Property Ratings at Marina 41
There has been an endless list of deceptive leasing tactics, false promises, and straight up lies perpetrated by the management team at this complex. Any promised 'improvement' is merely a facade to get ride of an amenity (pool table room, dog park, 'free' parking, etc) and raise rent as high as they can (12% a year).
The worst management I’ve ever experienced. Had to sue to resolve lease issue.
Living here for over an year, location is really great but safety is a concern had two bike stoled from the “gated” garage and people trying to enter on my apartment and when I open the door they said “wrong floor” just be careful if security/ safety is in your priority list.
Most horrible customer service. Saw a listing this morning and called them. Spoke with Michelle asking her for more information about the apartment listed. She said she would mail it to me right away. I waited an hour and did not receive it. Called them up again and spoke with Mark. He said he will make sure that I receive it and I still did not. I waited another hour and called them up again. This time a leasing agent from Marina 41 named Melissa answered the call and said that the she needs to check back with her manager as the apartment was listed wrong. I waited another hour and called up again. This time again Melissa picked it up and spoke with a very bad attitude and just pretended she would not hear half way into the conversation and hung up. I WAS READY TO SIGN THE LEASE WITH THESE GUYS. BUT IF THIS IS THE KIND OF SERVICE THEY OFFER, I DEFINITELY WILL NOT. P.S.: I HAVE A SCREENSHOT OF THE LISTING.
Marina 41 is located in a quiet relaxed setting with all local amenities At home you can relax at the pool, or get a great workout at the gym. Just a step away are local beach's, and the marina, Venice Board Walk, Abbott Kinney, with numerous local restaurant's and entertainment to choose from. On the weekend, the local famers market is across the street. A short drive to Santa Monica, downtown, Hollywood, LAX, Culver City. What more could you ask for in apartment living.
Marina 41's best attribute is location. It is nestled right between the marina and the beach (right by Venice Pier). You can walk to both in less than 3 minutes. The location is the only thing that justifies the ridiculously high rent. The apartments themselves aren't bad, but they also aren't newly renovated or particularly great. There are often issues with the elevators, parking gates, and key fobs. Overall though, you can't beat the location.
Honestly, the complex charges luxury rent prices for old, unrenovated units. But , for every resident who leaves after they raise rent, two more jostle to take their place. The simple truth is that they can get away with the pricing because the location cannot be beat. You're 4 short blocks from the Venice Beach pier, minutes from the Marina, luxury movie theatres, gyms, and all kinds of high-end shopping. The complex is safe, ensconced from the gritty reality of Venice Beach , while simultaneously offering residents the immersion in an artsy, creative vibe. Will you overpay? Unequivocally. But the three most important things in real estate are: Location, location, and finally location.
Our family of four fits comfortably in this 3 BR/3BA condo. High ceilings, exposed beams, great finishes, and an open floor plan create an ambience not felt often in this area of cookie cutter buildings. A short walk to the beach or to great shops and bars, surprisingly easy traffic, and a close knit community are all perks, as well as the year round heated pool.
Beautiful updated tower apartments in the heart of Marina del Rey. Walk to beach, restaurants. 24 hour security, pool, 24 hour gym, pool tables. Spacious week managed apartments.
You really can't beat the location. There are so many fun things to do a great places to eat and its all in walking distance. Expect a rent increase every year. They do not tend to negotiate much and do a poor job explaining the reason for the increase.
For a 2bd apartment in West Los Angeles you cannot beat the price/location combo here. You'd be hard pressed to find a 1k sqft unit with washer/dryer for the same price anywhere but here you're also walking distance to mothers beach in the marina and the great wide pacific. Want a chill walk? Hit the path behind the silver strand and enjoy a nice dirt walk along the canal. Want something tasty? Drive, walk, bike, or Lyft your way to Abbot Kinney just a mile down for eats, drinks, and shopping. The management here is a bit lack luster and I've got some neighbors that scream and know the police by name but my high ceilings and walks to the water help me turn a blind eye. This building is also pet friendly, has a pool, "gym", and gated assigned parking.
