The Mae is an excellent living experience. The apartments themselves are modern and well designed/finished. The amenities are top-notch (indoor garage parking, good a gym facility, year round pool/hot-tub, etc.). The staff are always friendly and responsive. They make a significant effort to tie the Mae and its residents to the Colorado Springs community through events (with no pressure to participate if you aren't interested/busy). If you are looking to rent, I highly recommend The Mae.

Tera and the entire leading staff at Mae on Cascade are absolutely amazing! I was in a pinch to find an apartment because I was starting a new job a few days later. Originally, I was supposed to live in a different apartment complex. They were not complete with construction and not truthful upfront about the ability to move in to the unit and I was left without a place to live, ruining my original timeline for getting settled into CO Springs before I started work. Tera and her team made sure I was taken care of! I viewed the apartment on Tuesday and signed a lease and had access by Friday (not applying until Thursaday night). Not only that, they made moving in a breeze. I can’t thank this team enough for providing me with a beautiful place to come home to, while also being the most thoughtful, professional, and welcoming team I’ve ever worked with!

I can’t wait to leave. The stomping and noise is ridiculous. The building is built so cheap you can hear everything. Don’t bother with the staff, they don’t care and there will be some new next week…. Then the following week…. Always someone new. The management is by far set up to fail but they don’t seem to care anyways. Even dropping a note to my neighbor could have helped but it should have come to me dealing with it repeatedly.

Very happy living here! The property is beautiful and well taken care of! The manager is kind and always professional! Some of my neighbors well but that’s NOT the property fault! I’m adult enough to understand they can’t control dumb people and frankly that’s everywhere I have lived. But this place is amazing I love coming home at night and relaxing! Definitely 10 out of 10 recommend!

The head manager is awful. Literally like a nightmare when you ask to speak to the manager and it’s her. She doesn’t solve anything. When i wrote a review on the building she pulled me into her office and said “if you’re so unhappy can you be out by the first” so i left by choice and i still haven’t heard back about my security deposit. She wanted to remove me instead of do her job.

The pictures show you the potential it has. So I’ll tell you the issues that I have. The hallways constantly smell like drugs. Dogs have been down at the pool multiple times. Multiple renters I have spoke to complain about how the people in upper apartments are loud. I don’t believe they are loud it’s just that the noise carry’s. It most likely due to how it way built. If you enjoy your windows being open be prepared for the neighbors cigarette smoke to roll in. One main reason I moved here was the alleged smoke free environment. I can’t seem to get away from it here. I even fear of going to work smelling like drugs. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling. I will also say the upkeep in the indoor dog park is very poor. If you take your pet in there, they are guaranteed to step in crap. Also you would think that theft wouldn’t be an issue. If you decide to live here be prepared to keep your belongings on lockdown. If you do decide to move here good luck on not getting a music thumping neighbor. Well that’s my two cents on all the cons.
I have lived in The Mae for the past four weeks and it has been a great experience. Service: Paulita and her team of Markus and Sydney provide responsive high caliber service. They have gone above and beyond to ensure everything is taken care of. Paulita recently put on a community wine and cheese night (with COVID mitigating measures) in the clubhouse that allowed the residents to get to know each other better. I believe the intent is to put on future events like this to grow the sense of community here. The lobby area is designed to promote that sense of community as well. Amenities: Top notch. From the rooftop deck, you have panoramic views of the mountains. The pool and hot-tub on the second floor is situated adjacent to the clubhouse and is heated year round to include heated concrete. The gym has a good assortment of free weights and cardio machines. The only shortfall of the gym is that there are no squat racks or barbells for heavy lifting but I don't believe any apartments downtown have them. There is also a dog park inside the garage. There is also a system where you can open the lobby doors for guests through an app on your phone when the doors are locked after-hours. Apartment: My apartment is very modern and includes a nest thermostat which is handy for when I travel, automatic blinds, and modern appliances. I have had no issues in the four weeks here. Local area: The Mae is on the southside of downtown and it is being developed very quickly; being dubbed 'The New South End'. There are plenty of dining and drinking choices available within one short block of the Mae. Overall, I am very happy with The Mae on Cascade.
I normally do not leave reviews but felt that The Mae is such an amazing property from the smallest of details (an espresso machine in the common area) to a year round heated pool and even a roof top deck you can use to entertain friends and family. This community is so much more than the amazing amenities, Paulita and her team bring a genuine community feel that is a trough back to an era long gone. My wife and I are so happy we chose the Mae to call Home! Sincerely Frank D.
