The apartment floor plans are amazing. Most if not all have a built in desk. Some floor plans offer a garage. Covered parking is available monthly. Plenty of regular parking. The community is pet friendly. The price is inexpensive compared to older apartments in the area. They have huge garden tubs in every unit. I never hear any noise. Maintenance request are completely quickly. Hot tub and pool on site. Staff very friendly.
The trash situation at this complex is awful. There is only one trash compactor for the entire complex. It is always overflowing and disgusting. On top of that you are required to pay for valet trash, but they never take out our trash even when I follow EVERY direction. Then management says that's my fault and asks me to take my own trash to the compactor or I'm going to be fined (compactor is already disgusting and full) this complex is cheap, the appliances are all falling apart or will while you live here.

The model we were shown was completely deceptive. Moved in and the apartment has paint chipping everywhere, cracks in bathroom tile, cracks in floorboards. The place is infested with ants and bugs that get in through the patio and under floorboards. You also have to watch your bill because they will overcharge you or double bill you for things. Walls are so thin and there’s constant banging on the walls and slamming doors. Moving here is one of the worst mistakes I have made in my life. Was planning on making this place my long term home however, after all of the problems I will not be renewing my lease. Office staff is clueless, rude, and no help at all.

Off of Carrollton pkwy and Sam Rayburn 121, the mansions at sunset ridge is isolated to its own side of the highway. This means no traffic and a lot less random visitors since it is isolated. However a short 2 mile drive in almost any direction will put you in a main shopping area. Not to mention it is fairly priced, with many floor plans and styles available. The complex itself is only a few years old. There are three pools, two sets of trails and several grills stationed around the complex and I hardly see anyone while I walk, swim or grill. It is truly serene
My maintenance requests are addressed in a very timely manner. Grounds are clean and apartments are updated relatively well.
Prompt and courteous maintenance staff, most requests are handled same or next day. Large garages are a huge plus. Even one bedroom units can have 2 car tandem attached garage. Beautiful pools. Typical noise levels for an apartment complex but nothing crazy. Love the private location.
Beautiful and secluded apartments in prime Carrollton location. All units are upgraded with granite counter tops and stainless appliances. Large 2 car tandem garages. Love the maintenance stuff, quick and provide great work. Property grounds and pools areas well maintained. I've done the research and they are the best deal for your dollar in this area, especially if you are looking for a garage. The only negative is the gates break a lot and remain open but since it's the only thing on a dead end street, there's not a lot of unwanted traffic.
For the past three years, I lived in the Mansions at Sunset Ridge in Carrollton, Texas, a secluded apartment community away for the hustle and bustle of North Texas life but minutes away from the best shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. I can see cows grazing from my apartment window and at the night the lights coming from nearby Plano and the Dallas Tollway. The apartments offer two pools, which are family friendly and perfect for spending a warm summer night lounging in. The complex is quiet, diverse with a mixture of families and singles who in the daytime work so parking is plenty during the day. I did live in a one bedroom apartment in the community with a garage and it was great have the covered parking and extra storage space but I don't miss it now that I live in a two bedroom on the third floor. And maintenance requests are quick and fast. I submit my request online and the maintenance crew is always knocking by the next morning ready to take care of the problem. I've lived in some not so great places, but the Mansions at Sunset Ridge have so far lived up to their name. I hope to renew my lease in December 2015.
I love our new apartment complex. The place itself is only a few years old. The appliances are new and the quality you get for what you pay is outstanding. I'm giving it a 4 star review because there are some things that I see going in here that are not cool. We live in thr 1st floor so we noticed the guy up over us throwing his cigarettes over the balcony into our patio. They are also pretty heavy walkers and we can hear their footsteps at night. Another thing is that being on the first floor we are near the stairwell and the door everyone comes in and out of so we here people running down the stairs, people moving in and out, and the door open and close in the mornings and evenings when people come home. That stuff is pretty situational though and depends on where you kive within the unit building. One last thing is that trash is picked up outside your aparment unit on mondays and fridays only and costs $14 onto your monthly rent. So if you have stinky trash, you have to take it to the dumpster yourself. Other than that the pool area is nice and clean. Management is friendly and considerate. Gym is pretty nice. Except there is one broken machine they haven't fixed yet. The area is pretty quiet. People are friendly. We live in the back so our view is the green fields and farm. Plenty of storage. A huge variety of floor plans that come with garages. It's overall very new and clean and just relaxing to live here. My husband and I give it two thumbs up ????
We have lived here for over 2 years and absolutely love it! The complex is in a great location right off Sam Rayburn and very close to I-35. It's in a quiet and safe area, but everything is still close. The staff is so nice and helpful.
This apartment complex is nestled right off of Carrollton Parkway. These apartments are truly luxury living but is very budget friendly. The stone work on the outside of the buildings makes you proud to call this place home. The office staff goes out of the way for their tenants. The apartments are upgraded, adorable, and best of all affordable. The layouts make you feel like you are living in a house and the rooms are so well designed. If you want luxury living and great space but budget friendly come check this place out!!!
I had been looking for and apartment for sometime after countless drives scheduling showings I came to Mansions at Sunset Ridge. Staff was very professional understanding of my needs and accommodations. I was set on my next home.
I'm so pleased with these apartments. The location is perfect. Close enough to be anywhere and do anything in the metroplex easily, but secluded enough to be quiet and safe. Apartments are lavish and include all appliances, NICE appliances. The staff are kind, helpful, and prompt. All the facilities are clean and maintained. You get so much for your money here, I can't justify living anywhere else. Perhaps the only drawback is that the speed bumps are large and bountiful, but that's the price I pay for having a low riding car. Apart from that, I can't say anything negative about my experience living here so far!
