Property Ratings at Mansfield Terrace Apartments
This place is horrible. Property unkept and not clean. Building entrance doors are always broken. Homeless people are frequently in the building living in the garage stairs. Residents have no respect for noise. Loud music constantly. Dogs barking all day. Kids skateboard in the garage which makes loud noises throughout the building. Dogs potty on elevator and in the halls no one cleans it up. Cigarettes smokers in halls and elevator even though it’s a “non smoking building”. Leasing manager and staff does nothing about it.
This is the BEST apartment I have ever lived in. Period. From the stylish updated apartments full of amenities including a dishwasher, washer/dryer IN UNIT, and a patio to a building manager named Maria that I can only describe as an absolute angel (she made moving in fast, easy, and effortless) to a maintenance team that responds immediately to any request to a building with a chill vibe that anyone is LA would love to SO MUCH MORE. I can see myself staying here for a very very long time. You will not be disappointed.
All I have to say about this building and the management is that they are great!! I’m a resident of this building and my apartment is super cute and I have an amazing view. Maria the manager is super nice and she will help you in whatever you need super fast. Josue the maintenance guy as well, whatever you need in your apartment he will solve it ASAP. The problem that I had in other buildings I used to live was that they have a super poor organization and a really bad management team. They didn’t help me at all and they took years to solve an issue. I’m super happy I don’t have those problems anymore :)
Trust me. I lived here up until recently. In the year that I lived here, the following issues took place. 1) My living room was flooded from the dishwasher leading to the damage of the kitchen wall’s, baseboards and several personal items. 2) My bathroom’s ceiling suddenly collapsed one day due to months of water damage from an unknown leak caused by an improperly installed bathtub drain in the upstairs unit (their plumber’s exact words) and a portion of the ceiling, the circumfrence of a tire, had to be removed and repaired. 3) The repairs on the bathroom ceiling were never fully completed or painted afterward. 4) The provided Refrigerator malfunctioned three times destroying perishable contents inside each time and it took then 10 days to get it fixed the first time. 5) The elevator (in a three story building) almost never worked the entire time and had still not been fully repaired. 6) The weeks of construction in an attempt to improve the property lead to invasive construction workers who let themselves in without notice and did not securely lock up the apartment upon leaving. 7) I experienced an assault by a transient man on the grounds shortly after moving in which I reported to the previous manager but never heard back on. 8) Someone tried to break into my apartment on Halloween night this past fall and the local sheriffs department took two hours to come out and check on AFTER nobody was available to speak to on the apartments emergency maintenance line. 9) Mice, rats and feral cats roam the courtyard and garage. 10) The garage doors did not work for the first few weeks upon my moving in. 11) the construction crew took my assigned parking space for 3 weeks causing me to have to park out on the street which lead to a few parking tickets. When I brought this up to the manager, nothing was done about it for weeks. 12) Tenant’s mailboxes were constantly found open and packages have been stolen. 13) The Management company is run by cold and inept individuals. 14) Disruptive transients loiter around the property often. 15) Despite several of the units being updated with new paint and attractive yet cheap flooring, the building is old and gives you the impression it has a lot of problems once you’re in it.
Property Manager at Mansfield Terrace Apartments, Responded To This Review
I am so sorry to hear that you had all of these issues. The building is currently under new management and we have resolved all of the above issues. The new management has worked very hard to make Chateau Mansfield Apartments the place you want to live. Thank you. -Managment
The price of the apartments is reasonable. The carpet is poorly installed and the building is quite a bit older. The water pipes are rusted so you get rust stains on the bottom of the bath tub. There aren't cameras so the grounds aren't very secure and there have been multiple instances of homeless people in the courtyard and even trying to get into apartments.
