I've been living in Maddox since '21. I chose to stay here becasue not only do I love my apartment but, also the leasing office and how they take such great care of their residents!
My time at the Maddox from being an out of state new resident has been amazing. It is in the perfect location to easy access to restaurant's, entertainment and weekend famers markets. Most importantly I feel very safe living here.
Maddox is an excellent apartment complex! Great community, great team, and cleanly spaces! The team is attentive and on top of things and the apartments are great!
The staff has been so helpful and are always on top of communication. I also really enjoy the amenities. They always feel clean and safe for me to use at all times
We’ve been living at Maddox Southend for 18 months and, overall, have enjoyed our experience. The building is always clean, and the facilities are consistently in good condition. The staff are helpful, and the maintenance team, in particular, is always kind and quick to assist. That said, we’ve had an ongoing issue with our new neighbors directly above us. For the past few months, there’s been frequent noise, including what sounds like furniture moving and walking with heavy shoes, often late at night and early in the morning. We raised this concern back in December but never received a response. My wife also mentioned it to Melonie when the neighbors first moved in, but it was dismissed. We understand the issue may be due to poor sound insulation, but it has affected our comfort. Despite this, the friendly community and supportive staff still make Maddox Southend a pleasant place to live.

Good location! However you can see the wear and gear on the building. Everyone has been very friendly. The lighting fixtures in the building are either crooked or dirty. Most of the baseboards in common areas are very scuffed up. The finishes of the building scream one year rentals. Staff is nice and residents are friendly.

Maddox sets itself apart from other apartments in South End for its high quality amenities and top notch apartments. The apartments themselves are a higher quality than others in South End. The kitchen (glass cabinets and under cabinet lights) and bathroom (real tile shower) are especially luxurious. The leasing staff and maintenance team have always been kind and helpful! Would highly recommend living here if you’re moving to South End!

I do not have enough words to describe how much I love living at Maddox. Not only is it a great property to live at (let’s talk about the pool vibes) but the staff is always SO nice and super helpful. Especially Rachel. She goes above and beyond to ensure her tenants are cared for. Maddox also likes to be super inclusive by creating community events that tailor to everyone’s liking. They also started a pet of the month club where my dog, Huxley, was the first dog they featured! He loved it! Highly recommend Maddox

The amenities, the location, but most importantly the people make this apartment complex incredible. Eliza, who works for the leasing office, especially made my move and my stay 11/10. She will personally go above and beyond for her residents and people interested in the Maddox. Always a smiley presence too. :) The location is so close to everything, which is ideal when moving to a new city (like I did). I have loved my experience with Maddox South End. I ultimately chose it because the floor plan and design was exactly what I was looking for. I work at an interior design firm in South End, and I loved the bright clean design at Maddox (white cabinetry, white backsplash, moveable island, etc). I also love the amenities and location. The light rail is a little louder than I was anticipating but you can get used to it. So far, I'm really grateful that I chose Maddox and would highly recommend it.

In the one month I have lived here thus far, management has been stellar. From the beginning of the leasing process throughout the ongoing changes that Covid presents they have been attentive to every residents need. My apartment is now my home and exactly what was advertised and more. The amenities are beyond what I was expecting — especially when comparing prices to the surrounding area. Proximity to activities such as bars and restaurants are unrivaled! I love being so close to everything including the close access to through roads and highway accesses. Maddox South End is an awesome apartment building with great residents and management team. It instantly felt like home for me and I am so glad I chose this apartment compared to other ones. I really lucked out moving to Charlotte from the Midwest and not knowing one thing about Charlotte. Ive met people at Maddox and now know Charlotte a lot better because of this apartment!

The garage door has broken many times to the point where they have to leave it open exposing our vehicles to vandalism. Recently thefts and broken windows in many vehicles has occurred.

Please know we do understand your frustrations, however, we never intentionally leave a garage door open but when a malfunction does occur we work as fast as possible to correct it and communicate this to our residents. Both garage doors are fully operational where we do ensure they are closed each evening prior to the office closing. It is our priority to provide nothing but excellence and do strive everyday to ensure this is met. We do encourage you to please reach out to our Leasing Office with any questions or concerns you have so we can address them right away.
The garage door has been out of service several times in the past year. It has been left open several times and has exposed our vehicles to vandalism. This has resulted in theft and multiple vehicles being broken into.

I recently moved in & it’s been a great experience so far! Peyton made my transition seamless and she’s so fun to work with!! I moved from Iowa so it was quite the task. She was extremely welcoming and offered to help with nearly everything. The property is absolutely beautiful and has great amenities. The location is also spot on. It’s a short walk to the light rail, grocery store and all kinds of restaurants. I love it so far!

I’ve been living in this complex for about 8 months and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to live. I have a beautiful city view loft that is centrally located to all the breweries in restaurants in the area. It backs up to the light rail station and the “rail trail” that will take you all the way to the city. The staff is incredibly nice and has been very accommodating. Peyton especially goes above and beyond to make your stay here even better. Currently in the process of signing again for the following year! Highly recommended!
