Hillcrest is a small, charming neighborhood about 10 miles south of Downtown Oklahoma City. This quiet neighborhood is nestled beside the Hidden Trails Golf and Country Club. Oklahoma City is one of the most affordable places to live in the country and Hillcrest follows suit. The neighborhood has a variety of houses, townhomes, and apartments available for rent at various price points. Restaurants and grocers surround Hillcrest, but residents are able to take a quick drive for more options thanks to Interstate 240, Interstate 44, and U.S. Route 62 nearby. The neighborhood is also near Will Rogers World Airport, which offers flights to some of the country’s biggest cities like New York and Las Vegas.

Property Ratings at Magnolia Village
It's an okay first-timer apartment. The pictures that are posted first show what the inside of all the apartments looks like. It's nothing like the model apartment. The apartment looks great except for the fact that it should look like the model unit for the price. New management and new coworkers are revamping the place, but other than the look it's great.
Management team is lazy. One day I called the office 13 times and they never once answered the phone. As an experiment, I went to the office and watched from outside through the window as the office lady just sat there and watched the phone ring as I called. Laundry rooms were out of service the entire 7 months I lived there. When the office was asked about a time frame for them being operational again, a simple dismissive "I don't know" was the only response I received. They will constantly barage you with emails and text messages threatening to fine you for the slightest things. When a resident was murdered in the parking lot in January of 2023, they didn't even address the event and completely ignored it. The "security" is lazy. He just sits in his SUV and plays on his phone and watches as homeless people dig through the dumpsters and litter the property. I personally witnessed this occurring one day. Would rate negative stars if possible.
Apartment complex is super weird but I haven’t had anything negative happen yet. They let me tour their show apartment which looks nothing like the apartment they gave me. It had white cabinet tops, white cabinets grey painted walls and tiled floors, everything looked new and really nice. My appartment that I didn’t get to see until after I payed rent was dirty and not cleaned, the ceiling was stained as well as the walls, black substance covered the base boards and it ugly stained brown carpet. The cabinets were a dark brown that looked like someone had put glue or wall paper over it and the cabinet top is a weird pale tan color and is peeling, the sink looks like someone had painted it instead of cleaning it and is also peeling as well. I had to wait almost a week for them to clean and repaint my unit before I could move in. I had signed a six month lease but they had extended it another six months without telling me and won’t let me move to another 1bed unit that has tile but will let me upgrade to a 2bed room with tiles. The neighbors are super nice and I haven’t had any problems with home invasion or theft, you do have to be careful where you park because your car will get hit and runned and they don’t have cameras anywhere. Also almost none of the mail boxes locks work and I have my mail sent to a friends house so that no one steals anything. They had security for a little while but not anymore, there are a lot of homeless people digging through the big dumpsters and throwing trash everywhere on the parking lot. They are slowly adding new things like potted plants to front wall way(which are dying) and replacing windows and carpet in other apartments.

None of the units look like the photos or even the model unit they show you. You’re not allowed to tour the unit you apply for until everything is paid for already. AC goes out for months at a time leaving it 80 degrees. No security. I’ve been robbed 3 times since living here. Management doesn’t care. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Requested a 1 or 2 bedroom and got a studio. the management is rude and they dont care about you.
Both sets of management that this place has gone through since i moved in have been horrible. They have the absolute worst maintenance land the front office has a terrible attitude
Within a few days of moving in bed bugs slowly began to appear. I had previously moved from a furnished apartment so I was positive I didn't bring them. I acquired a few pieces of furniture from friends and family AFTER the bugs began to appear and now am having to throw away the few things I have. I notified management and they are doing pest control but next month, pretty upset to be paying rent for an apartment I've barely been in. I've had to rent a hotel room to avoid the pests as much as I can afford. It's pretty disheartening, to say the least, to move in somewhere and not be able to tolerate the conditions in your own apartment. I expressed my concern and asked for a discount or some sort of compensation due to the inconvenience of losing my furniture and the pests themselves and was denied due to the fact they can't pinpoint where the problem is coming from, in retrospect potentially blaming me. Very upset, to say the least, that my first months rent will be collected BEFORE extermination and that this hasn't been fixed immediately. Surprised this is an issue period because I've never dealt with this. I regret moving in if this is a sign of the future and only month one, anyone interested beware and do your research!
DONT LEASE HERE! The units are disgusting from day 1 and assistant man anger and manager would hang up the phone on you if you ask for maintenance on your UNIT. Worst Place to live in SOUTH OKLAHOMA. Please save your time and money, do not rent here!
I love my townhome at Potomac House Apartments!!! It's super spacious!!! I love how the floor plan is set up! And I love my patio!!! The rental rates are reasonable too. Couldn't be happier! :)
