Property Ratings at Madison Crest Apartment Homes
Jackie and the other young woman that work in the office are constantly indifferent towards the issues that I’ve brought forth. For instance, my apartment was 48 degrees one night in December 2019 when I arrived home from work late. The HVAC unit was broken so I called emergency maintenance from 10pm-12am constantly to no avail. Finally I went to a friend’s house to spend the night. The next day, I called the office around noon to report the issues I had with maintenance not answering or returning my calls. Jackie stated, “Well they’re fixing it now.” Unacceptable and unprofessional. Never once was there an apology for my inconvenience or their poor response time. It’s not emergency service if I have to wait 12 hours to get a response. Would not recommend this complex.
The location is good for shopping, and the apartments are very nice. I wish they had a pool, or some amenity like that, but the places themselves are still super nice, granite, big closets. I'd definitely recommend.
Have you ever seen a movie or TV show where the lessor/salesman brings the unsuspecting couple to an apartment or home between the times that an unmentioned blaring train is scheduled to roar by, and the couple finds out their new nightmare the first night while attempting to sleep? Yep, you're about to be the dupe in THAT MOVIE. The complex is not required to tell you about the train but it's low character to not ensure those about to lock into a lease are aware of the extreme nuisance. The train tracks sit at the back of the property obscured by trees and brush. There are several crossings close to the property which require the engineer to sound the whistle for an extended period of time. The track experiences high traffic, the trains run all throughout the night, and it's like having a train whistle for an alarm clock that goes off randomly! "Oh I'll get used to it." If you can sleep through a gunshot going off in your room multiple times a night you're probably right. We literally risk our lives each night SLEEPING WITH EAR PLUGS! Lord forbid there is a fire one night and we don't hear the fire alarms going off. Didn't know about the train and want to leave the next day? Sure, just give a 60 day notice, forfeit your security deposit, and pay one month's rent liquidated damages. The least Madison Crest could have done is pay a little more for insulation that reduces external noise, knowing they were building so close to a whistling train. The day my lease is up I will RUN from this place. It does look nice though ;-)
