There’s contrast in Mars Hill’s neatly laid out residential streets and the industrial and recreation spaces directly to the east. Situated within the Interstate 70 and 465 loop just southeast of Downtown Indianapolis, Mars Hill provides affordable low-rise apartments, townhomes, and single-family homes just fifteen minutes from the city.
The nearby rock quarry is the area’s largest direct employer, but many renters take the short commute into the city or the surrounding communities for work. You’ll find pubs and locally owned restaurants near the interstate, and more recognizable chains along Kentucky Avenue. Conveniently located, Mars Hill lies only eight miles from the Indianapolis International Airport and six miles from the infamous Indianapolis Speedway.

Property Ratings at Mann Village Apartments
I can't begin to say enough about where I live. I am always proud to say "Mann Village" when I am asked where I live. The staff is very helpful and innovative, they are always eager to help. And maintenance, well they are the super best. They are always there when needed ASAP. The grounds are kept up beautifully and getting better all the time. The guys are always eager to please, as are the office girls. I feel at home here and would not want to live anywhere else. I love my little apartment. This is a Happy Community! - Kathleen B.
Beware: This place used to be a great place to live. No problems really and office staff where great. but in February this place was bought by Glick Housing and now it's more shady then ever. The manager is very unprofessional and can't even talk to her residents to their faces, won't give you the time of the day, and just over all has a bad attitude. Don't plan on having a good conversation with her. Not only have I had bad experiences, but all my neighbors also are moving out because of the manager and the shady staff. Also everything is really cheaply made and it's falling apart. They might say they are fixing it but I doubt it. Renter beware.
My husband and I rented from a complex near by for a year. We had inconsiderate neighbors and the staff was negligent at best. We had trouble with EVERYTHING. The staff at Mann Village was quick to fix what needed to be before we had even finished moving in, our neighbors are friendly and quiet, and you can't hear all the noises from 465 and Kentucky ave. from here. We're really enjoying being able have peace and quiet. Not to mention, having your own yard and patio!
I have lived here three years now. I just signed another lease going on my fourth year. I couldn’t ask for a better place to raise my Son. It's nice and peaceful. Grounds are always kept up. ? The girls in the office are always helpful. Maintenance responds to matters quickly, unless they are backed up. I’ve never had issues w/ them and think they are a great group of guys. I also love the fact that they are all one story; it helps a great deal when you have to unload groceries. Mann Village is a place you can call home.
Haven't been here for a very long time yet, but over all staff is great. Community is kept neat & clean. Plenty of closets, and storage spaces. Great location.
We looked everywhere a few years ago for a new apartment. We had a list and had made up our minds that at least half the items on our list had to be in what we found. I can not tell you what it was like to find Mann Village and know that all the items on our list were here. Quite and friendly were on the list. We would drive by at different times and check on out side noise. We would stop and just talk with people ( not telling them we were looking ) and found out so much. All of it great news. The price of our apartment was very fair. Being one floor was just what we had hoped for. The grounds was free of trash and looked great, and we found out we could add our own flowers, well, that was an answer we couldn't find elsewhere. We were so happy, or thought we were till we moved in. That's when we found out what happy was. The staff here is wonderful. Not fake like so many. They want to talk to you, and best of all, they listen. The grounds keeper we have is a very friendly person,he does a great job. He's the type of person you like to be around. The crew that take care of our apartments is one of the best we have seen. Always working to get whatever needs done, done. We have never in the years we've been here had a problem with them not taking care of anything we've turned in. The office staff..WOW ! You would have to get to know them as we have. They work with you to make living here LIVING IN YOUR OWN HOME , not just an apartment. We just signed another year's lease, and was very happy to do so, in fact I cried as we did.My husband and I are home.
Been here since 2010 and I am happy so far....this past year they've improved a lot. The complex always looks so clean and they keep upgrading and changing things. The girls in the office are great! Always in good spirits and love to joke around, not stuck up or anything. The maintenance guys are quick and efficient. Things are always done right the first time. Overall the staff at Mann Village has made the transition from being a homeowner to an apartment, extremely easy.
Hello, Just wanted to put my 2 cents in!! This is my 3rd time living in Mann Village Apartments since they were built I think back in 1980 somthing??? I have always liked living here.. Seems as though you have your own little space to make your own... Have never had a problem with Maintenance or Office Staff. Never had a problem with getting a Maintanance issue fixed timely. The leasing office has changed staff a little and everyone is still very helpful and nice. I would tell anyone who is looking for a quiet, peaceful place to pick Mann Village.. You will love it... *smh*
I have lived here for almost a year and absolutely love it here! Maintenance is by far the best I have encountered in any apartment I have ever lived in. Any time I have a a maintenance problem it is always fixed right away (usually the same day). The people who work in the office are always friendly and have parties for the residents several times a month. There are not many amenities here but the customer service I receive makes it well worth living here.
I've lived at Mann Village for almost 3 years and I love it. I looked around quite a bit before renting and for this area, it's the best value. Rent is a little high for the size, but you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay more for better service and upkeep. Whenever I call in a service issue, it's done same day...sometimes within the hour. They are always trying to improve things on the property which is nice. The office staff is phenomenal....best it's been since I've lived here! They are always super helpful. Whenever I have a problem, the manager is on it-immediately!! The complex always looks so nice and clean and they have different events for us every month!!! My only hope is they don't keep raising the rent....
I lived here for 3 years. Quiet for the most part. I was told when I moved in that my porch would be painted, it was not. I asked every year to have it painted and every time I was told I was at the top of the list, never happened. Roads and sidewalks need lots of work. The Receptionist is nice but others are rude. I always used the after hours deposit box so I didn't have to deal with rude people. The rent went up every year with no improvements to the property, and its supose to be based on your income, my income did not go up. They estimated my income at $5,000-8,000 MORE than what I made and the explaination was "That's just the way it is".
Please do not rent from this complex. The apartments have a lot of cosmetic flaws that you are not allowed to see until you move into your apartment. You are handed a move in sheet and given 20 minutes to fill it all out when you are given your keys. Your actual apartments looks nothing like the model's perfect cabinets and bathroom fixtures. Once you are moved in you may want to be prepared for a major water problem with your apartment. My family had to endure 2 1/2 weeks of extremely wet carpet over half of the apartment ( sparing only our daughters room# while the maintenance men #term used very loosely here) tried to figure out the problem. Finally, the tub and dishwasher were found to be the problem. I would have hoped that they figured out from this that caulk does not fix holes in the bathtub drain, nor does duct tape fix problems with dishwashers. We are unfortunately not the only family who has had to deal with this. As I write this in June of 2013, I am watching another apartment across the street from me having to have carpets cleaned due to flooding. This makes the 4th time since ours that I have witnessed this in our building or directly across the street. If you do choose to rent here, make sure that you keep your renter's insurance current and make sure you have water damage on the policy.
Although I haven't moved there, I did take a tour of one of the apartments... I was very impressed with the ammenitites and the layout and storage was just the best.. The staff was very helpful and informative..I would recommend these apartments to anyone who is looking for a "home".

We have lived in the apartments for three years. Positive Notes: Always clean facility, maintenance/workers are helpful when there is a problem & come check it out same day (sometimes within the hour), quiet and peaceful, plow snow very well on the roads, workers always update us on events and check ups.. overall, great things to say! Negative Notes: No updates (old cabinets, closets, carpet, etc.), limited storage space, only has plowed/shoveled snow on the side walks one time since we moved in, able to hear neighbors who live next door very well sometimes (I think it depends which room they are in)... Side notes: Very distinct smell in the apartment (possibly from carpet, which hasn't been changed for a LONG time). You definitely get used to it though. Have only witnessed police officers in the apartment complex twice. Very safe place, overall. **I would recommend this apartment complex to others; however, it's not big and not a lot of room. It's clean and quiet. Good place to raise a family or to move into if you're single as well.
