Established in 1942 by the United States Government, Oak Ridge was formed to be the site of the Manhattan Project—the secret World War II program that developed the atomic bomb—and the home base for the tens of thousands who worked on the project, along with their families. Oak Ridge, sometimes referred to as “The Secret City” and “The Atomic City,” became an independent city in 1959. Oak Ridge honors its past with the Manhattan Project National Historical Park, the American Museum of Science and Energy, and the annual Secret City Festival held each June.

We recently moved to the Main Street Lofts Apartments. Our pre-move experience was awesome. Taylor and Hannah made us feel super welcome before, during and after! Kelly was great too. We are very happy to be here and Eliot, our dog, loves the large dog park to run around in. The apartments themselves are clean and new. The counters are finished nicely, the appliances are new and top of the line. We chose a first floor apartment and that can go either way with the folks above you. We have had no issues with noise from the upstairs neighbors. Yes, we can hear them come home, but after that we don't hear them at all. Our first floor neighbors are very nice and quiet as well. The grounds are kept nice although there are some muddy spots in the dog park, but that is still under construction. It is huge as I mentioned above so there is a lot of space for the pups to run around. The bonus, besides being able to have a dog, is the doggy DNA service. Sounds weird but it definitely is a deterrent to people not picking up after their dogs and keeps the place nice. Parking is open and I have not had an issue finding a spot. I think if I were to make one negative-ish comment, it would be one assigned spot would be nice. The upside is that there is no worry about guest parking because it is all open. Garages are available for an additional price if one opens up and that does solve the assigned spot comment. One other thing that we like is that this is not a complex of just young people. There are people of all ages and families here. It is nice to see kids and activities designed for them and a fair share of older folks. Of course there are lots of professionals here too and people from all over.

I love it here the staff is so nice and sweet and makes you feel welcome. If you need anything they are there to help out in every way . The lift is beautiful maintained and it is very clean . I've lived at MSL going on 3 years now. Recently, our HVAC stopped cooling the apartment overnight on a record heat weekend. I put in a request and within the hour, one of the maintenance staff (Eli) came out and resolved it within 10 minutes. I'm so impressed and thankful I didn't have to endure the heat long thanks to their vigilance. Thanks Eli!

Construction is shoddy for something marketed as "Luxury". Management seems very understaffed for the size of the complex. Appliances are mid-tier, would expect something nicer for an actual "luxury" experience. Location is good, and it's a decent value for the price for now. But I don't see these buildings lasting long with how hastily and cheaply they were constructed. Some of the older buildings are already experiencing major issues.

Just moved in and I love it! The buildings are built well and the floorplans are spacious and many amenities to enjoy. It already feels like home in a short couple of days!

Everyone we have encountered innthe community has been very friendly. The maintenance individuals especially are attentive and respond quickly. The front office leasing staff is incredible and they get things done.

Absolutely love this place. We have lived here for 2 months now and I’m so glad we chose Main Street Lofts. The units are very nice with upgraded features. The pool is awesome for the kids. Maintenance is probably the best part. When I say they are on it… They are on it! Everyone is so friendly and our experience so far has been nothing short of excellent.

It is a very quiet and nice (new) apartment complex. The staff are great and very responsive. Maintenance was very quick to get to my apartment to fix even the smallest issues.

The management team is great!! Had a few technical issues being a new building that could have been avoided with an inspection but they were eventually solved. I’m pleased with my choice of Main Street Lofts.

The staff are super nice and were very understanding when I had to re-home a pet. From coworkers and friends, it seems like this is not the norm in Oak Ridge. If you have a pet and want them to be treated like a resident, and not just an add on, that's what you'll get here.

Excellent service from the property managers. A very nice and upscale community, with great amenities, including a very nice pool area with surrounding grills, games and lounging area. Plus amazing fitness center. Pet friendly with it's own dog park, which our Lilith loves. Close enough to the high school for our children to easily walk to. Center of town with all the shops and restaurants also within walking distance. Highly recommend!!

Nice property, but very expensive for such a cheap quality. Wouldn’t do it again, also feel very dismissed by the people in the office. When brought up concerns about an issue that we were having and that the other leasing agent didn’t do anything or give us any updates if she did, she interrupted us and felt the need to defend herself. Just felt very unprofessional.
