If you love to shop, you’ll love living in Arboretum. At the heart of this neighborhood, you’ll find The Arboretum, a popular shopping destination located off Highway 183 in north Austin. In addition to popular shops like Pier 1, Talbots, and Trader Joe’s, this shopping area contains a variety of restaurants like BRIO Tuscan Grille, Estancia Brazilian Steakhouse, Z’Tejas, and Eddie V’s Prime Seafood. Property Ratings at Madison at the Arboretum
DO NOT RENT MOLD INFESTED, BUG INFESTED management allows tenants to feed coyotes and deer, appliance and everything in apartment is extremely cheap and old, horrible maintenance crew, management is worthless, charges you random move out fees that you have no control over. Lived at Madison for two years due to being in decent schools in the area. Love the area and beautiful landscape around, but this is so very outdated and has horrendous living conditions. After the first year rent went up over 30% second year to first year with little explanation and would barely lower to rate to 30% increase after complaining. Had many problems while there for two years that were never taken care of, and or didn’t care of any of the inconveniences that this community causes tenants. Carpet when we moved in was already fraying and complained many times to management about this issue. They told us and A+ Apartment Finders that they had replaced the carpet and this was a lie. The carpet was so bad we had to place duct tape in high traffic areas to cover tack strips from cutting us and our dogs and guests. They didn’t even try to assist with carpet issues. There are so many structural problems cracked walls and doors, tile, etc. Mold in the showers did a Mold test kit and found three types of Mold Black, Pink and another form of mold. It was so bad that it rotted its way through the shower tile which fail into the shower off the wall due to the amount of mold. After finding out about the mold made a lot of sense why my son and I had had constant sinusitis while living here we were constantly having symptoms of the mold problems. There was mold patterns even on the ceiling of the guest bathroom on the ceiling where we had several issues with the room flooding due to AC pan in the bathroom. They allow tenants to feed coyotes and deer daily even after calling management they continue to feed the coyotes and deer. We had our miniature schnauzer attacked by coyote behind building #12. Had to take him to Vet around the corner. Had over 40 red wasps killed in my bedroom Unit 256 in building #12, stung over 5 times. They came in from exterior part of building I showed the maintenance people and pest control people what they issue was and again NO results. They just sent out the pest guy but as the exterminator mentioned to me that they management company had to make changes to outside to fix this issues and he said that they probably would do nothing.
