Property Ratings at MacGregor Park Apartments
Cons: This place was built a very long time ago and has not been maintained properly. The parking lot is small and doesn't have spaces for visitors. The tenants are nice but dirty. People throw their trash all over and there isn't a person that cleans the complex. Most of the tenants smoke weed and have parties with people coming in and out at all hours. There is assigned parking but no one tells their visitors not to park on other people's spots. The sewer line is backed up and has not been fixed between a couple of the apartments and expels a pungent odored murky water. Sewer lines also back up into tenants apartments contaminating toilets, sinks, and showers. The owner of the complex does not like to buy quality product for repairs and tenants are left with cheap quality half done makeshift repairs. Some of the units flood during strong storms. This property is the black sheep of the owners inventory and does not plan on renovations/restorations. Pros: Down the street from UH and TSU. Down the street from Downtown. Down the street from the Texas Medical Center. Right on the bayou. Affordable. Renters beware!
