Property Ratings at Madison at Largo
I’ve been a resident for going on 7yrs and have not had any issues. If you call them they will send someone out in a timely manner. I want to recognize the dedicated work from your new office manager Cinthia!!! She has exceeded all expectations, along with the maintenance man (from PR) and Tiffany !!! They are always willing to help or let me know they are working on whatever my request was!!!They are the real MVPs!! Thank you!!!
Warning very very old apartments no insulation in roof (blacktop) will have very high electric bills in summer for top floor and townhomes. Have requested insulation to help with bills no response from office or corporate
So I have lived here 6 years. For the most part is was good. The office staff was nice and kept the grounds well and clean. However lately the grounds are full of garbage the trash is always over filled so I cant take mine out. This weekend a man was swinging a knive around at the pool where children play. We called the office and they told us they didnt care call the police. He lives in a building behind us walks around on drugs. The cops say they are there 4 to 5 times a week because of the crazy people and drugs. A month a ago I gave the office my renewal paperwork it took them a month to get it ready for us to sign. I work 7 days a week and said Ill make it in when I can they were so very rude and told me i Needed to come in that day. Im sorry but I own a business and could not leave. The office staff is so rude and non helpful in anyways. I cant wait until the building is sold again and we can get a nice manager and staff back. My apartment was so bad when i moved in the baseboards were chewed up from a dog or something. But We are handy and painted the apartment and replaced the baseboards, lights a door. They didnt even help with that. Only thing going for them is I have not seen any bugs as I am from the north and didnt even know what a roach was. Look elsewhere. My son and his wife live there and are moving when lease is up and so does my sister. It. 0 stars for the office-- 5 for the pool

As of March 2023, they have been doing "construction" outside of one of the buildings for going on three months, running water from the pipes 24/7 into the parking lot. Pot holes big enough to be craters started to open up. They shut the water off and poured a little asphalt in them, and then began running the water again. Predictably, the pot craters are opening right back up. When I call the office to find out what on earth is going on and why this is going on for three months, no one has any clue. I've spoken with three different people and NONE of them have any idea what is going on or when the issue will be resolved. Who's running this circus?! And, what I find the MOST galling, is that right before they started running the water, they raised the amount they charge residents for water every month. How can you say water is so expensive and you're going to charge more for it, yet you're out here running it 24/7 for THREE MONTHS AND COUNTING. Incredibly frustrating. I would move but there's nowhere else to go. (If the "property manager" responds to this review by inviting me to call the office... please. As stated, I have called the office multiple times and get the same baloney "We don't know when it will be fixed" answer every time.")

All the below reviews are still true today. FACT! If you choose to live at Madison at Largo BEWARE. Nothing is tropical, lush, private outdoor space, no renovations unless paint and new used appliances, with bugs defines renovated. In the front office area yeah it looks kinda like the website. The rest. NO GOOD. You will regret it. Up to you. Good luck.

Hello Michelle, we value resident feedback and would welcome the opportunity to address any concerns you may have in greater detail. Please feel free to give our team a call at your earliest convenience. We hope to work together to improve your rating of our community.
I have had issues throughout my time at this complex. The biggest has been roaches and other bug issues that have randomly occurred since living in my apartment. The second is the mold. I guess that can be said for the complex being old, but there is definitely mold at this complex. They also give the good old landlord special of painting over issues. They also did not have the apartment fully ready when I moved in. Most complexes have you complete a form to catch any existing issues in the apartment so they know what needs to be fixed and what was there before you moved in. I've always had maintenance fix issues that were recorded on that form. NOT THIS PLACE. THOUGH. My most concerning issue is the operation of maintenance. I don't think they have done enough training with their team. I've never had people stroll in after one knock and not announce that they are property staff. This place does just that and it is so uncomfortable. Yes, they do need to do their job. But, you also pay to live there and have your own space. At a bare minimum, they need to say who they are and knock a few times before attempting to enter your apartment. I've lived here for over two years and made some of these complaints multiple times and clearly, they are still issues, or else it would end on a more positive note about how they've turned things around - which they haven't in my experience. To add, I have had my rent increase in small increments outside of my lease renewal. I am sure it was due to people moving out and them needing to make up the difference to pay for staff and things but it's very frustrating. I would not recommend this place unless you're in a pinch for time and money and this is all you can find. You should be comfortable in your space.

AC has been broken for MONTHS and they will not replace it. I have to call them multiple times a week to get someone to come out and fix it so my apt is not at 82 in the middle of summer. DO NOT MOVE HERE

Hello Gina, we certainly understand your concern and would like to apologize for your experience at Madison at Largo. Please give us a call at your earliest convenience. We would like to speak with you about allowing our service team the opportunity to exceed your expectations.
At first, neighborhood seemed ok, but it quickly became a mirage. New neighbors are openly dealing drugs, have multiple people living their, and people sleeping on their porch, like this is normal! Management seems content and almost like they welcome it. The community has had multiple vehicle break in's. Many other tenants have spoke of same issues. Pool area is typically dirty and trashy. Tenant safety, and community safety take a backseat to dollars.
I have to say that besides being centrally located and close to the beaches this complex is beautifully landscaped and maintained very well. The leasing staff is absolutely wonderful and 100% helpful in every way. They are always responsive to any issue and I appreciate that. The apartment itself is roomy and I feel totally safe and secure here. The pools are beautiful so much I feel like on vacation overtime I go swimming !!!

This place is terrible. Where can I start.. oh yes with the ladies that work in the office. THEY DONT KNOW ANYTHING AND ARE NO HELP IN ANY SITUATION. They will never answer the phone. Never ever call you back. Lie to you about parking and leases. There is absolutely no parking here. I had my car broken in along with a few neighbors. You have to park extremely far from your place and walk alone in a dark complex where there has been police and crime scene tape a few time since I've lived here. Also if you ever have a matenice problem FORGET IT. They WILL NEVER RESPOND TO YOUR CALLS. I went 10 days without hot water in January because I couldn't get one guy to fix it. All while i had company in town. And there are wasps everywhere!!!! All over doors and windows. The carpet in the apartments are the cheapest stuff you could ever get. It tore up while i was vacuuming and if you walk on it too much is gets flat and turns dark brown. Also people let there dogs poop everywhere and do not clean it up. Every grass area is covered in dog poop. Also the dumpsters get over filled with garbage and people just start throwing it on the ground. All in all my experience living here was terrible. I am definitely moving out asap.
I can’t say one positive about this development ! But wanted to warn people to stay away ! Only model apartment you see is nicely done rest is trash. Nothing works properly nothing gets fixed properly . Staff is new constantly . Management new constantly . Nobody cares at all. Only time you get their smile is when you sign your lease . Then it’s so fake so terrible . the maintenance is hiding behind buildings sitting on their phones in golf carts, and when they come in to look at your problem they say they will be back and it takes months to replace anything . Took them almost a year to get me New window that kept falling near my child’s bed and how they put it in is disaster . I could go on an on but wanted you all to know to stay away. When you move out looks like nobody gets their deposit back because you will get bill : for new carpet installation after “damage the carpets living there 3 years! Wow ! I will not let go I’ll fight this ! But you Can prevent it by staying away !
DON’T MOVE IN THIS COMPLEX. This place is nasty and filthy. No rules at all. My house smells like smoke at all times because the neighbors do not understand that this is a community that we all share nor their private property. The stairs are always full of smoke ashes. I have been at the office and complained many times and nothing has ever been done. The manager of the complex tells me where would they smoke than? I don’t know maybe she can take them in her own house so they can smoke there and not in my front door because is discussing. I have had to wash the carpet 5 times so far because is nasty from all the smoke ashes. The other neighbor plays rap music all night. No matter what you say to the manager she don’t care. This place is just nasty.
Just moved in about a month ago, The Laurel townhouse style w/ 2 BR and 2.5 baths. I am moving from Tampa and a house I owned and I could not be happier to not deal with homeowner stuff. The grounds are great, lush and well landscaped. The location is very quiet. Pools so far have been very relaxing in the evenings. The apartment has new carpet upstairs and "wood style" flooring downstairs, and we are an end unit. The bathroom are nice, and the tubs appear new and not refinished. Parking has not been an issue, and neither has noise...but we are at the front near the leasing center. I imagine that near the back where most of the 1 bedroom apartments are located, that it could get busy and loud. But walking back there on multiple occasions I can't say it was bad in any sense of the word. Keep in mind that this is an apartment, there will be issues I'm sure. But for now its great and I would highly recommend it!
If you would like to live in a place that you are told that you are WRONG by the property manager and employees . This place is for you. If you call and say that the pool has not been unlocked for days you are told YOU ARE WRONG. Rude, Unprofessional and crazy. The office is only open 9 to 6pm on weekdays. If you take off work early to get a package they tell you that its not there. It takes days to prove that they do have it. The beautiful Office and Club house is only for the office staff purposes. The printer has never worked since January 15, 2015. This is always closed on weekends so there is no point in them even showing it to you except to lure you into non existent luxury. Unresolved maintenance issues for over a year. Rat cages everywhere - huge problem I have seen them smoke out a building that has kids in it without even informing the parents.
Maintence is okay. Office staff is brutal. You get more no response on message left., sent, or email. Main pool has been closed 3 weeks.i live at this place in a corner townhouse trust me
From the outside this place looks beautiful. The model apartment is also impressive. The reality does not live up to your first impressions. Make sure you TOUR A REAL APARTMENT before you sign the lease. The apartments are old and poorly remodeled. Many of the bathtubs are 'refinished' leaving them with a gritty texture that is very unpleasant if you take a bath. The walls are patched and poorly painted. There is NO PARKING. Look around and you will see plenty of reserved parking spots for which you pay extra. If you come home after 6pm you will end up parking on the outskirts of the complex and hiking back to your building. The leasing office hours are 9-5 Monday - Friday and the STAFF IS UNRESPONSIVE. This place is NOISY and complaints go unresolved. I am counting the days until my lease is up.
I have had a few issues at Madison. But my overall experience was not bad. I have lived there for almost 4 yrs and I can't say too many bad things about them. The staff is helpful until it's close to closing. And I like that the property manager actually returns phone calls.
The community has a resort style feel with three pools tennis court and tons of green space. The recent addition of a pool table and games to the club house makes better use of the common space. the maintenance staff is very nice and help full which is good as most units have been upgraded but some need some tlc. Management is very attentive and try to create a community feel with game nights, movie nights, and food truck Tuesdays. the size of the apartments are large for the area. The down side is parking is rough unless you pay for a reserved spot, the pool and gym could be kept cleaner and people don't curb their dogs. The paper thin walls get old real quick and a car care area would be nice for the price.
The location of this community cannot be beat, close to shopping and about a 10 minute drive from beaches. The apartments are huge, larger than most apartments in the area. The interiors are nice and newly renovated. The downside is the walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbors all the time. The community itself could use improvement. The parking is horrendous, and people drive entirely too fast and management does very little to correct the problem. While the pools and gym are nice, they could be kept cleaner. Overall, the community is a good choice for the money. With a few improvements, it would be a phenomenal community!
