Ranked by many as one of the top neighborhoods in Los Angeles, Mid-City West, sometimes known as "Midtown," features some of the most fascinating areas in one locale. Found in the heart of metropolitan LA affluence, Midtown lies 3 miles east of Beverly Hills in the Mid-Wilshire district.
With a young and hip vibe, Midtown draws residents who want to experience LA to the max. You find trendy fashionistas shopping at the Beverly Center or in luxe boutiques along Melrose Avenue. Indie film buffs go to the historical Silent Movie Theatre for strange on-screen gems. Celebrity fans line up outside CBS Studios or dine at exclusive restaurants in hopes of catching a glimpse. Art enthusiasts visit Midtown's Art Deco area where you see mammoth Ice Age fossils at the La Brea Tar Pits.
The melting pot culture of Midtown ignites this rare neighborhood, making it a prime location for everything LA has to offer.

Property Ratings at Madison Hancock Park
From the moment I stepped foot in this building I felt comfortable. It's an inviting, clean and warm space. I love my apartment here.
Very well-maintained and well-run. Wonderful staff.
PROS: Responsive, informative and courteous management and maintenance staff; well-decorated and clean common areas. CONS: no in-unit laundry machines
This apartment is overpriced and you probably can find something better in the same price range. The building is pretty old and has many issues that don't seem to be resolved anytime soon. Some rooms have been renovated but most rooms have remained the same for years. After someone moves out, they clean the room, paint the wall and, for the oldest rooms, upgrade the fixtures but you will notice and feel the age of the building once you actually start living here. You can also hear the elevators going up and down from every single room inside the complex. Some of the biggest issues at this moment – the lower garage gate has been wide open 24/7 for the last 4 weeks or so, which means that anyone from the street has an access to the garage. Tenants had a difficulty opening the gate with the clicker for a while, and the management decided to just keep it open until they “find a vendor to fix it.” No update since. The laundry room is a headache as well. The machines often don’t respond to credit cards and won’t start. I have seen some tenants going to a laundromat nearby. Even if it starts, washing machines never finish a cycle in time. Some machines keep running over an hour. Here is the worst aspect of our apartment complex. The building manger is extremely standoffish and treats tenants as if they are his employees. He is not at all helpful or sympathetic and doesn't seem to care much about anything but himself. Some tenants keep quiet even if issues come up because 1) this manager doesn't like to hear complains 2) he doesn't make an effort to find the best solution 3) he is known for bullying tenants who voice their opinions by ignoring them completely. The only thing he is here for - to make our lives better. He is clearly not executing it.
The management is an important aspect for us besides the apartment itself and we are absolutely satisfied with the service Marcus provided.
The staff here is amazing. My only suggestion would Be to redo the hallways on the third floor
It is lovely, modern in its conveniences and charming at the same time. Very nice community feeling as well.
Regarding my specific decision to not rent there, it?s primarily the fact I?m looking for something more akin to a newer build.
I would definitely recommend living here to friends and family--the only drawback is that the laundry facilities are sometimes crowded and a bit dirty.
Excellent staff make a big difference. Many apartment complexes have poor personnel issues. Madison does not.
As someone who lives to find the best place to live, I'm constantly comparing my current apartment to the market. Without fail for the past 5 years, I've found that the Madison offers the best in modern luxury living for a slightly lower than average price. Management is friendly and offers assistance whenever needed (even on rent breaks sometimes). Neighbors are quiet and friendly.
