I have lived at Madison place for a year now and the AC has never worked despite multiple maintenance visits. I’ve been told it’s a problem with the building. In the summer it’s impossible to get my room under 75 degrees

I moved into my apartment here at Madison Place back in July 2020. I was excited to be one of the first residents to move in and experience some of the amenities and views the building has to offer. Everything was going great up until a few month ago. While the building itself is very nice, with nice amenities and a great gym. I am not sure I can go through another winter in this building. The units have practically no insulation, and all of the vents are located directly next to the windows!! All of the heat escapes immediately. Throughout January and February, the heat in my unit would be set to 72 degrees, however the unit itself would consistently be in the LOW 60s!!! And as a kicker, my electric bill went up from an average of roughly $75/month to OVER $270 during the month of January! For a brand new apartment building that advertises itself for offering Energy Efficient Living (as seen on their website), it is beginning to look like the building was clearly built on the cheap. When discussing this with the leasing office, they finally obliged to giving a one-time $100 credit for the month, but that is not a very sustainable solution. Especially when the next month's bill came in, again at OVER $200. My advice to future tenants: move into this building at your own peril. Make an educated decision if you are willing to pay through the roof for your electric bill during the winter months, while not even having the heat work well. Be prepared to use extra blankets, gloves, and heating pads when sitting in your living room to stay warm. I hope this message will be informative to potential future residents. I would like to add that should you be willing to overlook all of the above concerns, the building has very nice amenities, cool views, and a great outdoor patio.

I didnt end up renting here but had a nice viewing with the leasing office of a couple places. Nice area with nice units.
