Property Ratings at Maple Glen
I relocated from Sonoma County, CA to 121 Dowd Avenue, in Canton, CT almost 6 years ago. I am disabled, but ambulatory, and sought a quiet, friendly, adult environment, and that's what I found here at Maple Glen Apartments. The location is ideal. It's right off Route 44, and the picturesque village of Collinsville is just a mile down the road. Maple Glen is tucked into a beautiful, wooded area filled with wildlife. Deer and groups of wild turkeys regularly graze and peck in our backyards, and the occasional black bear will poke it's head around, but have never posed any threat to the property and it's residents. The beautiful walking trails that lead down to the Farmington River run right along our property. We are walking distance to coffee houses, great restaurants, the new CHI Healing Center, antique & vintage shops, general shopping, and the town's annual Lobster Festival is held in the field adjoining our property. The age group of tenants is quite varied, but is an "Over 55" subsidized community. The apartments are sized well, from 1 to 2 bedroom units on either the 1st or 2nd floor. As past tenants move on, the units are updated, along with appliances, for the new tenants. Is it Sonoma County, CA? No, but it's a beautiful corner of CT, a state I am so proud to now be a resident of.
