Property Ratings at Marcus Pointe Grande Apartment Homes
The staff members are mostly friendly, although they can sometimes be a little condescending. The apartments themselves are nice - I lived in a 2 bed/ 2 bath that was quite spacious and in good condition. The maintenance staff could not be better - most issues are addressed the same day the online request is created. While they are some hidden fees from time to time, it is a relatively straightforward leasing process. The front gates rarely work, however, and there were several car thefts reported during my time living there. The amenities are excellent; the pool area was just refinished and new furniture was added. Additionally, they are currently remodeling the office area to add a new workout and yoga facility. Overall, I have few complaints regarding my time here - definitely one of the better places to live in the Pensacola area!
The MPG staff are friendly and try their best to resolve issues, but their hands are tied. Neighbors for the most part are respectful but some are not and you take the risk of getting a unit next to those types of neighbors. Residents have to use online systems and navigate through voice mail system that is somewhat frustrating to use.
I just applied here and within a couple of days I heard back and went through the process. Employees are quick and to the point. Haven and Jordan are the best

I love the Marcus Pointe team. I can call the office from a service request, getting help to get in my account or to ask general questions. They all are very friendly and always willing to help and answer any question especially Jordan and Haven. The maintenance team is just as awesome. Always quick to assist and resolve any issue. We love living at MPG. Beautiful complex and awesome apt. Customer service is above and beyond the norm both from administrative staff and maintenance staff. I recommend it highly.
No apartment complex is perfect, but Marcus Pointe does the best they can to make sure their tenants feel welcome, safe, and comfortable. The ladies in the office are super nice and always willing to help.
One of the things I have been consistently impressed by is the professionalism and promptness of the maintenance staff at Marcus Pointe Grande. Both times my wife and I have needed maintenance done, the staff that showed up were not only professional but also communicated very well what the problem was and how it was going to be fixed. Moises and Ray have been amazing and I can't recommend them more.
Marcus pointe Grande is a very nice community to live it's quite. everyone stays to them selves a far as I can see I am only there 12 days out of the month due to my job reguirements.
I recently had a plumbing issue in my apartment at Marcus Pointe Grande and would like to commend the maintenance staff for their prompt, professional and friendly handling of the issue. I would like to give specific thanks to Ray who handled the repairs. He was very friendly and professional and did an excellent job. It was a pleasure to have him fix the problem. My wife and I are very happy that we chose to live here at Marcus Pointe Grande. The property is beautiful and the staff is amazing. I would recommend it to everyone.

Had trouble with my heater on a Saturday night and within 5 minutes of putting in work order Moises called and checked in with me. He immediately came over and fixed the issue. I am always so pleased with the maintenance team at Marcus Pointe. They are all so responsive, helpful and friendly. Thank you Moises for your help. You are awesome as always.

I am continuously pleased by the staff at Marcus Pointe, especially our maintenance team. They are always quick to respond and resolve work orders that I place. Even something as simple as changing my porch light bulb. This team is so friendly and courteous while quickly taking care of any issue or request I make. I am so glad they are here to take care of our Marcus Pointe community.

I recently had experience where my car was broken into and my daughters car stolen during Hurricane Sally recovery. Once the office was notified they immediately made sure my family was ok and offered any assistance that we needed. Jordan was understanding and so helpful. When I asked for the keys to be changed to the apartment for safety reasons, Jordan and Moses immediately honored my request. Moses was at my apartment within 15 issuing new keys. The staff at Marcus Pointe is always helpful to me from assisting with basic questions to changing locks/keys for safety. They are friendly and approachable and always willing to help. I am very pleased with my Marcus Pointe team and enjoy bragging about them to anyone who will listen.
I have only been here a short while but so far I am really happy.
Marcus Pointe Grande is a very clean and quiet gated community with a great office and maintenance staff who respond very quickly to any resident needs. Very much worth the money paid to live here. Excellent customer service and an excellent place to live !!!

For the last 3 years, Marcus Pointe Apartments has been a decent spot to call home. Although a bit pricey, the apartments are well maintained and the community is relatively peaceful. Courteous staff and professional maintenance workers! Cool place to hang your hat!

I have been here almost 3 years and can honestly say That Marcus pointe grande is a beautiful ,clean, and quiet community. The office staff are easy to talk to, polite, and efficient with answers to questions or maintenance issues.
Great management team - in the sense that they're very understanding and stay in contact - love the property itself; interior may could use an update.
The beautiful flowers and plantings at the entrance enhance the complex.

I noticed my a/c wasnt blowing cold and was getting hot in the apt. I called main office and Hayden immediately notified the maintenance team. In less than 5 minutes I saw one of our maintenance workers going to my outside unit. After checking the unit he came to the door and reset my inside unit. Problem resolved. I was so happy that my management and maintenance team understood the urgency of my issue. Anytime I call the office the staff is so helpful, especially Jordan. Any work request I have had, the maintenance team is prompt and thorough. We have been so happy at Marcus Pointe we are renewing our lease for another year.
The apartments are spacious and clean, and the staff is kind and attentive.
We were invited by a resident to a pool party. With a child we went down to the pool ahead of time so the resident could finish getting ready trying to give the resident some peace and quiet. while we were at the pool we tried to use the restroom, we were denied access to the restroom because the resident was not with us at the time. We explained that the resident was on her way and what apartment she was in we also mentioned our friends lived here as well. The director was extremely rude telling us we needed to leave until the resident was present with the fob and stated they were "following rules"rather than allowing a six-year-old to go to the bathroom. One of the embarrassed event workers apologized for her attitude and explained that apparently neighborhood kids would come into the pool and swim. The director then told the event workers to go to each person at the pool and make them present their fob so that they were only feeding residents with guests. Poor advertising on your part Marcus Point Apartments. When guests are included maybe try an ounce of kindness
Lived here for 2 years after new management took over then things went down hill. They worried more about the outside and the clubhouse than the units. What looks like Black mold comes out of the shower faucet, vents turn black and they don't like spray let's not talk about the snakes showing up on the door occasionally at night. It's not worth the headache or money.
Excellent place to live. Our experience was awesome. The apartment was in perfect conditions when we move in. The personnel treat you like family. They create a bond with us and that’s so valuable. The amenities are amazing. The pool looks like a hotel one. They have a pool table in the community club. They fix everything in the apartments so faster. The community is always clean and is a peaceful place to live and spend your days relax in your home. We recommend this apartments 100%.
I moved into Marcus Pointe Grande while they were changing management companies, which made the whole move-in process a nightmare. Because I had already paid admin fees/application fees, I had invested a substantial amount of money and felt stuck, so we decided to sign the lease. My biggest complaint is that I moved here as an upgrade – my old apartment was $300 less a month for the same size space – but the amenities promised (worth the extra money) when I submitted the application are no longer available or aren’t well-managed. Prior to move-in, we were shown a clubhouse and an outside pool area with a gas grill available for residents to grill. We were told the clubhouse could be reserved for small gatherings. The grill is no longer there, and the clubhouse cannot be reserved. The pool looks nice but is never clean on the weekends when most people are free to use it. The hot tub has been green on occasion. The fitness room, once a selling point, is now another issue. They removed the blinds on the windows so that the room is a fishbowl, especially at night. Because it is 24/7, I tend to go later in the evenings. As a young woman, I am often uncomfortable thinking about people being able to look in and watch me during workouts when I can barely see anything outside the windows. They also used to stock the room with wet wipes to wipe down equipment after use, but they no longer do so. I had to purchase a $25/month gym membership at Planet Fitness because of these changes. While my move-in wasn’t ideal, I did like the office staff. Once the new management came in, the staff changed, and I once again felt like I ended up signing a lease for a different apartment complex. Rent is due on the 3rd of each month, but if that falls on a Wednesday or Thursday (when payday is Friday), don’t expect them to work with you for that extra day. This is something we specifically brought up prior to signing the lease, and the old management told us it wouldn’t be an issue. New management said, “well, there’s a reason that they’re not around anymore.” I understand that there are rules in place, but the lack of compassion with this team is very apparent. They struggle with proper communication channels. The team often sends out emails to remind us of food trucks or contests but can’t notify us via email of important matters (like the office closing early, them pressure washing our balconies so that we can move our stuff, changing our air filters).
Con: Walls are paper thin. You will pay for the same thing twice in your lease agreement (trash and valet trash) which is a waste of money. ROACHES, silverfish and termites. Carpet in the place were terrible no matter how well you keep it up. The HVAC units are either old or just terrible. In the summer inside temps get up to 83. In the winter we used space heater in the rooms. Light bill every month $170 for 2brm place. Pros: The clubhouse, pool and workout room and (coin)laundry room are decent. Never had a issue with the office staff or maintenance. Grounds are kept up well.
2 days ago hottub worked today it does not. Long term resident ammenities are down more days than they are working. Wifi and business office rarely works. Staff is discourteous and ignores matainence request. Would not reccomend this place to anyone. I have been in many apartments in various locations and this is the worst one yet. Employees have no idea what they are doing or who is living in thier apartments. Huge roach problem that has been unaddressed for 8 months i had to hire my own contractor. The gate never works. I picked this apartment because it was supposed to be the nicest and biggest but it is not. The high expenses might be worth it if everything worked, but they never will even if corporate is aware of the problems. There are ALWAYS excuses.
