Due to a relocation for work, I was able to refer a friend to take over my lease and renew once my term was completed. He really likes the community and will hopefully stay longer, if he feels the need.
Great location, competent management, friendly staff, appealing floor plans. What more could one want?
Green areas and quiet environment. But pool need improvement, specially more chairs and a shower outside . Gym need improvement too .
The maintenance is usually excellent but this isn't about maintenance - it is about pest control which is handled by an outside company.
The community itself is great but there's not much within walking distance, so I think it's a matter of the lifestyle of the person looking.
I would recommend this apartment community because of the timely manner they respond to issues and how quickly they get repairs done.
The apartment unit itself is great but some of the office personnel have been disappointing and not met expectations on multiple occasions.
The apartment and complex were good, but I would very much warn someone about the office staff.
I have been suggesting Madison to anyone who asks me where's the best place to live in Decatur. The office personal is so nice and willing to help you with any questions. They give quality costumer service! And the maintenance responds in great time.
Don't trust the leasing agent girl. Once you get the place they turn on you quick. The first day I moved in, it looked nothing like the show room. I noticed the floors ripped up and told the leasing girl. She said someone will fix it. Nothing happened she did nothing. The floor got worse and ripped completely up of the fake wood. She also said the toilet was messed up with the pressure. Yea it was it flooded my whole place and ruined most of my cloth. They said my " pit bull" was on the patio of the first floor and is a violation. I don't have a pit bull and that's really offensive too me. Yea I let my dog get some air on my patio the neighbors dog does the same thing. I cant even swim in the pool and I'm a lifeguard because you have to have 2 people swimming with you at all times? I live alone that's insane. DO NOT LET THE LEASING GIRL SIGN YOU UP, THIS IS 0 STAR PLACE FROM THE FAKE WOOD TO THE SERVICE.

I am from Massachusetts and am in the process of relocating to Atlanta. I scheduled an appointment to come see one of their units and everything seemed fine until I showed up. The woman in the leasing office greeted me to ask why I was there in the first place. I told her I have an appointment for 10 a.m., and was just checking in early. She claimed that she had a meeting and would not be showing any units then proceeded to ask me for the name of the person who made my appointment as no appointments were booked. If you are interested in living in this establishment, remember to document every conversation as it seems they aren't very organized.

The Madison Druid Hills is a highly professional apartment group. The staff are caring, supportive, and helpful to applicants and residents. As an incoming Emory student, I faced some difficulty securing an apartment and the staff was extremely flexible, helpful, and professional. I have never experienced such a high level of customer service. For all incoming EMORY University students I would strongly suggest you seek residence at this location. Thank you!

I think it's overall a great apartment community so far. I like the location, it's always pretty clean on the grounds, and maintenance is prompt and efficient.
The location is perfect! The office and maintenance staff are knowledgeable and helpful. We have actually moved from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment closer to the pool and it's so great! I have really enjoyed living here.

the setting is great with everything I need within walking distance or just a Marta ride away. there is a light to access North Druid Hills. There are full size trees in the complex and as large as the complex is it feels small.
Everything's great about the apartment, but when issues arise, Madison definitely tries to do the cheapest option, instead of the right solution.
I have recommended this community to many others - I think there is good value in the prices and it is in a great location.
I would recommend, however, the additional fees added to rent each month are not what I expected
I had a recent disaster happen to me. The apartment management were very understanding and uplifting. They really cared about me as I was going through this difficult time. Chris, the asst. community manager, is AMAZING and so very approachable. Chris is very helpful and really takes the time to get to know each and every resident!! I have never been at a place where the management and staff really genuinely care about the residents well-being and overall happiness at the community. The new property manager is so awesome and very approachable as well! She even gave me inspirational advice and was ready to assist me as a resident of the community. The apartments are really nice and very convenient to everything Atlanta has to offer. Also, the maintenance requests are handled immediately! It's very close to Buckhead and all the greatness the Buckhead area offers. Overall, I'm so thankful for Chris and the new property manager and recommend this property for anyone that's looking for an apartment home! They have really touched me and I've enjoyed my time at Madison Druid Hills!

We thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Madison Apartment Group has been working diligently since purchasing this community a few months ago to improve conditions and overall living experience. Progress does take time but we're seeing improvements already.
I've lived here through management turnover (Viera to Madison ) and I can tell you there is no difference. I've had roach problems since day 1. I've even gone as far as paying for my own pest control because the formula Viera was using did not work. I complained again when the problem returned under Viera management, several times. They even requested to see my receipts. When I have them copies, they still did nothing and told me they would try several options. NOBODY has contacted me about this issue and I don't think they plan on doing anything. It's apparently a complex-wide issue. I have friends that live in the same area who do not have this problem. I will NOT be renewing my lease. NO CELL SERVICE EITHER. Why not listen to your tenants and work to fix the underlying issues that many complain about? It will save the company in the long run and will keep from having to find more tenants and deal with a negative brand image. You can push all of the positive marketing you want and ignore negative reviews, but prospective tenants aren't dumb. At these rent prices, something legitimate needs to be done to fix the issues we see in these comments over and over. Come on guys, seriously.

Our sincerest apologies for your negative experience. We understand your frustration. We're actively working with local pest control companies for alternate solutions to the issues brought on by being in a wooded, park like setting. We're also trying to reach out to Verizon regarding the cell phone towers in the area causing diminished service in select areas. We'd love for you to add to our petition we plan to send them regarding this lapse of coverage. The towers in this area primarily belong to Verizon. In the meantime, we have found initiating wifi calling on your cell phone does alleviate a lot of the issues. Please reach out to the Leasing Office to coordinate an appointment with the new Community Director so we can chat personally.
So I never write a review but I just had to because the new company that took over have been really annoying. I've been living on the property for 3 years now. Recently, Viera Briarcliff switched management and it hasn't been the same ever since. The staff that worked when Viera Briarcliff was still running things were amazing. LaCheryl , Kesia and Allen ... you guys are missed tremendously. They were very personable and got things done. The leasing agents with the Madison Company are just not cutting it. You can tell they really don't know what they're doing. Incident #1: Recently, our apartment was broken in to and they allowed us to switch apartments. Due to the fact it was the first of the month and I already paid full rent...I asked management to cover move in/utility switch over fees for the inconvenience due to the fact I agreed to not break my lease . The site manager at that time said "NO" and I was forced to call the corporate office who then agreed to honor my wishes. ( Mind you, that was the 4th time someone attempted to rob our first floor apartment. And they took their sweet time moving us since the first incident). Incident #2: Many rules have changed without notifying or sending out memos to the residents. Such as: Having the police come out and close the pool at 10:00 pm every night ( V. Briarcliff never closed the pool. Everything on site was 24hr use.) and forcing us now to use the online portal to pay rent now Incident #3 : Lastly, I rushed home from work on Saturday to retrieve my package that was left in the leasing office. I arrived a few mins after 5pm to see the leasing agent outside collecting money orders from residents. Upon finishing, I asked her if she can take me to get my package. Her response " Its after 5pm and we are closed. They won't allow me to give you a package once we are closed". Grant it , you guys are "closed" but your not closed enough to collect rent money???? Also, it was a 4 day weekend ... It would've took you less than 5 mins just to pass me my package that I needed for this weekend but instead you wanted me to wait all the way till Tuesday to get it. So inconsiderate and Viera Briarcliff agents would've never done that. I was the only one there for a package. It would've been nothing to say " Usually we are not able to give you your package after closing but since it is a 4 day weekend...I can do it for you this time" ***Customer Service 101**** Also, its water bugs every freaking WHERE!!!

I would give zero stars if possible. The old management was awful. The new management is even worse. Roach-infested. Water makes you sick. Management never responds to your concerns. They have lost my rent check TWICE - even though I physically handed it to them both times. Don't waste your time or your money.

Newly renovated, gated apartments. Great location, 10-15 minutes from downtown Atlanta, 10 minutes from Buckhead. Only downside is maintenance is very slow to respond to requests.
I really like my apartment and the community.. First, the staff is warm,friendly and very competent. It is a gated community,with all the good amenities you come to expect..I have a small dog and he is loved by all..The management treats us all with respect, and courtesy. My dod was attacked by another dog,who was not on a leash..That tenet was forced to leave..He was disrupting the harmony of the entire community. Thank you
