Property Ratings at Madrid Courtyard Apartments
I have been living at The Madrid for about 2-1/2 years and I LOVE it. I could not be happier with my choice of where to live. First of all, the neighborhood and area is fantastic. The location is perfect, on the northern edge of the city. The area is known as Uptown, very safe and rates very high in the “walkability” department. The nearby shopping and restaurants are among the best in the entire Phoenix metropolitan area, just excellent. So - there is that. Secondly, there are so many great things to say about the apartment complex itself. It is quiet and highly enjoyable. The grounds/courtyard are beautifully maintained; lots of lush greenery, a large variety of mature trees that supply plenty of shade and are lovely to look at, loads of different blooming plants and bushes and all meticulously maintained by Nick, management at The Madrid. It’s so clean. The walkways, corridors, common areas are kept so clean. That in itself is a joy. The pool is always sparkling clean and is beautifully lit a turquoise blue at night, it’s nearly a work of art. This is just one of the features that I happily view from my window. The Madrid is an older building, which I prefer. It’s built like a rock and I never hear a peep from adjoining units. So quiet. So happy. I LOVE my apartment and I will list just a few of my favorite things about it. It is incredibly spacious, plenty of room for all of furniture without any sort of crowding. I fancy myself a great cook and the stove is gas. There is nothing better than cooking on a gas stove top. The bathroom is humongous! The bathtub is humongous, as God is my witness, I will never shower again. There is SO much storage, you would be amazed at the amount of stuff I keep tidily tucked away. The affordability is a huge factor that suits my lifestyle perfectly. The A/C, (Utilities are included in the rent.) is ice cold. No problem keeping nice and cool in the summer. I am also so very pleased with the management. On a personal level I think they are both just outstanding people. On a professional level, they do such an amazing job with this place. If anything breaks or needs repair, it is taken care of immediately. The Madrid is a rare find, a delightful combination of so many great things, a true gem. I like to keep my life easy, simple and beautiful. My life living at the Madrid is just that.
The pricing is awesome. My Studio does have older appliances and some quirks and issues, but in this price range it's great. My biggest issue with looking for an apartment at this price was making sure I didn't feel threatened by the area, neighbors, or management. Because there are only about 60 units, the management team is smaller and they care! My Studio apartment is spacious, with a lot of storage. The community is quiet and friendly. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area and it's centrally located with easy access to the 51. The parking is all covered and I have not had any issues finding a space. Great place to live!
