Property Ratings at Manzanita Gate
Old, noisy, lots of fees. Is in league with a tow truck company that prowls the parking lot at night looking for excuses to tow you. Cabinets, counters are all cheaply made. Severely overpriced for what it is. Move anywhere else. Management doesn't care about residents, only their money.
One of the first things that grabbed us about this property was location. Whether it be shopping, schools or highway 80 they are all within a couple of miles. The apartments are all modern and well maintained with a patio that allows grills. Manzanita Gates also allows pets which is a nice convenience. However, most importantly the staff here are incredible. They are always easy to help with anything you need. Joanne has been a god send. The maintence staff is incredible!!! Our A/C stopped working in the middle of a heat wave and the guys were over thawing our system out and making sure everything works within hours.
Relocating to Reno was a bit of a shot in the dark for us, but we are very grateful to have found this community. We were eager to move in before starting our new jobs and Manzanita Gate was the only property I could successfully speak to a leasing agent. Every time we've called, each person answering has been courteous and helpful. Richard was extremely helpful with our application process and was very quick to respond. The management has quickly resolved any challenges we've encountered and we are grateful to be 'home'. The units are roomy and the buildings are nicely spaced. The property is clean and quite. Located at the top of Robb Drive gives us great views from anywhere in the community. Our apartment has been well maintained the amenities are accessible by appointment. Bus line is near by. Food, retail and necessities are less than 2 miles away.
I'm glad I found this apartment not knowing anything about Reno. I relocated for work from the Washington DC area and this place exceeded my expectations. It's nestled in a secluded area but not too far away from stores and I-80. The apartment itself is pretty small being 655 sq. ft. but is perfect for a single person. The fact they allow you to have pets and a grill on your balcony really won me over. Staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Oh and the parking... plenty of it unlike some places I've stayed and visited in Reno. The only negative thing about this place is the small kitchen space. I had to purchase my own microwave and eventually turned part of my living room into a kitchen and eventually my balcony was also considered a kitchen with the electric smoker and gas grill I was allowed to have too.
