Weāre trying to contact to schedule a tour. But no one ever picked up the phone, we sent a message through this app. And when they respond, itās so choppy and u professional. We had to initiate for every question. At the end, we said we would like to have a tour around the unit. They said theyāre closed today, which is yesterday - Monday, is tomorrow okay? We said yes l, can we tour around 2-3pm or anytime afternoon. They never responded since then. Today I tried to call again that number, he/she kept declining the call. Then we messaged them to ask about the tour today. After so many messages, they said, āSorry look like we are all booked today. How about tomorrow?ā What kind of service is this? Werenāt they supposed to check the schedule yesterday before they ask if I could come today? And after I gave out the time, they should respond and confirm if itās booked or not. Why wait until we tried to contact several time and said there is no more time. Super unprofessional and unresponsive.
these old apartments calls themselves luxury. get out of here, fyi reason why rent is so high because travelers that work at the area rent for free they get reimbursed and the locals suffer.
I would give negative stars if it was possible. I moved in a few days ago and I found the apartment in the worst condition I ever saw one upon a move in. It smells. The kitchen is dirty. After whatever I touch inside the apartment, I need/want to wash my hands. The heater is not working. The window blinds and screens are dirty. The blinds are hard to move. 9 blinds pieces simply fell off as I closed them in the evening and opened in the morning in the span of 4 days. The office is not helpful at all. After I got the keys and saw the condition the apartment is in, I walked back and told the leasing office about it. They said, "oh, it should not be in that condition. It all should have been done". 4 days later nothing is fixed even though I daily bugged them. I want to move out already.
Two months back I was very much in need of a place, so I booked an apartment at Marina Playa. When I informed my friends, I got bad reviews (to mention few- lake is not cleaned regularly, lot of mosquitoes, cold shower water, deposit never returned) . So I went ahead and cancelled by booking within 24 hours. Its been TWO MONTHS now and I still haven't received by security deposit, I have called them a hundred times, no body bothers to follow up, the answer always is "it will be sent soon, wait for a week". I wish I could give "0" stars. I would never do business with them again. Poor Ethics.
I'm a resident here, the leasing office is very irresponsive. They would take days to weeks to even respond you back. This place is noisy, expensive and not so great. You can get better in same price.
We had lot of problems in our apartment when we moved here,so I complained about this then Roy (the service guy)came and fixed all the problems.He is very hardworking guy.
I would give negative stars if there is one. First of all, the houses are very old, all appliances are very old. You will get at least $130-150 monthly maintenance charges (water/trash/hot-water etc). The worst management ever. No matter how clean you keep your apartment, expect at least $500-600 charges after you move out. And this is only if you kept everything clean. If even one thing not-clean, broken or damaged, then they will suck exorbitant money out of you. If you move out before 2-3 years, expect additional painting charges of $100-200. Save yourself, try to avoid this community. It looks nice from outside, but dirty inside, nothing special about it.
I wanted to give negative stars. I lived here last 4 years and when i moved out from my apartment this month. There was no pre move out inspection happened. Legally landlord should give written notice to the tenant for initial inspection and tenant should know the expense before he moves out. And tenant can repair the damages on his own before move out. Not sure if we follow the law. I went to the leasing office asked them 3 times when is the pre move out inspection scheduled. They said oh did not happen yet, we will send you a notice and then we will come to your apartment unit for inspection. This never ever happened even after i ask 3 times. After 10 days of my move out, they took pics of my unit and sent a final bill of $1400 . I went to leasing office again and asked for explanation, why the pre move out inspection did not happen, why i was not given chances to know this before i move out. The answer was oh, really , we are very sorry for this. Last year when i renewed my lease, i asked them for cleaning more then 5 times, they never did it. Eventually i had to hire cleaners for $130 for cleaning the house completely. I'm not sure how marina playa can pay $1400 for cleaning a 1 BHK. to me nothing is broken its just a cleaning. I sent several follow up emails to give an explanation for why the pre move out did not happen. Not sure if there is a proper reason for this. Please follow the law and charge an decent amount.
I would give 0 stars if there was an option. Worst management I ever have seen. Their only objective is to squeeze money from you. There are many bachelors living there as a group and too much noise at night. Once you move out expect a minimum $400-$500 charges regardless how well you maintained your unit. Also, it's not a clean place to live.
Although Marina Playa is an old apartment almost all modern amenities are available. The environment is excellent with blocks spread across wide area and around the lake which attracts seasonal birds. Right opposite to DMV and El Camino this apartment is within walking distance of all kinds of shops and eating places. Last but not least Lawrance Ex way is adjacent providing quick access to state freeways, this place is ideal for anyone working around Santa Clara, San Jose, Milpitas and Sunnyvale.
