Property Ratings at MAA Vintage Park
Initially, this complex was a good place to live for our family. Until recently they went under new management and now we no longer receive any updates regarding changes with in the complex. The one trash compactor for the entire complex is always either broken or overflowing with trash piled up on the sidewalks. There are mice all over the complex and inside the apartments and they do nothing about it. Cars and apartments get broken into frequently and cars are often left on bricks inside the complex! Oh, and good luck getting any help or information from the leasing agents, once they get you to sign a lease and take your money they could care less about anything else. Also, the gates and cameras around the premises are a joke and clearly just for show they have NEVER worked properly. Also, the new management clearly chooses who they want to enforce rules with. Although the vintage park area is a nice place to live, these apartments are extremely overpriced for wait they are, cheap, poorly built, and not properly maintained. Rather than doing something about the safety of their residents and coming up with a plan to limit the astonishing number of break-ins happening they choose to paint the exterior to yet again raise the rent. Just save yourself some time and money and look elsewhere for an apartment!

Great location, but thats it. Over the past two years theres been an increasing number of apartment and car break ins and even a deceased resident found inside their car with security nowhere to be found. Management is useless and uninterested in preventing future incidents. Every year when i renew my renters insurance, WITHOUT FAIL they somehow miss it and charge me the pricey noncompliance fee so I have to call for them to refund it. They tell me to wait because they have to “make sure i did indeed send it before the deadline”. That is so insulting. Its MY money. YOU dropped the ball. Do your job. Maintanence marked off a service request as completed, saying they just needed to order parts but never finished the job. Dog poop and spiders everywhere. Rude ladies in the office. Lots of apartments in the area- go anywhere else but here. Of all these issues, SAFETY is the biggest concern.

We lived here 2 years and it was a mixed bag. Pros: Great location with shopping, dining and recreation options at walking distance. The nearby local park has just added to the charm and greenery. It is sufficiently high that we lived through the worst of the flooding without major issues. The local crowd is lively during good weather. Cons: Site management office is usually not very helpful, and there is no method or transparency for escalations. I got hit upwards of $100 in surprise fees and charges when they changed IT systems and ran into issues. None of these were satisfactorily resolved or even explained. If management could get its act together, this could be a five star facility

I absolutely love this property! The staff here is so nice and professional. It's very quiet. I have been here 3 years and have never had any bad incidents while living here. If something needs to be fixed it's normally done right away. I definitely recommend this property.

BEWARE of the leasing office. Staff including the main Property manager don't have a clue what they are doing. They run applications incorrectly and keep the money. Also, when you come in to even just look expect to be there for 2 hours as you wait for them to have time for you. Terrible experience and definitely wouldn't recommend living here based just off trying to look at an apartment, communicating about the application, ect

Looks like a nice place, but the construction is very poor. The walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbor every morning walking around, or opening drawers. After being bought out by MAA, the management has become very unprofessional and rude, as well as trying to up the price of their apartments as much as they can. I would avoid it, one of those places that looks great on the outside, but the construction is that of a cheap college apartment.
This is my first apartment experience and I'm happy to say is has been a great one! From the hospital being less than 10 minutes away to the shopping area and stores circled around, there is no better place to be. Th staff is always polite and easy to work with and the area is clean and well maintained. There are other great apartments around, but this is right in the middle of everything that is needed and wanted as well.
This place seemed nice enough at first. I had to rent on short notice for the summer so I just picked Retreat because it was close to where I worked. The apartments are new but you can tell the construction was hastily done. My cabinets aren't straight and there is still leftover material around some outlets from construction. No one here has the decency to clean up after their pets. There is one lousy garbage compactor on the far side of the complex and every weekend trash piles up because the compactor hardly ever works. Worst of all is the management here. Mid America is the worst business ever. The people are nice until you ask any questions. It took two weeks to get my shower head replaced. They didn't even give me a reminder or tell me that I would have to sign a 60 day notice on my 90 day lease and even after talking to the manager they are still making me pay a full months rent. I've never felt so screwed over in my life. Don't bother with the Retreat at Vintage Park.
I love living at the Retreat at Vintage Park. The pool is beautiful and the workout facility is kept clean and offers many different choices of equipment. The location is probably my favorite part of living at the Retreat. Located across the street from Vintage Park, I feel as if i'm on a vacation. I often walk across the street in the evening to enjoy a movie or sit outside and have a glass of wine or dinner. The sparkly lights, live music and awesome shopping make living across the street a wonderful experience. I can walk to almost everything I ever need; massage, wax, hair salon, grocery store etc. I can be on the freeway in just a couple of minutes as well. I am a runner and have found some of the most beautiful trails I have ever run on just a minute from my place. It is wooded, green, peaceful and full of gorgeous little ponds. The staff has been nothing but kind and helpful even when calling me for a complaint about my teenage son's noise! I would definitely recommend this place!!
