Property Ratings at Marillac House Apartments
I moved in this fall 2023. The rent is extremely affordable considering the current market. Yes, the apartment is small…and outdated…but it is so cute and cozy. The architect utilized the space well and the closets are well organized and deep. Highlights are the attentive property manager, repairs are done quickly…adorable screened in porch, private entrances, it’s quiet…built in shelves in the living room….and wood burning fireplaces. I’m very happy hear….however, I do wish there were handicap parking spots in the parking lot…as of right now there are two in front of the building but you can’t park there overnight. Also, windows are very old and drafty…but heat and hot water are included. There are no leases here.
We’ve been here for a few years now and are very happy. The apartment is small and we’ve outgrown it but have decided to stay here because the rent and location can’t be beat. The landlord is also great - very fast at fixing things and the rent has only increased twice by small amounts in the years we’ve rented. The apartment itself is old but has lots of storage - closet in the bedroom, bathroom, and a coat closet/pantry. We have an outdoor screened in porch that our cats love, it also has a cute half door that lets in a lovely breeze. My only complaint is the building itself looking rundown and the parking lot being far away from half the apartments (if you rent here, request a room by the lot!). Another plus is that most renters seem to be older and it’s extremely quiet here.
Marillac Apartments is pretty nice so far - I have been here for a week and the thing I love most about it is the fact that it is within walking distance to the Fayetteville shopping center (Target, Kohls, Tops, etc), a ten minute drive to Erie Boulevard, and a fifteen minute drive to Syracuse all while feeling like a summer camp in the woods. It's nothing fancy and is quite dated, but the rent price is great and it's got everything you need. Plus, it's cat friendly and most of the units (not mine) include screen porches.
