Roaches and mice everywhere. Laundry room is always nasty and the ceiling is falling down and the machines never work. Pool has only been opened two weeks in eight years. No volleyball court . Tennis court has been closed for fifteen years because of neglect. You have to buy your own filters for central air and heat. You will be charged for maintenance issues. The only area newly renovated is the property managers office.
New property manager is unprofessional. Property is going down hill fast with her in charge.
Mallard Creek is a really nice place to live. Love the office staff Betty & Kalan. Maintenance staff is good at fixing any issues on time.

This place is awesome!! I love Betty (the property manager) and all of her staff including maintenance department. It's in a great area where we are located close to the water & soccer park.

Excellent place to live, wouldn't go anywhere else. I simply love living there. The community is a quite place to live with all my needs in the location such as grocery stores, parks & pharmacies.
I lived there from 2015 to the end of 2016 for college and I loved it. I had been trying to find a cheap decent place to live for college and searched for awhile. When meeting the property manager for the first time I knew this was an environment I could be around and like! Affordable and a good neighborhood. Any issues I had with my apartment was handled quick and professional. Never had any issues with other residents,employees or the environment.
I think the people who run Mallard Creek are amazing I love my little apartment and I appreciate everything that Betty and her staff have done to make me feel at home! Don't believe things that you hear come yourself and meet the people and get to know the new Mallard Creek
Neighborhood not bad and the soccer complex is in walking distance as well as the city recreation park...however there are soo many roaches and no matter how clean you keep your apartment...you will still have roaches living with you because of not so clean neighbors...i had bugs coming in from the patio door which was in the master bedroom as well...i had to constantly pick up bugs...if you like living like that then maybe its a good place for you but if not you better look elsewhere!!

Sorry to hear you had a bug problem. Mallard creek is unaware of any bug problem other than the boxeller bugs that come off the trees in the fall ad of course we all have those stick bugs too. Mallard Creek exterminates twice a month with a professional company so we wont have any bug problem such as spiders & roaches. . If anyone does happen to see any type of bug and we are aware of the situation our wonderful exterminator will come back out to examine your apartment. Mallard Creek apartments do have sliding glass doors in the master bedroom and when you are opening the door to go out on your deck and you don't use the screen to close off from flies, etc. getting you, bugs do come in. If anyone is having any type of issues, Mallard Creek is always on the spot taking care of any issue's that arrive. Thank you

Sorry you felt this way with Mallard Creek. Mallard Creek does have McNeely pest control contracted out, that comes bi-weekly (twice a month) to do exterminating inside and outside of the property. Mallard Creek does this service for preventative of any type of insect. Mallard Creek was not aware of any resident having a bug problem. For any reason if any resident does have any issue and informs us with anything Mallard Creek does take care of any issue in a timely manner. Once again Mallard Creek is sorry that you had an issue that we were not aware of and we will like to offer you a gift for the issue you complained you had. So feel free to contact our office.
I just wrote a review about Mallard creek apts. Our problem was that no one in mgmt. every contacted my fiamce or I for just simple information and how we go about the process. We called for more info. for over two weeks with no response we left phone numbers and email address. It was a simple request. well this is the second review I have written because somehow our first review was removed. Tennants complained of roaches and ceiling leaks and also leaking pipes under sinks with no one coming by to fix these issues. Therefor we are very happy we never received a call or answer back. Ewww! Its grose having to live like that. I am sure this will get removed again before too many people see it. I am sorry for the ones already tied down to a lease with issues like this. My next letter will be to the Statesville Record and Landmark. So go ahead and remove this 2nd review also. Some serious changes need to be made and we hope you can mange better and do Your job

Sorry to hear that you were not happy with a call back. Mallard Creek is a professional company and according to our phone log in July 2016 every call was answered or return calls were made. Sometimes returning a phone call, the voicemail is not set up or the message center is full, therefore we can't leave a message but we do return calls. Mallard Creek is a professional company and if a resident does have an issue a work order will be processed and the maintenance department will fix any issues in a timely manner.
WE have lived here for 6 yrs. There is no volleyball court, basketball court, and the tennis court is in desperate need of repair.The rent here is fairly reasonable...but you also GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. The apartments themselves are also in need of a lot of attention. The floors need re-carpet or vinyl, counters re-surfaced or re-placed, and bugs...well they are here. Would move if we could afford it...

Sorry to hear about your complaints. Mallard Creek has never had a volleyball court or basketball court on the property. Mallard Creek takes pride in the apartments and appearance of the property. If any resident living at Mallard Creek has any issue, they are to report the issue to the leasing office and all work orders are in the system and all work orders are completed the same day or in a timely manner.
I am happy to be living on my own but sadly, apartment life has not been so good. I want to be in a place where I am comfortable and sadly Mallard Creek does not fill those needs. There isn't much to complain about except for how I have been asking for months for my landlord to fix the issues in my apartment. We have the texture of the ceiling falling down and getting all over the place. We have cockroaches everywhere. I am constantly killing them everyday. Our sink foucets have been leaking, causing my water bill to be more. I don't ask for a lot in a place but this is outrageous. I don't want to have to worry every day whether something else will go wrong. I am hoping to move into a better place come December. Maybe then I can finally feel at home.
Not a bad place but have had many issues trying to get the landlord to fix the problems there. Our ceiling is falling down and our sinks leak constantly. Neighborhood isn't too bad.
This apartment community is versatile for any renter. Young or old. Very very quiet. No problems with parking. Price of rent is reasonable. Property Manager is friendly. Great location beside park and recreation center. Great apartment choice. I am very pleased I picked Mallard Creek!
