Snug between Uptown and Lower Greenville, Knox/Henderson borrows a little from both -- the restaurant scene and walkability of Uptown with the live music and endless entertainment of Lower Greenville -- to deliver the perfect neighborhood. It's no wonder it's a Dallas favorite, from its restaurants like Café Madrid, Chelsea Corner, and the Porch to the Katy Trail, a 3.5-mile paved walking and bicycling path that runs through Dallas.
Knox/Henderson is located around the merging of Knox Street with Henderson Avenue along Highway 75. The heart of the neighborhood, Greenville Avenue, features funky sidewalk cafes and art galleries along brick-paved sidewalks. The abundance of bike racks and period lighting help solidify this area's cool factor. The residential side of Knox/Henderson offers a unique blend of charming bungalows, townhomes, and modern apartment buildings -- often side-by-side for a unique look with ample character.

Property Ratings at Maddox
Upon move-in with a scheduled appointment, I had to wait and then was yelled at by the employee of which I did nothing to be at yelled. I received a lease violation for a box that was too big of which trash size is not listed on the trash rules. I have seen the cops called at least five times since I've lived here and it's only been 11 weeks. The noise level is out of control. People here think the pool is their own personal club and you can hear music all the way on the other end. I have spoken to them about suggestions to help the noise level and trash at the pool area and was told that you would not implement any of my ideas. So when I receive a response to this review about "see how we can improve your experience", I know that all of my requests, suggestions, and concerns will not be taken seriously. They say they have security as well as staff are able to handle issues during business hours. I can go to them about issues until 6 pm but security doesn't start until 10 pm. When I called at 8:30 pm about a noise issue, the dispatcher said there was nothing she could do and to call back at 10 pm. I was told before I signed the lease that they have 24/7 security which they clearly do not. Overall, the building management doesn't seem to care about residents' safety and overall happiness.
Property is run down and falling apart. It is constantly dirty and the trash rooms are overflowing. The doors are consistently broken and it takes them months to repair. While the doors are broken homeless people wonder the halls and sleep inside the building. When they do fix the doors, you have to find time to get your key fob fixed in the leasing office in order to get in the doors, it doesn't automatically update. Residents will bring 15+ guests to the pool so it is overcrowded. Management locked the public bathrooms so the pool is basically all pee now because no one is going up to their apartment to use the restroom. Also, people will just leave their elementary school aged children at the pool during the week days. They run around unsupervised. The parking garage is an unsafe place for anyone. There have been at least 25 breaks ins that I know of in the last year. There is broken glass everywhere and the top floor has tons of tire marks where people do stunts late at night. The worst part is the leasing office staff. They are obviously unhappy to work here because they are always in a bad mood. I have seen one of the female staff yell at residents and get aggressive in their face. It is incredibly unprofessional. They are updating the units but everyone I know that lives in an updated unit has tons of issues because the work is subpar. Leaks, electrical issues, etc. There has also been 3 different shootings in this building. Once my lease is up I will not renew. I would never recommend anyone to live here, it is not worth your safety or sanity.
We have an amazing property and location, however our office team and maintenance are lacking the tools to maintain timely maintenance responses, clean property, decent landscaping a sanitary dog run. My sister moved in under my recommendation a 1.5 years ago, but now we both are thinking of leaving. Not because we don't like our homes, but because we're tired of broken security doors, lack of canine DNA service so fellow dog owners continue to be irresponsible, lack of garage security (my car has been broken into twice). We just feel like the current owners could care less at this point. They just want rent.
Location is great. Building was never clean, doors are always broken, con webs in the hallways. It was kind of embarrassing walking friends through the property. The location and okay priced rent would be the reasons I would recommend the property. Other than that, needs a lot of help.
The lack of security bothers me. Gate and doors are constantly being broken.
Good location and nice apartments. Should really convert the top floor of the parking garage to a lounge or dog park or bar. With the skyline view it would be a huge attraction to the apartment
I would recommend to those on a budget and want a great location IMO. The building/units themselves need to be maintained better. I lived in 3114 for 5 yrs. I had a regular maid service so my place was well kept. However once you left my apartment the rest of the building is quite the contrary.
Maintenance does their best to get the job done with the given tools at hand.
My apartment wasn't even finished when i moved in . They had to come fix a lot of things after the fact . The office doesn't help woth complaints at all ! Still need Things fixed in my apartment, My upstairs neighbors sre so disturbing! The apartment over all is nice
I would recommend because of location but would express concerns about the maintenance of general areas
Good location but no community events
There has been a lot of theft in the parking garage.
Customer service from ALL 2660 staff members is exemplary
I very much like this community... sometimes the communication is not as quick as I think would be reasonable, however I recognize that the team has a lot of residents / issues they are responsible for. They are helpful and courteous.
It's in a great location
Cityplace is a great location for freeway access although it' not ideal for peace and quite because of the echo in the halls and the malfunctioning laundry room but, it is great here for the grocery store and shopping stores.
Great value, great service, amazing location
For the sake of your sanity and hygiene, don’t live here. The management is really rude and hardly ever responds to emails. The parking garage and hallways and common areas are always full of trash, and there’s a sticky residue throughout the building. There have been multiple car break ins in the parking garage, the sensors on the doors into the building are constantly broken so anyone can get in, and people’s packages get stolen from their front doors all the time. No matter how many people tell the management/staff about these issues, they don’t do anything. I don’t know what they do all day. I’ve had a maintenance request open for 2 weeks now without a response. Seriously, don’t live here. It’s disgusting, unsafe, and not worth your money.
The security at apts is horrible, cameras are not working and no one is monitoring them. Instead of wasting $ on security driving around, you should have them sitting and viewing the cameras & catching crooks. My truck was almost stolen, my tools were stolen, and my storage room was broken into.
Don't live here, worst apartment in uptown. Living at this apartment complex was an exhausting experience. Noisy tenants are the norm here. The staff is virtually unreachable, call after call, email after email, they get to you on their own time. You as a resident are not the priority by any stretch. Air condition broke 3 times, and had to use a portable A/C unit during the first 40 days of our lease in AUGUST because they're too cheap to replace a unit. My car was broken into, as well as so many other tenant's cars, because the security gate could be bypassed by a toddler. Seeing cars on blocks was normal. I was told police reports would be corroborated and filed, they never were. I must say, the Lincoln maintenance people, Reuben specifically, were awesome, but they don't work for city place who are luckily to have such good people. We were told construction on our balcony would be done within three months of moving in, and the process took more than a year with loud construction literally outside our window every week. This place is literally the worst. Don't live here.
It's a great location. And after the initial move-in dilemma was resolved, things have been fine.
Frustration with lack of communication from Management on balcony progress. Value of apartment is diminished without the balcony usage and view, which is obstructed with wooden boards and tarp.
Appliances are great. Just a couple things to note about the property - homeless people by the power meters on the Kroger side of building and not enough dog bag/trash can stands
I believe this is the perfect community for young professionals! Great location and amenities.
Actually, maintenance is the only good thing at this place...
The only reason I would refer the complex is solely due to the location and convenience.
Everybody is very friendly, the apartment complex is well-maintained, the amenities are very nice, and you can't beat the convenience of the location!
I work from home, this construction is extremely painful and disruptive during business/client calls, to the point where I've had to excuse myself from the call and knock on my window to let the workers know that I am on a business call.
I am neutral at this point since I do like the facility but Management has not managed expectations appropriately and construction moves at an incredibly slow pace.
Maintenance is good but other issues with facility make the number lower
The leasing professional was phenomenal and did a great job at showing the property.
2660 is a beautiful apartment complex that is close to my family and friends. It is also very conveniently located to both Kroger and LA Fitness, as well as the part of downtown where I currently work. The staff was very friendly during my visit, and the complex was well-maintained and very reasonably priced for the value received.
This apartment is prime location! The rent was unbelievable compared to the other places. In addition, the people who walked passed: smiled and said hi. I already felt like a resident.
I love the apartment and the amenities and I loved my initial visit, but since then it has been EXTREMELY hard to get anyone in the office to respond to me in a timely manner. If I send an email, I wont hear back for 3-4 business days later. I was also told wrong initially on what I would need as far as employment verification...something that should take 3 days took 2 weeks.
The quality of services is wonderful. My only issue is with the new neighbours that we got recently.
The parking gate is always broken. I couldn?t get my car out last night. My friends car was broken into when he was visiting. My toilet is still not working properly after the maintenance man said it was fine.
The owners don't care about the property. The initial construction was so crappy that the balconies are falling down. Their solution? Lock everyone off of their balconies, promise to do something and then DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No progress. No updates.
yes
Has all the needs, is in a great location, safe, and well priced for what you get in the area!
i will recomend 2660 at Cityplace to my friends coz its a nice place to live.
The location is perfect unless there is a life changing or a natural disaster i am not moving
Love living here. Location perfect. Staff awesome to work with. Paolo in office and Ruben are fantastic to work with and always super helpful.
Price makes it worthwhile. Packages situation singlehandedly brings this place from 5 stars to 4
The staff here is top notch. The other residents make their jobs harder. If I leave it will be because of the residents not because of the staff. LOVE the staff
The fact that this listing has 5 stars is a JOKE - must be written by management honestly. I lived here for 3 years and have nothing good to say about this complex or the management that runs it (except maybe the fact that it has a gym and is connected to Kroger). The security for the complex is minimal to lacking altogether, there are fire alarms in the middle of the night at least once a month, management RARELY picks up the phone and rarely ever responds to emails so trying to get in contact is difficult, the front office has lost 4 packages of mine in 3 years, there is a balcony issue that hasn't been resolved for over 2 years ("compensation is coming"..... smh), the elevators are always broken, my apartment flooded when it was raining because the doors aren't sealed properly, it's expensive and rent increases are insane... I could go on and on, but you get my point. STAY AWAY.
For younger people, this was a nice place to live. I would have liked it better if there were more people "my age" -- definitely a partying crowd lives there.
I had a terrible neighbour above me. Both me and a few residents tried to talk to him but he was very rude. Very loud, no respectful at the late hours in the night. the resident who came with me to talk to him left.
I have already recommended the apartment complex to a few friends. Leasing office and staff are great and common areas are kept clean. Valet trash is awesome. Floor layout makes apartment feel bigger than it is.
I was not told everything upfront about the move. Which put me in a bind come December. I was not told about the prorated rent charged for old apt and water, trash upfront/with the move in charges. I could had taken care of that with the new apt rent. I received a $522.07 bill later, which put me in a bind for Christmas. Reason I may not renew my lease is the traffic. This area is too high speed for me. Afraid someone will hit me head on in the parking garage. For health reason, I will like to have a seperate shower and tub. I wish it was more control on the loud music as well.
Great place to live, very nice apartment complex, quiet, close to lots of restaurants and other social activities, great pool!
