Property Ratings at Magnolia Gardens
I have been living here for about a year and a half. I have recently been having a lot of contact with police due to a peeping tom! I feel very unsafe here now. I have not felt supported by management through out this whole process. I cannot wait to leave. Additionally, I have seen management ONCE out of the approximately 5 times I had to call (about a maintenance issue typically). Management have even left letters saying they will stop by for routine maintenance, and even then they don't come. I am not one for writing nasty reviews, but I feel obligated to let people know to stay away for their own safety.
I lived in Magnolia Gardens in 2012 and 2013, then I moved to another state. I never had problems living there as reported in other reviews. I lived in second and my neighbors were very nice and quite. I think that find good neighbors is a matter of lucky also. The apartments are OK, no carpet which is wonderful to keep clean and allergy free. The heating is based on water circulation which is better to kept the humidity and cleaner air. I would consider to live there again if one day I come back to NJ. I am very sorry for the other people who had unpleasant time there.
We have lived here for a year and a half and we are SO sorry we signed our last lease!! We have had problems with our upstairs neighbors for almost the whole time we have been here. At least once a week there are loud arguments both inside and outside the apartment, trash strewn all over the front area, too many animals (2 cats and a pit bull) and there are far too many people living in the apartment than probably legal. We called the office to complain and were told we needed to write a letter outlining our complaints. We wrote 2 letters. After the first one a notice was sent but nothing after the second. Very uncomfortable to live here!! Maintenance is very shoddy as well. We have a continuing problem with the drainage in the bathroom. The bathtub will start to clog every couple of months without fail and the bathroom sink will fill up with water from the drain. We have had maintenance over several times and they will fix the problem temporarily but use the excuse that "the buildings are old" to do a permanent fix. Please be warned!
Moral of the store, don't rent here unless you want the world's most annoying neighbors and a property management staff that does nothing! I have several neighbors in my building that play music/TV/movies so loud that my entire apartment rattles and vibrates. At all hours. They are so loud that they have caused actual damage to the apartment's walls (weak spots cave in; if you have anything fragile at all in your apartment it will get damaged by the vibrations). They are so loud that if you turn your TV/stereo all the way up, you can't hear your own TV over their noise. They are this way at all hours. I am not exaggerating here. If you call the management office they literally tell you "All well. We won't do anything. Who cares." Seriously?!? All I want is them to contact the person and give them a reminder! And ask them not to be loud at 4 am on a Wednesday morning.
