Mallard Creek Crossing is an excellent, positive, and safe community area to live in. I love all our awesome amenities and the wonderful events and activities that the leasing office host for residents. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for first class, luxury apartment, in a safe area in the East End outskirts of Metro Louisville to consider Mallard Crossing. Especially professionals!
The recent rent increase is not accompanied by any renovations or updates to the apartments. The move-in condition of the apartment was unsatisfactory, with several broken items and overall uncleanliness. Communication with the leasing staff has proven to be extremely challenging, with a lack of empathy for mental health concerns. Additionally, the stairs leading to the second floor pose a safety hazard.
Always have had a positive experience when needing any work done with maintenance and management. Everyone has been very friendly. I have enjoyed my time here.
Mallard Crossing is an amazing community to be a part of. It’s close to many great spots in St. Matthews, the apartment feels clean and maintained, and management and staff are always very timely. It also always feels safe, as my neighbors are very kind and there’s a good feeling of community. I would highly recommend living at Mallard.

This is my first apartment by myself, and I’ve truly enjoyed my experience at Mallard. There’s always an event going, the neighbors are polite and I’ve had no issues with them, I love the trash services and the fiber internet. The staff in the office has always been kind and quick to resolve any issues, and maintenance is efficient in their repairs. Overall my stay here has been worth it and I look forward to continuing my living at Mallard.

The maintenance team here is amazing! I called them for an AC problem and they were at my door within 15 minutes. The apartment itself is very nice and the location is in a really good area.

I have lived here for a year now. it is not a cheap apartment, so i expected some quality management. Sadly, after management changed hands in Late September, things went sour fast. The management promised when I signed up they would have the laundry room renovated and ready to use in three or four months. it's been a year, and there is no usable laundry room for the complex. I requested someone to come fix my heater in October. Not only did they never fix it, it's almost spring and i now have little need for a heater. Paying rent is a nightmare. Not the price, just the act of paying it. Management is constantly changing the methods of payment they will/won't take. I would have gladly gone elsewhere if I had known living here would be such an ordeal.

Love apt and location. Office staff is top shelf. Maintenance staff go up and above their responsibilities to repair defects and building inefficiencies. Can not fault them for limitations imposed on them

Overall I love Mallard Crossing for its safe, convenient, and fun way of living. Food trucks are a very big plus. The pool. The garbage issue is awful. The service provided is very difficult and they are NOT courteous. The past staff in the office have been wonderful. Maintenance overall has been good to great. I do love living here. Just that darn garbage, lol.??

Would not recommend. From mouse infections, to cockroach infestations, to theft on the property this place is a hassle. They never answer their phones and they treat people terribly. Most recently they towed my truck while I was getting married and honeymooning out of state. Gave 3 days notice all while we were out of town celebrating. No apology or anything and the towing company charged us $25 a day… we got home to today and they towed on the 15th. Do not live here

We are sorry to hear that you are not pleased with our community. As mentioned in the previous reviews, the truck was not owned by a current resident, therefore there was no way for Management to know it belonged to someone in your household. We did provide notice to all current residents.
I wouldn't recommend. It looks pleasant and great but the apartments are poorly constructed, the overall feel is cheap and functional. If my experience was to say anything the leasing office and apartments won't be ready. The gym is down but no work is being done on it and the office said they expect it to be done by end of summer. So they gutted a gym and left it unusable only for work not to be happening. I truly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone even if the referral bonus was a years free rent for me.

A wonderful, well kept community that provides great amenities, such as pool, gym, and on occasion food trucks and movie nights. Parks are within walking distance and malls and hospitals are very close. In my 4 years living here it has been safe, rewarding and fun.

Everyone’s report about mold is 110% correct — safe to assume every single unit is infested. When we brought this to the property’s attention and provided them with a $400 bill from a mold inspection company who found two separate colonies of mold growing in the apartment, Karen’s solution was to send ServPro out to “clean our vents.” I came home from work while ServPro was cleaning and when I asked the gentlemen about mold/if they cleaned the source (the disgusting, dripping HVAC unit) they all had no idea what I was talking about and said that they were told to clean the vents and that was all. We finally got out of our god forsaken lease and had to leave behind/get rid of a lot of furniture due to the mold infestation. Our unit was on the second floor and there were multiple holes in the ceiling and walls on the outside of the building, allowing for critters to make nests inside the walls of our master bedroom and closets. This issue was mentioned to property staff countless times before Karen ASSURED US the issue was resolved… Tell me why I walked outside a minute after receiving her email and watched a squirrel crawl right into the hole we were promised was closed?? It seems like this property’s goal is to take as much money from tenants as possible and then not use it to fix the homes that these tenants are renting. DO NOT LIVE HERE
