation

Yesterday my husband called the leasing office around 2:00 to see if it would be possible to see a 2 bedroom apartment at a little after 5:00. Bobby in the leasing office told him no because they don't show apartments after 5:00. My husband explained that I work until 5:00, but I work close enough I can walk there and it would only be 5 minutes after 5:00 at the latest. Bobby still said no. My husband told him that he would call me and see if I could leave 5 or 10 minutes early from work. Bobby said, "as long as you're here before 5:00." The office doesn't even close until 6:00! Well I couldn't leave work early because I was the only one in the office. I called him myself when I left at 5:00 and asked if we could come today between 12 & 1 to see a 2 bedroom. He said yes that would be fine. I told him that it would be around 5 after 12 when we would be there and once again he said it was fine. He took my name, phone number and email address. My husband picked me up and we were at The Village at 12:03. There was NO ONE there! There was a "Be Back at 1:00" sign on the door. To say I am mad is an understatement! I cannot believe that someone working in an office and dealing with the public could be so unprofessional. Needless to say we will be looking elsewhere for an apartment.

We are so sorry to hear this. We strive to be accommodating to our residents and visitors, and we deeply regret that you were met with inflexibility from a member of our team. We appreciate your consideration and would be happy to answer any questions you may have or schedule a time that works for you to view our 2-bedroom apartments. Please visit us anytime in our leasing office or give us a call at 866-620-1130. We wish you well.
The apartment looks very old and some of door knobs don't work properly. If you live in ground floor ,you don't get enough exterior light in day time. They have so many hidden costs after you signed up for lease like uncertain water bill ,trash ,pest control but they charge extra when you really need to control pests, huge electric bill because too old building,a lot dog poo everywhere outside.Management, they don't use common sense and never think part of family.I have seen good thing is only lot shops around the apartment but their rent is too high in neighborhood more than they deserve.

We certainly will try and resolve your concerns about maintenance, community upkeep and pest control. Please come by the leasing office or call us at 866-620-1130 to further discuss your concerns.
This is a perfect place to reside for all age groups. The staff really care about you and are always available to address any concerns. The grounds are always well maintained and well groomed. The maintenance staff work hard not to delay any work orders and respond quickly and are very respectful. The property is located in an area with lots of shops, restaurant, banks and has the convenient of public transportation at its door. Want to enjoy the outside we have a heated pool, a hot tub with plenty of seating and room for a nice pool party. We have a large well lit tennis court, prefer to be inside we have a nice athletic room with top notch equipment and much more such as a sauna, tanning bed and showers. A great place to live and convenient to all parts of the city. I feel safe here and have enjoyed being here coming up on 2 years .
This place is fair and good. It is surrounding with all kinds of stores and restaurants. It is alright to live here. It is quiet and peaceful. The common areas are well maintained and staff incredibly helpful. It is not quiet the same size where I lived before but it will do for now. It has nice pool, tennis court and exercise room. It is alright for young people not for seniors.
The people here are a joke. My dad passed away not long ago and he lived here, they made us pay rent for the 2 months they wouldnt let anyone in to get his stuff. Ive found a million spiders and nests. They dont spray. They let someone break in and now deny it was someone from their maintenance team that did it when the locks were changed and they were the only ones with a key. They over charge heavily. I will soon be moving.
