Property Ratings at Marina Pointe
Lived at this complex with my girlfriend for 2 years in their loft style apartment. Nothing but problems. Cockroaches, cockroaches, and even more cockroaches. First night after we moved in, I was greeted by 10+ cockroaches in the kitchen, as well as one in the bedroom. We let them know about this and someone came and sprayed for maybe 30 seconds, and that was it. Did nothing. Was a battle for the entirety of the 2 years we lived there, and I wish the next tenants luck. Good luck taking an evening stroll without dodging cockroaches on the sidewalk as well! Maintenance is dreadfully understaffed. Our air conditioning went out during the middle of the summer, and we had to wait A MONTH just to get a window unit installed in our bedroom. Them leaving tenants without air conditioning in the SUMMER for a month is unacceptable. Never received any formal apology or compensation. After that we had to wait another month to have a new unit installed, in which the installers left us a lovely stain on the carpet (which we were later billed for after moving out, even though we spent $100 on a carpet cleaner trying to clean up their stain). The leasing office is impossible to get into contact with. They never answer the phone. The office was hardly ever busy, and I don't understand what is so hard about picking up a phone. I won't even get into the absurd rent price for the loft unit, because that is on us for letting them talk us into it. We were the perfect tenants. Respectful to our neighbors, never harassed anyone in the office about the absurd delays on every maintenance request, never smoked, and left our apartment looking better than we found it, and with significantly less cockroaches. Didn't matter, they took advantage of us on move-out and billed us for things that were unbelievably minor and I know they will not be fixed, as they were issues prior to us moving in two years ago. Please save yourself the headache and stay away. Can't even tell you how many next door neighbors we saw come and go, and it is pretty obvious why the turnover rate at this complex is so high.

Apartment Complexes Please Do Better! Marina Pointe Apartments Do Better! “MOLD AND ROACHES: We Signed a 14 month lease August 2020 and within months we noticed mold and roaches-big roaches! We made phone calls, left voicemails, sent maintenance requests, sent emails and in person meetings to no avail! The apartment complex changed management, got new roofs on all buildings, redid pavement, new signs all around and repainted all buildings-all while our apartment was filled with black mold throughout-ceiling fans, walls, windowsills, inside closets, kitchen area etc. No resolution was provided but they did offer to transfer us ONLY IF we provided verification of income AND gave them a $300 transfer fee! They also sprayed peroxide and painted the windowsills which did not work-quick coverup! Furthermore, they left us with a dehumidifier for almost 2 months thinking that would catch the moisture in the air-that didn’t work either! Mold was still present! Renters insurance did not cover due to it being an internal foundation issue. Furniture and clothing had to be thrown out upon moving out! We have tried to be civil by meeting privately, sent respectful emails, were very very patient over 5 months, but to no avail has anything been resolved! We were told the Regional Manager was in town in Sept 2021 and would be reviewing the situation and someone would be in touch-that was a month ago! Upon moving out, We have incurred unexpected expenses for new furniture, medical bills for breathing treatments, new clothing etc and we just want some type of reimbursement for our loss! PLEASE MARINA POINTE, TREAT YOUR TENANTS BETTER AND WORK ON RESOLVING ONGOING ISSUES HEAD ON! Avoiding mold issues will cause further health issues and losing tenants. Thank You For Your Time!”
I enjoy living at Marina Point !! I have lived here four years !!!It is my home and I enjoy it .
Marina Pointe is a great place to live. The grounds are well kept and service from the office staff and maintenance crew are great. Plus, theyre very friendly. Its easy living here at Marina Pointe.
I love where I now reside and the staff is super awesome to interact with about any matter. Best place to be.
I love living here going on my third year here. It is wonderful to see all the new improvement that are being done.
I love it here! The amenities are slowly being opened and are clean. As a retiree, I find monthly community events are great and a time to meet some neighbors!
Marina Pointe has been nice. I do love the location and the unit. My only and biggest complaint is the parking.
I have lived here for a little over 2 years and its been great! The office staff have always been helpful and respectful with any issues I may have. Its a great place to call home!
The staff at this property is the best. All three ladies are warm and genuine with me when I stop in to speak to them while passing by, picking up mailed packages or going into the Fitness center. Ive always gotten professional response and assistance from either of them, Amy, Jacque, and Ava
I have lived at Marina Point for two years and been very happy here. Staff is very helpful.
I have absolutely loved my time at Marina Pointe. The complex is so clean and safe. The office staff is amazing- quick to respond to concerns and always super pleasant and professional. I love it here!
Staff has been very friendly and accommodating in front office as well as the maintenance team.
I took a long time deciding where to sign my lease. I looked at duplexes in St Elmo, new flats on the Southside, townhomes in Red Bank; toured all kinds of places. No where else did I receive the kindness, promptness, and professionalism that Ava showed while communicating with Marina Pointe. Great management! Lakeside is the biggest plus, but a few other perks include sizable units, big kitchens, nice bathtub, all solid appliances, good trash service, lots of natural light for my plants ( a big patio), responsive maintenance team, pool / hot tub, gym, and the location is shockingly close to everything I need.
Marina Pointe is such a great community to call home. The people in the leasing office and the maintenance staff are very kind and professional. The property as a whole is very well maintained.
Staff is openly friendly and professional whenever I have a need for service.
It is a very nice apartment complex, that is well maintained and managed.
I would recommend this complex. It is in a quite location, and management always worked to accommodate anything we asked of them. One thing that could use some support was maintenance -- they generally repaired things, but many times it was a short term "fix" not an actual one. Also, we were in a ground floor (basement) type apartment, and it was not cleaned. When blowing did occur, it was just left at the bottom where we lived, lots of cobwebs, and generally didn't have the appearance of the upper floors. Could use some TLC in those basement/ground units. Overall I would recommend, just would not recommend the basement/ground level. It's the forgotten child in the complex.
It’s a quiet place to live. Parking isn’t great but overall I have enjoyed living here.
It is a quite environment with an awesome staff that will ensure your concerns are met in a timely manner and always are smiling no matter the situation.
I love this place and the staff. I’ve never really experienced a bad with any of the staff or maintenance techs
Aside from parking, Marina Pointe has been a great place to live for the last two years.
The staff for this community is wonderful. It has been a great experience thus far.
Great apartment, good amenities, nice walking area, always had great service from office staff and maintenance. Nice appliances, easy move in/move out process.
Would not, traffic and ease of access via roads is difficult and annoying.
Would - Neat and clean and meet my expectation for homing. Wouldn't - High Pricing. I get the least price initially, but year after extension of the lease, the price hikes up drastically every year.
I would highly recommend Marina Pointe Apartments to anyone in the market for an apartment!
It is pleasant. Apartment layouts are good, the wooded backgrounds are inviting. I really like having a garage. The people I have met are friendly. The rent is competitive. It is all great.
Submitting was easy, the service was done quickly and cleanly, and I was notified when it was done quickly.
Location. Pool. Staff and team are all strong qualities that made this a good experience. Overall a friendly and safe place to call home.
Jacqui is great. Appearance of the apartments inviting, as is the wooded area behind. Having a garage is so nice. There are no downsides.
I would definitely recommend Marina Pointe. I have said positive things about it at work. The apartments are clean and well-maintained. Office personnel is friendly and helpful. Neighbors are friendly and relatively quiet. The trash service is nice to have.
The rent we pay is almost as much as our last house payment. Upgrades should be made, ex new dishwashers, cleaning of patios, replace windows, and general landscaping.
We live in a service oriented world. I very appreciate that my needs were taken seriously and in a prompt manner. And the job was done well and in a professional way.
The community and the area in general has greatly improved over the last few years. When I first came here, I felt like I was in the boonies because it seems so quiet and secluded. To be able to have that feeling while also being quite close to everything is pretty impressive.
Marina Pointe is a very quiet and friendly community. It is beautiful and clean. I am happy that I moved here
Quite, excellent office management, caliber of people in the community general respectful, quite, with no neighbor issues.
I already recommend it to my peers, saying Marina Point is a diamond in the rough compared to all the other options
there are cockroaches throughout the our apartment with is unfortunate!
It is very nice, but people do not pick up after their dogs. And I have children over me who make loud noises .
Nice complex, nice swimming pool area, walk to the lake. Cons: Bad insulation of the buildings, very cold bathroom and walkin closet room. No outside cleaning from the windows possible (3. Floor) they are always dirty
It's a great place to reside, I get along well with each staff mbr that I encounter with an openness that I exude.
I think a gated key entry would be nice. Other than that, love Marina Pointe.
I like the community but rent prices are high considering the location and size of apartments.
I like the environment and I like the floor plan inside my apartment.
I lived at this place while I was doing rotations for school. It was an absolute nightmare. I had adult cockroaches EVERYWHERE. And if the adults weren't bad enough, I had babies- about 20-25 that hatched in a small hole between my shower and wall so they were running down the wall in my shower. And even though they tried telling me that I was the only one that had problems, I had a friend across the hall who also had cockroaches everywhere. Their way of solving the problems is by sending someone out every other week to spray for 5 seconds in the kitchen only. They would not fume my place or take any other actions. Good luck to anyone who lives here.
The apt is a decent value for the money but nothing special
We had bug issues from the day we moved in. We put in maintenance requests every month since we moved in and every time we were told that there was not an issue. I found two cockroaches in my bed on two different occasions. We would find them in our clean linens and in our towels and they would come out of our couch. They were all over the house for the six months that we lived there and the issue was never solved. We just kept getting told that there was no issue and they had done everything that they could. We ended up having to break our lease because we felt disgusted to live in our own apartment that we were paying for. When it came to the fees for breaking the lease they were not willing to work with us on coming to a reasonable settlement. They told us that we had to pay all the fees and that the only thing they could do was set up a payment plan. We were not impressed with how the situation was handled.
One big drawback for myself is the number of irresponsible pet owners. The grass is destroyed in good portions in front of my BLDG due to constant irritation in the same spots. Owners that do not pick up waste. LARGE dogs barking at anything that moves on patios at all hours.
We love living here. Only thing we do not enjoy is the roach problem. It?s too much somedays.
