Property Ratings at Mapleridge
When I first moved it in, it was great but now it is the worst place to live. I have complained several times about the person above me letting her kids run through the hallway at 4-5am in the morning. Bumping and making all types noise. Nothing has been done about it. The hallway always smells and the carpet is dirty. The apartments in the front by the office gives an illusion that this is a great place to live but honesty it is not. People are constantly fighting in their apartment or outside the apartment and nothing is done about this. Once my least is up I am leaving and never looking back!
The property isn't being maintained like it was. The carpeting in the hallways is a disgrace and the laundry facilities are filthy. Don't move into building 4. I've lived here for over 13 years and the woman upstairs seems to have a side job reupholstering furniture. Shell keep it up until the wee hours of the morning. Management doesn't do anything about it and calling the police multiple times doesn't seem to be a deterrent. I slipped on glare ice last winter and was off work for weeks. I can't wait to move in the spring. The ladies in the office are as nice as can be but their hands are tied on these issues. I feel sorry for them.
I've been here over a year now. You will not find a more friendly atmosphere when walking into the leasing office. The ladies know and practice outstanding customer service. The Maintenance department is the best bar none. If there is a problem they are there to help within minutes not hours. I called around before I moved here and was surprised how many rude people I talked to. Not the case at Maple Ridge they really wanted me to come live there. Thanks again for all you guys do! Sledge
If you get a one bedroom near the front of the complex, you are treated like gold. However, if you live in the back of the complex, forget about it. Water is not free, but it is included in your rent for a small fee. Wires hang out from underneath light fixtures, ready to zap someone. Customer service at the front desk is moderate at best. Yes, I completely understand that things do break down, and need to be repaired. But not the same things 2, 3, 4, 5 times of maintenance coming into our apartment to fix them. They had started to make adjustments to the balconies, and certain staff members need to realize that people do have work schedules. Some even have multiple or extended work schedules. So yes I may have not always been readily available to let someone come into my apartment for repairs, but there are polite ways of handling situations when people are paying you hundreds of dollars to live there every month. Trash, dog feces, and cigarette butts are everywhere in the complex. There is no tennis court. It's a fenced area with a few metal poles and a barely there net. The bark park is also a joke, a fenced in area doesn't make a good area for people to want to bring their dogs. There are agility tubes and ramps that you could put in if you wanted to. Granted they have upgraded the washer and dryer system, and it works a lot better than it used to. They have updated the landscaping a bit and put new siding on some parts of the buildings. Some balconies have been slightly adjusted, but buyer beware we haven't really been able to use ours since the day we moved in. They raised rent claiming it was all just adjustment in market value. Well, it's just not worth market value when you don't even have the amenities that other complexes in the area have. There isn't a swimming pool, no fitness center, no clubhouse, just a couple of excuses for amenities. The location is great, but there isn't much for the residents to keep their intrest in staying.
Group Five Management operates several properties in the mid Michigan area and it just doesn't have the customer service experience to handle multiple sites. Multiple outstanding maintenance requests, noisy neighbors, and loud music from parked cars. I do not recommend this property. And the water is NOT free and the manager does NOT live on site.
Took a look at floor plans and amenities for this property this month. Initially liked what I saw, price reasonable, new siding on all units. Drove through the property during the day; lots of potholes in parking lots and on Ridgebend Dr. After reading another review about the exterior lights I paid another visit after dark on a weekend to experience the area for partying, hanging out, etc. I was surprised to see how many lights were burned out all over the complex. This property is NOT well lit. There is another complex next door that has its lighting in working order and the difference is very noticeable. Much lighter next door than at Maperidge and probably safer.Think I will check out the apartment complex next door.
First, the water is not free. There are wires the hang dangerously around some of the buildings. Some of the concrete in front and back of the buildings is broken and very dangerous for the young and old. Some of the washers/dryers do not work well. Some of the carpet in the hallways is very dirty. Some of the tenants with dogs are too lazy to clean up their dog's feces. The tennis court is a joke, the net is worn and falling apart. The balconies are extremely dangerous and in need of repair. Please, please be sure you get NEW CARPET when you move in. They will lie to you and tell you if the carpet is less than a year old, they don't have to replace it. Previous tenants have had fleas and were extremely filthy. I have been here less than a year and I am moving out very soon.
I'm looking for a one bedroom apartment I am looking to move out of flint crime and now lead in our water that's why I want to.move out of flint I'd like to be on the lower levl
I think the location is perfect, close to shopping and restaurants.
