Property Ratings at Mansions at Delmar
We have been living at Mansions at Delmar about 2+ years. we are enjoyed stay at here, epically the small trail inside the community. It is also close to the Y for exercise.
I am current resident of the mansions and have been for a while now and I’d love to share with you some of my positive experiences so far... First off, the office staff are AMAZING. Seriously, whoever is in charge of hiring these people is doing a fantastic job. Maintenance is also fantastic, I have had a few maintenance requests for simple things and they have always fulfilled those requests in a timely manner (usually same day.) All of the maintenance men here are very friendly and I have never had an issue, please do not pay any attention to the scorned reviews from others on here regarding maintenance... They all do an amazing job and are happy to take care of even the smallest stuff. The Mansions are SO well located and that has been great for me, we are nestled in a very quiet and calm community but are still 15 minutes from everything in Albany. Lastly, and most importantly to me, The Mansions are INSANELY pet friendly. There are so many dogs in this community and the Mansions do a wonderful job catering to them with pet events and ensuring responsible ownership. This is the only place wishing 30 minutes that would allow us to have our German Shepherd, not only did they allow him but they welcomed him and show him so much love. We will be getting another Shepherd here soon. I am eternally grateful to have found a place so accepting and friendly to my dog who would not be allowed in any other rental locally. If you have a breed that is typically difficult to find housing for, call the Mansions and ask about their short list of breed restrictions to see if this place will be a good fit for you. A sincere thank you to all the wonderful employees at the Mansions!!!!!! Ps. Benjamin, a leasing agent at the office, deserves a raise!

The office and Maintainance staff are professional, caring, and ready to meet any need you have or answer any question. The grounds are kept in beautiful condition. There are fun and creative events constantly happening. The pool area is a nice respite in the summer. If you have a dog you feel very welcome. The layout of the apartments is really smart and my second floor unit has high ceilings which is really wonderful to find in apartment living.
I would recommend this apartment community because it?s a beautiful environment and it meets the needs of anyone from a single person to a new couple to a family. This community has a safe and entertaining place for renters child(ren) and is specious as well.
Apartments and grounds are beautiful , feel very safe here, enjoy the nice walking paths all around. Love having the attached garage and my own washer and dryer.
It is easy to live here and the facilities and grounds are very well maintained!

I would recommend the community due to the efficiency of the staff and the prompt service that we get every time we call for service . All our request are answered promptly and very timely. Courteous staff too.

Walls are extremely thin. I had a single tenet living above me and I could hear her every word and movement even though she was very quiet. If there had been children or tenets I would not have been able to tolerate it. Other than that this complex is absolutely perfect.

The staff is friendly and really helpful. The apartments are beautiful and really clean. Many other complexes we looked at were outdated and had stable odors in every apartment. The clubhouse is beautifully maintained as well as the fitness center and gorgeous pool.
I think the buildings are old and poorly made. I am baffled as to why the single apts are in lower level and family size units are second floor. Makes for more noise for singles. Not much privacy. At night place is lit up like a Christmas tree.
Although the rent is high compared to other apartments in the area, you get more amenities than the others, including washer and dryer in apartment, full size garage leading into apartment and an unsurpassed staff and maintenance that are always helpful with any situation that arises.
I have rented apartments or condos in many cities and my home at the Mansions of Delmar is by far the best ever. The apartments, buildings and surrounding grounds are meticulously maintained, and my unit has all the special touches (lots of indoor and outdoor space and natural light, granite countertops, espresso cabinets, stainless steel appliances, spacious garage) that make it a lovely home. I really enjoy the Mansions’ amenities, particularly the fitness center; and the management and maintenance staffs are very attentive and responsive to tenant needs. The Mansions is an outstanding community and I am happy to be a part of it.

I love my home at the Mansions. The buildings, apartments and surrounding grounds are beautifully maintained thanks to Carol, Lynn, Hailey, Chris and Mike. I was not sure I wanted to live in a pet permitted community, but it has not been an issue. Few disturbances and most everyone has been friendly.
I would recommend this apartment community because all of the staff here are professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of their responsibilities. The grounds are very well kept and any issues are resolved within 24 hours.

A hot tub. And better grounds maintenance. Big pile of pavement pieces in front of my apt from snow plowing. And garbage from garbage cans are all over. I love the staff and the dog park.

Like the location and the walking area. It’ also depends on who rents the adjoining apartment. I have been very fortunate. I have lived here 15 years and my apartment could use a little updating, I was told the carpeting could be replaced, but I.would have to remove all the furniture. So they agreed to clean my rug for now. There are other things that could be replaced, but don’t want a raise in my rent.
I have been a resident for 10 years here, so I do feel that reflects my satisfaction with the place :). I am unhappy about certain things that I feel are out of my control as a resident and it is frustrating at times. During the seasons other than winter, we get a high volume of bugs in our apartment seeping through the cracks. Maintenance has attempted to address it by having Terminex come to spray; but ultimately it never solved the problem. I do feel they did what was in their capability of doing, but as a resident to have to deal with crickets, stink bugs, ants, and various forms of beetles that I didn't even know of till now, has been distributive. This past spring it became so bad that Carol from the leasing office proposed that workers come in to strip our carpet and address what could be going on structurally (that was at least my understanding of it). But consequently we would've had to stay in the model apartment for an undefined amount of time. I work from home making jewelry and all of my supplies are in this apartment. Unfortunately, because we were given inconclusive timeframes of how long the work would take; shifting like that and putting my business on hold was inconvenient. Aside from that; we were told we had to literally move everything... I don't think they realized that our family and friends live far away such as several hours and some across the country so it's not as though we can just up and move everything and find storage for it. It's one thing moving into another apartment permanently; but to have to do such a significant move of furniture just to move it back in however many days later was unreasonable. There have been multiple times I have thought to reach out to whoever over sees this property, but because I knew that maintenance and the leasing office was aware of our issues, I didn't want to seem as though I was going over their head to complain. They were always very sympathetic and apologetic that we were going through this issue with insects every year in our apartment and every year offered the terminex services. But with the amount of insects we get and the size of the bugs we get every year, it goes deeper than an issue that Terminex can successfully solve. The people at the leasing office and maintenance are aware of this, and we do feel at a loss here. Maybe I have been foolish to re-sign every year despite these flaws. But I've always tried to see that there was more positive about this apartment then negative.
Mike is fantastic, professional, friendly and always willing to help or go the extra mile. He resolved my issue in a timely effective manner and it is obvious he works very hard to take care of us all here. Most certainly provided a positive experience. Thank you Mike!
So far, I like what I see. I can only base this on the staff in the leasing office so, based on that, I would recommend The Mansions.
I would recommend this complex as the apartments are very nice and the complex itself is well lit, and the staff is very nice.
I would recommend the Mansions because the property is very well managed and maintained, apartments are nicely appointed with a modern design and the community amenities are a bonus.

This is best kept, well maintained, friendliest and animal conscious community I have lived in since living in New York State. My fur kids and I are extremely happy living here.
The pictures for this community does not reflect how beautiful this place really is. Everything was up to date and the staff has been amazing answering all my questions. It's also conveniently close to work and family.
I would definitely recommend this apartment since I have been very fortunate to have quiet neighbors overhead. Also understand that you could also have noisy neighbors overhead -- not considerate of others.

The complex is quiet clean, well manicured landscapes and many pleasant people, children and pets Ethnicity is mixed and that leads to a exposure to new experiences as well. KEY overall is feeling safe rather than being fearful over crime.
We would recommend one reason is it's location.
With the name and price and even the pictures on the website, I was expecting a lot more from the apartment. The appliances are very outdated. I gave away a better washer/dryer because the apartment came with one, but the ones in the apartment I haven't seen since my childhood. But because of the outstanding office personnel, maintenance staff, location and overall atmosphere I am loving my stay so far.

All staff have been very friendly and professional since I started my journey to become a member of the community back in August 2016. My dogs and I feel very comfortable, welcome and we are pleased with our decision to make the Mansions our "home" :)

This is a great spot to live with the attention to detail and proactive approach to maintenance.
The apartments themselves have some issues - not the best quality for the price. But good enough. The number of hidden fees are quite off-putting, and it deterred a friend who was considering a year lease here. It is the staff that makes me consider staying here longer, as well as some key living items, like a porch/balcony, good washer and dryer in unit and a garage. I do wish that the hotel scent in the lobby could be discontinued. It is awful and so strong and it must be terrible for the health of the staff. It even extends to the fresh air by the pool on teh weekends and it is unpleasant (and I personally am allergic to it, so I cannot use the pool or gym or enter the office because of it.)
