I have lived in Mandalay Palms apartments for over a year and am Absoutley happy here. Great Management and Maintaince Staff well kept grounds security onsite and cameras DPD policed also very quiet night and day. I am enjoying my 1 bedroom flat apartment. Have had no major issues. When I call for maintenance I get prompt service.
I am a tenant been living here for two years. The pros is they work with you if you late in rent but they harrass you and post notices that invades a tenate privacy. They also, have backed up orders that things need fixing are not fixed in a timely manner. They don't do proper make ready for the next tenate moving it regards to cleaning and repairing things before a new tenate moves in. The management there are not customer service friendly. The parking fir visitors are horribke they want you to register the visitor license plates. People move in but don't stay long due to not reparing things in a timely manner and harrassing you by texting your phone and emailing yiu to collect rent. The apartments look nice outside but lack of customer service is the biggest and not repairing things in a timely manner.
I went there to inquire on availability. Apartment agent doesn't acknowledge you when walking in. Two men arguing in office about water running from 3rd floor to 2nd floor. Stood there for 10 minutes, then walked out.
"Notice of Lease Violation," from Mandalay Palms, which is only in retaliation of my contacting Code Compliance and Adult Protective Services. They claim I flushed plastic down the toilet and it caused damage. Weird how they have had plumbing issues throughout the place. Plus, they are underhanded, so you don't want to involve yourself with this property. I have actually contacted lawyers because of their insolence. They prey on those who cannot defend themselves and just have to live here. Well, I abide by the law and will use the law.
I came home from work and the maintenance men where having a party in my area of the complex (they don't live there by the way) they had their little gathering and then left the cases the beer and eaten sunflower seeds every where considering the fact they are suppose to keep the place clean it stayed like that for 3 days. The leasing manager has 3-4 people as receptionist (and nothing still gets done) you gotta go through a whole army just to speak with the leasing manger and even then he is full of it. Its not that these apartments are bad, the community is quiet, nothing ever happens except peoples mail DOES GET STOLEN! so try not to have anything too important sent to you. Even though he built a gate around it nobody locks it back so whoever it is taking things is still able to steal. The apartment itself is cool, its the workers/owners always trying to find a new way to get money out of the tenants. so be prepared to come out of pocket for no reason. They call themselves upgrading but everything they touch ends up broken and they charge you for it! If your looking for quality its not here this is one of those places you stay till you can afford a better apartment. A just for now till the come up place.
Me and my family are honestly grateful and blessed for even getting into this apartment comjng out of an shelter going through hard times. Me and my family have been trying to make the best out of it but their are so many thjnga wrong.My review for my apartment complex is way past poor. Huge bug problems, sanitary problems and hazardous problems. For example, air conditioner always breaks, multiple floods and mold problems. Holes everywhere for bugs to come in. Maintenance never follows up. Me and my husband have two children and it is unsafe for them. We do not want to renew our lease because of these problems, but at the same time are thinking of renewing because we can afford it because we are under housing. But we are willing to get out of housing because the problems are so bad at our apartments. I do not suggest anyone to live here for a period of time. I think me and my family deserve free rent because we have been working hard for our family to not be homeless again.
